What’s your thoughts on Todocest? I recently joined twitter, and I got absolutely blasted by Todocest shippers(mostly Dabi/Touya X Enji ones) for saying I don’t think it’s canon, and while yes maybe Touya does have a very toxic and obsessive nature towards his father. I never interpret his behaviour as sexual or him wanting to have sex with his father and even Skeptic insulting him with that father-con thing didn’t make me interpret Todocest as canon??

I swear I did a double take when I first read this ask. Anyway incest shipping is nasty. Touya and Enji’s relationship is toxic and obsessive but there’s nothing between them that’s anything but familial. The same goes for Shouto & Dabi because unfortunately I’ve seen that too. I honestly just think people don’t realize that you can have deep, meaningful relationships in fiction that aren’t limited to romance.

Touya’s obsession with his father comes from a son wanting his father’s approval, nothing more. To imply there’s anything more going on is just sick imo

Update to this? I’ve read 9 books this year, excluding 2 i DNF’d, 7 of which were on kindle and 2 which were physical (I am finding myself preferring kindle) and I’m about halfway through my tenth. So that’s 9&1/2 books read in one year after 10+ years of not touching a thing I can’t sing enough praises for kindle seriously if you want to get back into reading it’s worth every cent. Also- from my experience at least -buying on Kindle is significantly cheaper than buying physical books.

Seriously if you’re on the fence about it go get one it’s soooo worth it

I began using a kindle this year and it’s been 7 months and I’ve read more than I’ve read in probably 15 years I have fallen in love with books and reading all over again and so far I’ve read 5 amazing books. I’m currently reading my sixth. Ik that’s not a lot to a lot of people but I haven’t read a book since 2021, and before then I don’t even remember the last time I picked a book and read one was. Now I literally cannot put my kindle down I love it so much. If you’re wondering whether or not to invest in a kindle this is your sign to do it it’s literally my favorite thing I own these days
