UPDATE on "It Was Enchanting To Meet You"
Hi guys, so I wasn't able to upload a chapter these past two weeks because I've been busy with a lot of school work. With these upcoming weeks, I have a lot of exams so I will be taking a hiatus and would probably come back once my semester is over. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and delay, but I will come back with a new chapter around the third week of June and I'll see you then!

A/N: I’m sorry I couldn’t upload last week, I had a bunch of school work to do and I still do lol. This will be the only chapter for this week, and the next one will be uploaded next week. Enjoy! :)

"Wha- How?!"
"I'll explain everything once you and your prince charming come in." Agatha said, moving out of the doorway to make room.
"It's king." Edmund said,
"I'm sorry?" Agatha raised an eyebrow,
"I'm not a prince. I'm a king." He replied,
Agatha cackled once more, "My apologies... Your highness. But please do come in, I have a lot of explaining to do." She said. Edmund turned his head to look at Y/N, she nods as a go sign and the both of them went inside.
The cottage was dark, the purple wallpaper was worn out and pieces of it were sticking out. Then there was a small table with a purple tablecloth over it and what sat on top was a crystal ball. “So how exactly do you know me?” Y/N asked,
“Well," Agatha grabbed two teacups and poured hot tea, "I had always looked after you ever since you were a young child. I even had to pretend to be a babysitter so I can watch you up close until you were three years old!" She chuckled as she served the tea to Y/N and Edmund.
“Then how come I don’t remember you?” Y/N asked, not accepting the tea,
“Your parents grew suspicious of me so I had to do a little spell to make them forget everything, including you. Now drink up, you two must’ve been exhausted fighting off those mermaids.” Agatha gestured her hand towards the tea, Edmund hesitantly took a sip however Y/N still refused and continued to ask her more questions.
“Why did you do all of that in the first place?” She asked. Agatha sighed and sat down on a purple velvet chair that matched her dress.
“Aslan isn’t the only one who knows all of the prophecies.” She said, she flicked her wrist and a purple light lingered across the room and summoned a book.
“How’d you know about Aslan?” Edmund asked,
“I know every single magical person across the multiverse. Thanks to this book.” Agatha replied and pointed at the book that seemed to glow with orange light. “This…” She paused to open up the book, “Is the Darkhold. It contains every spell, charm, and prophecy beyond every normal witch or wizard’s knowledge.” She explained as she flipped through the pages. “One prophecy stated that a young witch capable of great power will travel across different worlds to take down an evil witch.”
“The White Witch..” Y/N muttered, her eyebrows furrowed and looked back at Agatha, “Great power sounds like it’s over exaggerated.” She said,
“Oh, but it’s not,” Agatha stood up and walked towards Y/N, “You are a nexus being Y/N.”
"What's that?" Y/N asked
"A being capable of seeing and traveling into other realities. Each world has their own nexus being, and if there's two in one world," Agatha scoffed, "Well that's a problem."
"Then who's the nexus being in our world?" Edmund asked,
"Look at you prince charming! Asking the right questions,"
"It's king." Edmund repeated, but Agatha simply rolled her eyes.
"As I was about to explain... Jadis or the White Witch is the nexus being of this world, and the moment she rises again she’ll come back stronger than ever so you must prepare.” Agatha warned,
“But how? I literally don’t know magic or spells! I just know how to move things with my mind and attack without touching a person!” Y/N exclaimed, now realizing how much bigger this prophecy was.
“That’s why I’m here dear!” Agatha said as she tucked a loose hair behind Y/N’s ear, “I’m here to help you hone this great power you’re destined to have.” She smiled, Y/N smiled back now convinced that Agatha seemed to have good intentions. The moment was interrupted by a gust of cold wind that came from the window. Edmund stood up and went to the window as he stuck his hand out, snow fell to his fingertips and his face shriveled in worry.
He looked up at the two ladies and said, “It’s snowing…”
“Wait, I thought it was currently summer?” Y/N questioned, Agatha’s face was now covered in fear.
