i’m like if a man and a woman had a baby and it grew up in a tumultuous society with undiagnosed mental disorders and unrestricted internet access

*through gritted teeth* you are not a child taking a test with the purpose of getting the highest score, you are an adult trying new things and finding ways to enjoy your life, make mistakes, be a beginner, be mediocre, be where you need to be, be unlikeable, just. be.

our bodies are 99.99999 percent empty space between the protons, neutrons and electrons that make us up.... if you removed all of the empty space inside us our body would not be visible to the naked eye...
that sounds cool honestly i love being nothing i love being negative space i would die for anything

the feeling of knowing that you are the reason that all of your friendships are dead and gone. and its so long ago everyone else has forgotten - except you because you drown every night in your tears filled with regret and the everlasting hopes of “what if”

Whenever you feel alone, it’s your thoughts telling you hurtful things like no one cares about you, you’re too much of this, too little of that, you’re not thin enough to be loved, not smart enough for good grades, not loveable enough to be liked or not interesting enough to be remembered. This is just to let you know that those are all lies and your thoughts are there not because they’re true but because you’ve always thought like that and it’s habitual. You may have had moments where you had no one, moments you missed someone, or had friends who drifted apart or people who treated you badly. But there are people you don’t know yet who will love you one day, people whose lives are made lovelier by you or people who secretly admire you from afar. You can achieve amazing things and find the kind of connections you’re looking for. Your body is more than numbers. Your intelligence is more than grades. You are more than who you think you are. To some people, you’re perfect and beautiful with your flaws included. You don’t deserve to punish yourself, you deserve to take care of yourself like you would take care of something you loved. Don’t let these baseless thoughts weigh you down for too long. Let them pass and know you’re full of stars and blooming flowers and nothing can take that away.

“In a hundred years of movies, homosexuality has only rarely been depicted on the screen. When it did appear, it was there as something to laugh at, or something to pity, or even something to fear. These were fleeting images, but they were unforgettable, and they left a lasting legacy. Hollywood, that great maker of myths, taught straight people what to think about gay people… and gay people what to think about themselves.” (The Celluloid Closet, 1996)
