Seeing God working so hard in the lives of the people around me keeps me in a permanent state of wonder. He is an awesome God and so tender and merciful. The more I dedicate myself to Him, the more clearly I see Him in everything I do. Praise the LORD. The truth has set me free. My wish is that everyone will find the peace I have found in Christ.

the more i stray away from christ, the more empty i feel. lord save me. the evil inside of me is attempting to take over.

If you take the bus, wave to the driver and thank them as you're getting off the bus.

Being a bus driver is an underappreciated and difficult job but still very vital to society. They still have to do customer service and deal with rude and even aggressive passengers, and on top of that have to deal with traffic and other drivers all day (and let's face it, there's a lot of bad drivers out there who aren't considerate about sharing the road). All while providing an invaluable service of getting us where we need to go. Showing them some appreciation can go a long ways for someone doing such an important job that usually gets little to no recognition or thanks.

We are called to do good deeds, but it is not through good deeds that we are saved. If we were to be saved by our deeds, then it would not have been necessary for the Lord to come down and save us. We are saved only by the mercy of God. It is the Grace of God that saves. The Lord saves. We can get a reward for our good deeds, but salvation is from God.

Reasons someone may not have replied that aren’t the bad reasons your brain suggests to you (they’re mad, stopped caring, you aren’t important, etc).

They’re asleep/resting.

They have no service.

They want to take time to form their reply.

They don’t have the energy to reply right now.

They’re working / don’t have access to their phone.

They accidentally opened the notification and meant to reply and got distracted (this doesn’t mean they don’t care either! I do this a lot and I love my loved ones dearly. My brain is just chaotic sometimes.)

They’re in a really bad place.

They’re in a situation where it’s rude to use their phone.

They really just want a break from talking to people.

They are enjoying a movie, game, activity, etc.

Something came up they had to deal with asap.

A lot of the time, to challenge irrational thoughts we need alternative explanations to combat them. Here are some for a situation when a loved one hasn’t replied to you. I encourage you to plan for other situations that come up for you as well.

Brothers and sisters, please pray for my older brother. He’s been going through a tough battle with anxiety and depression his whole life and even though I’m trying my best to help him and he’s making some progress, he still needs a lot of prayers.
