Hello, people. Long time, no see.

I have recently redownloaded Tumblr and migrated to another account. I don’t do Marvel or Voltron stuff any more (sorry for those of you interested in that). My current hyperfixation is The Owl House, and that is what I am primarily posting about. However, if you’re okay with the change in fandom and want to see how my art and writing has improved, I encourage you to follow.

Why I Left Tumblr

Hello, long time no see. I realize now that I left this site sort of... abruptly, and I feel like you deserve an explanation, especially after all the support I’ve received on my art and writing from you guys. You are all wonderful and I very much appreciate you for your kindness.

To start of, this post isn’t meant to spark a conflict. We’ve had too much of that lately, and have lost the incredible ability to have respectful conversation while disagreeing. I am writing this post with complete honesty, and know that that might mean you don’t like what I say. I love debating and would enjoy it thoroughly :) A warning, I discuss politics, religion, and pedophilia in this post. If this will make you uncomfortable, please don’t read.

First off, some context. I am a Christian, a left leaning, scientifically minded Christian, but one all the same. I support the LGBTQ+ community and do hope I am an anti-racist, despite some Christians using the Bible to justify the horrible discrimination towards other human beings. They are ignoring that their faith calls them to love everyone with all of their hearts, in favor of mistranslated Bible verses.

I loved Tumblr because it allowed me to share my artwork, my thoughts and writing and life, but something rubbed me the wrong way. I often saw posts sharing things about politics or homophobia or racism. These things aren’t bad, in fact, it’s so wonderful that people are sharing this with others when they may not know. The thing that bothered me was the posts saying that if you don’t reblog this, get off my blog or if you don’t agree, you suck and you’re a horrible human being. One in particular that really disturbed me said that if you believe that pedophilia is a sexual orientation or has anything to do with the LGBTQ+ community, you can jump off a building and burn yourself. I don’t care who you are or who you’re talking about, to say someone should kill themselves is horrible and cruel. I didn’t want to share that, but the post said that if I didn’t reblog it, I was a horrible human being.  The posts about getting off my blog if you don’t agree are not quite as horrible, but still bothersome. By saying that you are becoming what the Republicans are when they shut out any person who disagrees. We must be able to talk with those who think differently than us, else we never improve as human beings. When you think about it, the person you disagree with believes that they are completely right in their thinking, and you do, too. I am wrong in some way, and you are too.

I left because of these posts, as they did no align with my love all, forgive all belief system. If there’s anything I want you to take away with after reading this, I would love you to be able to be open to different thinking, and be more mindful of what you reblog. It’s okay to share information, but not hatred. Note that by saying horrible things to another person, you’re never going to make them change their way of thinking.

Just a gentle reminder for tumblr users with anxiety, panic disorders or who get nervous quickly:

Pt. 3 of Angsty Peter Parker Headcanons/Tropes:

Imagine Peter writing a suicide note everyday before bed, but never actually having the "strength" to act on it. He keeps a little diary and everyday he writes who he's saying goodbye to and his reasoning for wanting to kill himself that day. To take it a step farther, have Tony or May or someone find the diary while going through Peter's things. OR have Tony or May find the diary after Peter has already passed.

Ok, how about Peter going away to Germany with Tiny for Civil War and him coming back to find May dead in the apartment when Hydra agents tried to kidnap Peter and find out he wasn't there.

Peter not being able to have a school/social life because he needs to make money to keep his and May's apartment and keep food in their stomach's.

Orphan! Peter Parker sabotaging his adoptions because he can't risk letting anyone find out he's Spider-Man.

Peter getting kicked out of Midtown High after Uncle Ben's death because he can't keep his grades up and is no longer meeting the school's exceptions.

Peter practically starving himself because May can't afford enough food for his metabolism.

Peter Parker who dissociates.

How about Aunt May is dead and Uncle Ben is forced to come back from the military to watch over little Peter. The day Uncle Ben's supposed to come home, the social security lady comes up to the boy and explains his Uncle died after the plane was ambushed, thus making Peter an orphan.

I can't believe I have mentioned this yet, but BULLYING. Even though Peter can take what Flash gives him, I bet it still hurts and leaves an emotional bruise on him. Maybe sometimes Flash's insults hit a little too close to home.

After Peter's parents die, think of Peter being forced to live with abusive cousins as May and Ben fight for custody over the boy.

Extra Angsty Peter Parker headcanons and tropes:

This one's a bit long, but oh well: Imagine Peter growing up with Aunt May and he doesn't really have a big "father-figure" in his life. So, at the ripe age of thirteen he starts working with Quentin Beck. (Beck starts his own company after Stark kicks him off the BARF team, come at me.) Peter and Beck hit it off right away and Peter thinks of the man as his father. So, a couple years down the line Beck "disappears" and is presumed dead. Peter is devastated but soon enough Tony is there to take him to Germany and whatnot. Now, timeskip to Spider-Man Far From Home, Peter trusts the "multiverse Beck" because he doesn't know that "multiverse Beck" is his childhood father figure. Then we go through the idea of Beck betraying Peter and Peter finding out that that is his legitimate father figure from way back when. Peter would be betrayed and heartbroken that Beck wasn't actually dead seven after he mourned the man for years. Angst ensures :(

Peter Parker self harms. If you think otherwise, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. His parents died, his uncle died IN FRONT OF HIM, he has to live with the death of everyone he couldn't save while on patrol, Tony died. Hell, HE DIED.

Imagine Peter being an orphan and instead of him staying in one orphanage he's moved around a lot throughout cities and whatnot. New York City, Queens, Chicago, New Jersey, anywhere. This would make it really difficult for him to have friends.

How about Secretary Ross's plan to control mutants? What if Tony never found Peter and instead, Ross did. Think about Peter living in the raft by himself with a bunch of soliders. Maybe never escaping until it sinks and he's forced be lost at sea for a couple days on a couple peices of wood.

I love the idea of color blind Peter. It's not angst and there's nothing wrong with being colorblind, but maybe the boy struggles on growing up with it and the bullying it causes.

What about Oscorp kidnapping Peter to experiment with his Spider Powers. Or - even better - Peter's parents who work for Oscorp still being alive and taking Peter to an underground/hidden place where the boy only ever sees scientists and gets experimented on until the Avengers come save him one day.

Peter traveling with his class on a school trip and him getting a panic attack in front of everyone because he can't stand being on planes. (Because of his parent's deaths)

Peter loving sports and after he's bitten by the spider, slowly coming to the solution that he's never going to be able to play them.

I have so many more of these, it's kinda insane, but those were just a few. @unprofessional-zombie
