Two years ago I almost missed an important date for me and I blamed myself for it. Last year, caught up in my move and my new job, I completely forgot about it. I blamed myself. It took me a year to understand that it's just a date, and that the important memory isn't there. 

The important thing is to continue to remember the bursts of laughter and the freckles, the treehouses and the pillow fights, the wrinkled nose at a bad joke, the walks in the fields and board games.

I didn't forget the date this year. But above all, I have not forgotten your smile, good night little star 🌠
