Taking someone's cigarette out of their mouth: Multiple meanings - used a lot in media to convey control, power play, very masculine, I'm your boss and this is mine now, get over it. Mildly flirty, look at me, all in your space and shit, seductive. You're not allowed to smoke, because I say so.

Putting the cigarette back in their mouth afterwards: Ground-breaking. Would be less erotic to just fuck honestly. Who does this?

Mini Update!

I'm gonna be a bit quiet while I'm overhauling the outline, so I thought I'd share some of what I'm listening to while I do.

I've been talking to my therapist about this (which she adores!! so exciting) and it's helped a lot! I'm officially gonna make the first, og heist into one book! It's the best way to tell the story, without the pressure of worrying about fitting everything in after. It admittedly won't be super long, but my brain likes the idea a lot.

Everything after that will ideally be one book, but from the sheer content of all the individual RO story routes, dating and poly dating aside, means it may likely end up as multiple. We'll see where it goes!

I'm open to hearing feedback from you guys about this! I always enjoy hearing what aspects people like and what they'd like to see different! :)

Cerberus: Laughing wildly as you ride through the desert, the flash of nightclub lights, hand in hand as you run from the cops, the wind in your hair as you both jump from rooftop to rooftop, her forehead pressed to yours as you come down from the adrenaline high

Ideal date for all the ROs? 👀👀

Bones: Giggling together in a booth seat at a shitty diner, hand in hand, quiet talks about deep thoughts over gravy soaked fries and milkshakes.

Jesper: Sitting in quiet together, foreheads pressed together, hands linked, quiet laughter in holo viewing theaters, running from freshly graffitied walls

Signal: Legs dangling from the ledge of a skyscraper, take out kebabs and kefir drinks, shared earbuds and smiles, sneaking around in shadows hand in hand

Charon: Dressing each other up, glitter and sneakers, dancing in holographic rain to music only you both can hear, stolen jewels draped over your shoulders, careful kisses to your knuckles

What’s your favorite thing about the crew as their creator & writer?

they all come from very different socioeconomic backgrounds!

I wanted to make sure the game showed that it's not just the people being effected by planned obsolescence that are prepared to do something about it, but an acknowledged societal issue

I also love how they end up as a group mainly because Cerberus decided kidnapping was a valid recruitment tactic.

this was surprisingly hard for me! probably because they're all my babies lol

Favorite: Happy to sit in silence with me

Least Favorite: Comes off as an asshole when he talks to strangers

Cerberus

Favorite: Charismatic and happy to chat about anything

Least Favorite: Looms over me and kinda makes me feel like prey

Charon

Favorite: Always carries snacks and wants to buy me a coffee upon meeting

Least Favorite: Has a mask of people pleasing socialite, can feel ingenuous and fake

Bones

Favorite: Incredibly caring, asks after how I'm doing and is happy to gossip with me

Least Favorite: Can come off as bossy sometimes, she's often under a lot of stress or in a rush, and will speak without thinking

Favorite: He's quietly sweet, and happy to listen to infodumps

Least Favorite: The smoke of his Zenne cigs. The smell is fine, but I'm not a fan of smoke in general

Welcome back! Since the heist will be the prologue now does that mean the stuff in the current demo won’t be in the rewrite?

everything in the demo is part of the prologue! the first heist is bringing the gang together via MC's theft of the data. MC is only one person, after all. Signal, Charon, and Cerberus have been working on the same thing, so MC ends up unknowingly helping them, and they pay the favor back :)

After the first heist, the game will ideally split into individual character routes, exploring the ROs lives and histories, and with a focus on social issues each is passionate about

Hi & welcome back! I was wondering do rich people get a lot of augmentations or is it something seem as low class?

It's not uncommon for the high class members of society to completely change out their mods with the season, similar to following fashion trends.

There are many mods that are regulated to the rich simply because of the sheer expense of them. Mods that effect the skeletal structure of the person have to be maintained and upgraded far more regularly than most.

A good example of this is wings. They're mostly aesthetic, and the smaller the wings the less invasive they are in the body.

A bit of a spoiler below!

A good example of invasive wings is actually Cerberus! Her entire torso is modified to support them. Her rib cage and spine have both been replaced with implants to support the wings, and she still requires monthly maintenance.

Wings like Cerberus' had to be installed as a child, ideally before your child starts to walk, so they'll be used to the weight.

Cerberus would be absolutely giddy with delight. She'd think it was so so cute and would take a ton of selfies of the two of you wearing them together. She'd love it when you match her in public, the confidence boost it gives her is wild. You match, you're a pair! It awakens something smug and satisfied within her.

Progress!

It’s been a long year, but I wanted to let everyone still here know I’m back to work! I’ve gotten a grip on my health issues so they’re manageable, and I’ve had some fresh eyes look over the demo and I’m very excited to keep going.

I will be restructuring the game a bit! The heist the demo focuses on will be the prologue, if a long one, and chapters after that will focus on stories with individual or pairs of the ROs! I want to be able to explore their stories and histories with you.

As always, I’m happy to talk about characters and world building and answer any questions<3