“She’s almost here.” Agatha said.
Y/N’s eyes widened, Agatha’s statement shook her to the core. The White Witch was coming, and soon enough, she’ll have to face her biggest nightmare.
“We need to go back to the castle and inform everyone.” Edmund said, Y/N stood up and was ready to leave.
“Agatha you should come with us.” She said, Agatha slightly shook her head,
“I can’t. The White Witch must not find out about me.” She answered,
“But I thought you’re supposed to help me? She could be looking for me now and I’m still not prepared!” Y/N’s voice was shaking in fear, she wished this was only a dream, another terrible nightmare.
“I might not be physically with you to help but,” Agatha grabbed a book from the bookshelf and handed it to her, “This grimoire will help you learn everything that you need to learn.” Y/N ran her fingers across the cover and looked back up to Agatha,
“Will I ever see you again?” She asked,
“Only time will tell, now go.” Agatha said. Edmund and Y/N made their way out of the cottage, but before she could leave, Y/N looked back and mouthed ‘thank you’. The two of them ran quickly to find their horses and rode back to the castle as Agatha’s cottage slowly faded away into purple dust.
Once they had arrived at the castle, the two ran to the throne room and saw Susan having a conversation with Mr. and Mrs. Beaver.
“Ed, Y/N, any news about the cottage?” She asked,
“Forget the cottage, it started snowing.” Edmund replied, still panting and trying to catch his breath. Susan stood up, confused with what her brother had said, she looked at Y/N.
“It’s true, she’s coming.” Y/N said. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver gasped, seconds later Mrs. Beaver fainted due to shock and fear. Susan immediately ordered someone to aid Mrs. Beaver, and asked another guard to spread an announcement for the people of Narnia.
“Tell the people to stock up on food and resources, after that, tell them to not get out of their homes until the winter is gone for good.” The guard immediately did Susan’s orders while Lucy eventually caught up with everything that had happened so far.
“We should all rest right now, tomorrow we start preparing.” Susan said and everyone went to their own chambers to get rest.
Later that night, Y/N sat on her bed flipping through the grimoire and practicing spells. While she was reading, a ladybug crawling on the canopy curtain caught her eye. She looked back on the page and then back again at the ladybug that was now staying still. With a twirl of her fingers, blue light swirled around the air as it approached the ladybug. Suddenly, it turned into a red feather, with black spots resembling the ladybug. Y/N let it fall to the ground as she continued to learn more spells.
Time passed by, and Y/N’s eyes felt heavier and heavier. She yawned and read through one more paragraph before she closed the book and wrapped herself up in her blanket and closed her eyes. She then heard a faint voice humming the lullaby that she always sung, a smile formed on her lips knowing who it was and eventually fell into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, deep into the forest, everything was already covered in snow. A mist of cold air danced into the night sky and formed a large castle made of ice. Inside, by the throne made of ice, there stood a woman dressed in white fur and flurries of snow formed into a crown on her head. The white witch was finally back.

It Was Enchanting To Meet You (Edmund Pevensie x Mutant!FemReader)
Chapter V: The Lake
Tumblr media
Summary: Edmund and Y/N are on the way to look for a mysterious cottage. They stopped by a lake where they meet some mermaids. Jealous of Y/N’s presence, they orchestrated a plan that brings one of Y/N’s nightmares to life.
Masterlist
Word count: 1397
Warnings: being underwater and nearly drowning, minor injuries, (let me know if there's anything else I missed!)
A/N: There’s going to be a scene that’s heavily inspired by Tangled and a surprise cameo from a certain marvel witch! (Also I know this was supposed to be uploaded yesterday but I had so many things to do I didn't have the time but here it is!)
Tumblr media
"So where exactly are we going?" Y/N asked as she struggled to walk through tall shrubs in the forest,
"I dunno, Susan mentioned this cottage that magically showed up apparently. The Beavers were the ones who actually saw it, they were frolicking in the woods, saw the cottage and felt something was off because they've never seen it before. Mrs. Beaver said there was a sound of an explosion and purple smoke came out of the chimney." Edmund answered,
"Do you think it's..." Y/N said in a quiet voice, "Her?" implying that it may have been the white witch.
