I think they’d have three separate reactions to it.

Concern. Skylar doesn’t really mind enclosed spaces but they’d want to make sure that you were all right. Giving as much space as you needed— unless you needed them closer— as Skylar tries to figure a way out (if the MC was panicking/anxious then they’d bash their way… consequences be damned).

Happy. If everything was all right and they knew the problem would be resolved quickly then Skylar would be a bit happy about the situation. After all they’re alone with you… what been what to spend their afternoon.

Amused. They’d find it somewhat amusing that they got trapped in a small space with you— there mother is going to be even more amused— and the subsequent jokes they know will be coming when they get out.

Lady D is actually one of the inspirations for Queen Aerilyn. Part of the reason why I wanted a tall vampire mother in my works too.

I usually play MCs around my own height too (or an inch taller). Playing short MCs is always fun too.

She’s supposed to be 9 feet exactly but I think that was just me typing in the height comparison wrong 😂. My bad.

I just wanted a tall vampire mother and now seemed like the perfect time to make said character.

Sky is not as tall as their mother (not even close) but they are tall. They’re around 6’3-4”.

Queen Aerilyn has fair skin— completely unblemished due to her vampirism— and is ethereally beautiful (also due, in part, to her vampirism). She has long raven black hair that’s a mixture of waves and soft curls (it falls across her back). She’s a woman of upmost grace and elegance with a voice that oozes power. Known far and wide for her compassion and generosity but also her prowess in battle and unwavering devotion to defeat all those that wish to harm her people (Ethia).

About 500 years? Holy shit... If you don't mind me asking author, what are skyler like in those 500 years of mc being dead?

The first 200 years were the worst but it got somewhat better somewhere in the early 300 (something) year… Skylar wasn’t okay by any means but they had hope that their love for you— and your love for them— would stand the test of time and you’d be reunited once more.

Aerilyn was a big help for Skylar (as was Skylar’s best friend). They wouldn’t have been able to do it without her.

It’s a name that has a ready to go nickname (Sky) and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of having three separate names for Sky. Sort of like @sinners-if does with Grey.

Aerilyn thinks of the MC fondly. Simply because you make her child happy and that’s all she could ever ask for in a person. With how busy she was she was never able to truly spend time with you, but she hopes that can change this time around. So you can get to know one another a bit more.

She’s happy that you’re back. She’s happy that her child gets a chance at happiness.

Maybe this is spoiler territory but, when Mc died and was reincarnated, is Skylar’s mark on Mc still there? Or did it disappear? Is the mark a lifetime thing? When their mate dies, does that mean they can’t find a different mate again and have to wait for their mate to be reincarnated? So sorry for bombing you with questions, I’m just really curious and interested in your story!

Skylar didn’t mark the MC. The mating bond wasn’t completed— as that’s the last step to do— but that doesn’t mean you weren’t mates… it just means other people weren’t blatantly aware of Skylar’s claim over you (and you over them).

The mark is a lifetime thing.

Vampires only have one mate. If the mating bond is complete and the other mate dies then they’d follow their mate to the grave. If the mating bond wasn’t complete, like in Skylar’s case, they will feel the impulse to follow their mate (just at a more toned down level). Reincarnation has a very slim chance of happening… so they’d mainly spend the rest of their life alone (if they chose to do so).

It’ll be an obvious thing but Skylar doesn’t wish to rush into anything— no matter how much they may wish to do so— because they want you to become comfortable before initiating the completion of the mating bond.

Which is why it’s so unfortunate that a war breaks out across Ethia.

Will they be immortal too? Second, when you're talking about mates you mentioned human and lycans does that mean vamps can only be mates with those two species? Last, you mentioned mates sharing bite marks, is that after the human mate got turned into a vamp or will the vamp mate walk around with human teeth shaped mark?🤣

No. Vampires can’t have children.

There aren’t a lot of species within the world, but a vampire could technically be mates with any of them. Vampires being mates with another vampire is the most common, but humans and lycans happen too (albeit more rarely).

The mating bite didn’t happen. The bond wasn’t completed the first time around, which is why Skylar didn’t follow your past self to the grave. The bite only happens once the MC is changed.

Following that, is Skylar going to like us because we are our past self, or are they going to get to know a new us?

Some facets of the MC are the same— as you are still technically the same person— but you’re not the exact same as you have a completely different life from your past one. Skylar isn’t the same as your memories remember them to be either, and you’re not exactly how they remember too.

It’s both. It’ll be remembering the past with you both but knowing that not everything is the same— nor will it ever truly be the same— and moving onto your future together.
