Truly love the number of people I've met that have been like "Well I went to a Catholic school as a kid, which is to say I'm not Catholic" like damn Catholic schools really out here doing the exact opposite of missionary work.

#my school advertised itself as not being catholic #even though it was #and it was weird for me because my mom didn't want me becoming catholic #but my grandpa sure did (he eventually gave up) #weirdest part is that they like. had a praying session every morning #but only for the grades in elementary shcool so no kindergardeners or middleschoolers #it was very awkward because #and i'm 99% i was the reason why they started doing this #but if you weren’t catholic and did want to. you know. do the praying. #they made you stand outside #which in theory is fine and dandy #the problem is that they did this first thing in the morning aka 7-8 am #and throughout autumn winter and early spring it meant it was freezing #they eventually started letting kids stay in the auditorium #probably because a parent of the other 3 kids that weren’t catholic went ballistic on them #didn’t want to*