"We won't know until we find out." He answered and they continued to walk through the woods. They had been walking for hours and eventually felt tired. Y/N saw a lake not too far from where they stood and had suggested to take a break and get some water. Once they got to the lake, they sat on the ground to fill up their containers with water. The lake's water was the clearest of blue and it sparkled with the sun's reflection.
"This is actually good, I've never really gone to the great outdoors since forever." Y/N said as she looked up at the sky,
"You've never gone to a lake?" Edmund chuckled in disbelief,
"Only once and it was for a school field trip. After that, I've only just been in the city, and eventually stuck in my professor's mansion." she answered.
Edmund stood up and reached out his hand towards Y/N, "Get up." he said,
"Why?"
"Just get up and come with me." He said. Y/N grabbed his hand and got up, he led him to where the ground and water met. "Now, close your eyes." he said and Y/N shut her eyes closed, nervous with what's about to happen. Suddenly she felt a splash of water hit her face, making her jump in shock.
"Ed!" Y/N yelled and splashed water towards him for revenge. They continued to play in the water until they were soaking wet, they were laughing and having fun until they heard a voice.
"Hello there." A young woman with strawberry blonde hair and rose colored eyes emerged from the waters startling both Edmund and Y/N.
"Whoa... Are you a mermaid?!" Y/N exclaimed,
"As a matter of fact, I am." The mermaid answered as she lifted up her tail that matched the color of her eyes, and a bunch of other mermaids started to emerge as well. The mermaid took a look at Edmund and swam closer to the edge, "You must be King Edmund the just. What brings you here?" she said while batting her eyelashes,
"We're in search of this cottage that apparently showed up in the middle of the woods, perhaps you've seen someone who happens to be the owner of the cottage?" Edmund asked,
"I've never seen such a thing..." the mermaid answered, her eyes moved towards Y/N her expression turning cold, "And who are you?" she asked in a very rude manner which confused Y/N.
"I'm Y/N Y/LN." she answered
"I'm assuming that you're the king's servant?" the mermaid shot back,
"She's not a servant," Edmund answered, "She's actually an important guest that came from a far away land." Suddenly the mermaid's rude expression eerily changed into a charming smile and pointed to her right,
"You must come, your highness, my sister is about to play a very special song with her flute." She said and the music can be heard very clearly despite the source of the sound being very far from where they were. Without hesitation, Edmund followed the sound and when Y/N was about to follow him, other mermaids grabbed onto her leg. She screamed in agony as one of the mermaid's nails pierced through the skin of her leg, thus crimson red blood trailed down to her feet.
"Edmund! Ed!" Y/N yelled, Edmund turned around but the mermaids had already dragged her into the deepest part of the lake. She kept her eyes open, she kept resisting and tried to get back to the surface. It was then she realized she felt a sense of deja vu. This was exactly how one of her nightmares turned out and it immediately ensued more panic.
Edmund jumped into the lake chasing after Y/N who, by luck, got away from the hands of the mermaids. However, one of them aimed a trident towards Y/N. She saw the mermaid throw the trident and her hands glowed dark navy blue and she extended her arms out, directed toward where the mermaids were and a beam of light hit them, pushing them to the bottom of the lake.
With the trident still moving swiftly towards Y/N's direction, she quickly moved away. However, Edmund was in the midst of swimming to Y/N when the pointy ends of the trident cut his hand. Y/N saw this and swam to his direction, grabbed his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders while her arm encircled on his back as they swam to the surface.
They both sat on the ground, panting and still trying to process what had just happened. “Are you alright?” Y/N asked Edmund as she looked at his bleeding hand.
“I should be asking you that question.” Edmund replied,
“I’m all good. It’s just that, I didn’t expect that one of my nightmares are caused by jealous mermaids.” Y/N said making Edmund chuckle.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn't have followed the mermaids.” Edmund says solemnly,
“You really shouldn’t blame yourself, though I think it's a good idea to put a huge sign that says "Warning: Dangerous Mermaids" just for safety .” Y/N replied and Edmund laughed.
She looked over at his hand once again and said, “May I?” Edmund hesitantly moved his hand towards her to which she held. Deep blue light radiated from her hands as the wound healed itself.
“There, you're all healed up!” Y/N smiled while still holding his hand,
“Thank you.” Edmund said as he smiled.
Their faces were just inches away, both looked into each other's eyes and their stomachs filled with butterflies. But their attention gets pulled away as they hear a faint voice of a woman humming a lullaby. The lullaby that Y/N had been humming the other night. “Do you hear that?” Edmund asked,
“Yeah, and I’ve been hearing that voice since the other night.” Y/N stood up and tried to figure out which direction the voice was coming from. “I think it’s coming from the west, it might be from the cottage.”
Edmund got up and said “Let’s go.”
As they continued to head west with Y/N in the lead, the humming became louder and clearer. "I see it!" Y/N exclaimed and they both ran towards a small cottage with purple smoke coming out of its chimney, exactly how the Beavers described it. They stood outside the door, Edmund moving forward and instinctively stood in front of Y/N to shield her. He knocked on the door and it immediately swung open, startling the two. A woman with dark wavy hair, wearing the darkest blue dress with a purple shawl, and a small brooch placed on her chest stood right in front of them while cradling a rabbit in her arms.
"Hiya kids!" She said in the most comical way reminding Y/N of how the women in sitcoms would talk. Edmund and Y/N stood frozen, confused almost, and never said a word. "Well don't keep me waiting! Get in here!" The woman motioned with her arm to let the two inside but there was no movement. "Oh of course where are my manners!" The woman cackled and cleared her throat, "The name's Agatha Harkness, lovely to finally meet you guys." She smiled as she petted her rabbit, her eyes darted at Y/N making Edmund stretch out his arm to shield her.
"You finally found me." Agatha said directly to Y/N, "I've been trying to communicate with you for the past few days, my throat's been sore from all the humming!" She chuckled.
"How did you know that lullaby?" Y/N asked,
"Why dear, I was the one who sang it to you when you were little!" She said confidently.

Chapter IV: Bows and Chess
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N joins Edmund as he practices fencing and shooting with a bow and arrow. It all ends with a game of chess, and old lullabies

Word Count: 1490
Warnings: A tiny bit of angst, but it's just all fluff
A/N: Next chapter will be out tomorrow!
Tumblr media
It was the next day, Peter had already set on a journey to gather more troops before the sun had risen. Susan left early morning as she had gotten a last minute invitation for a meeting with the neighboring kingdom about trading goods. That left Edmund, Lucy and Y/N at the castle. As Y/N stared at the ceiling of her chamber as she lay on her canopy bed, an idea popped up in her head and she immediately got up and ran through the hallways in search of Lucy.
She passed by the library whose door was ajar, however she walked back and noticed Lucy was in there. Y/N knocked and heard Lucy say “Come in!” and so she did. She cleared her throat and dusted off her skirt,
“Hey Lucy, you wanna go to the fields and just hang around?” Y/N asked,
“Oh, I’m so sorry Y/N... There’s been some mishap in the village bakery and I thought I should go there and help out.” Lucy said as she packed up her bag, “But you can join Edmund, he’s actually practicing fencing right now.” Y/N blushed the moment she had heard his name and Lucy noticed but she didn’t bother teasing her as she was running late for her errands,
“Anyways, have fun! I’ll see you at supper!” Lucy waved goodbye and left. Y/N walked around the library and looked through the window. She could see Edmund fencing with a centaur. Her lips formed a smile at the sight of him. Eventually, she got up and took a deep breath as she decided to walk down there and join the young king.
Once she had made it to the small hill where they were fencing, Edmund looked over to wave at her and she waved back, he couldn't stop looking at her giving the centaur more advantage. With a flick of the sword Edmund lost his balance and fell off his horse. "It seems like we finally found out the king's weakness." the horse spoke and the centaur laughed.
Y/N ran towards Edmund and helped him get up, "I'm sorry for bothering you, I'll just go back inside-"
"No, it's alright you can stay." Edmund reassured her,
"Perhaps you can join the king to practice archery." The centaur suggested,
"That sounds fun, but I don't really know how to use one..." Y/N said as she laughed nervously,
"You'll be fine, Oreius and I will teach you!" Edmund said encouragingly,
"Actually sire, I have some other errands to attend. It'll only just be the two of you." The centaur replied with a smirk, Edmund didn't quite catch on to his scheme and shrugged it off.
"Very well then, take Philip with you and I'll take Y/N to the shooting range." Edmund said. They parted ways as Edmund and Y/N headed to the shooting range carrying the bags that contained two bows and a bunch of arrows. Once handed a bow, Y/N grabbed an arrow and tried to aim at a target
“I don’t really get the hang of this...” Y/N said as she struggled to get a grip on the bow,
“Here, let me help.” Edmund said as he stood behind Y/N and placed his hands over hers to guide her. “Now you just aim it at the target,” his breath hit the back of Y/N’s neck bringing chills down her spine. “Then let go.” Y/N let go of the string as he instructed as her eyes followed the arrow until it hit the target right in the center.
Y/N looked back at Edmund who was still at close proximity, their faces inches away. He couldn’t help but smile at her joyful grin, and it was that moment where he had fully seen Y/N’s face and realized how incredibly beautiful she was. After a long moment of them staring at each other, both secretly admiring each other's faces, they looked away and laughed it off as they spent a few hours conversing as they practiced archery.
- - - -
Once the sun was about to set, Edmund and Y/N packed up their stuff and stayed for a bit to enjoy the sunset. "It's pretty to look at from this view doesn't it?" Y/N said looking at the horizon that was in shades of orange, yellow, purple and blue.
Edmund turned his head to look at her, "It is." he replied with a small smile.
It was already dark when they were heading back into the castle when Y/N said, “Lucy mentioned you have a gold chess set.”
"I do but I only play it with those who are at the same level as me." Edmund replied with a smirk, "If you prove yourself to be a good chess player, I might consider taking it out of its display case and play a game with you." he said in a very challenging but joking manner.
"Oh no thank you," Y/N chuckled, "I suck at chess."
"Have you ever played it before?" he asked,
"I have, with my professor. He always wins and he tells me that I'm just not trying hard enough." she replied, her smile fading with the thought of a worried professor X.
"Well, he seems like he's very encouraging..."
"He is. He's become my parental figure ever since my parents left me." Y/N sighed,
"You were an orphan?" Edmund asked carefully trying not to be invasive,
"Not necessarily... Well I mean I guess. When I got my powers, they acted like I'm some kind of monster," Y/N said with a crestfallen look, "They heard about Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters and told me that I'd be attending the school. When I tried visiting them one weekend, the house was empty and the neighbors told me that they had moved away without leaving a word." She wiped a single tear on the corner of her eye and suppressed any lingering sadness that might burst out any minute.
"I'm very sorry to hear that Y/N. I don't think any words will express how deeply sorry I feel." Edmund said as he looked at Y/N with a sympathetic expression though his gut feeling is telling him to give her a huge comforting hug, or anything that will take her sadness away.
"It's alright, I'm over it." Y/N said trying to make light of the situation, "Anyways, you still up for a game of chess?" She asked,
"Of course." Edmund answered.
They dropped off the bows and arrows in the weapon room and headed to the library. Edmund brought out a wooden chess set and they started playing right away. They enjoyed each other's company as they talked for hours on end, almost forgetting that they were playing a game. The door creaked, catching their attention, they turned their heads and saw Lucy who had come back from her errands.
"You two seem like you're having lots of fun!" She said as she approached the two,
"So far she's winning." Edmund said,
"That's because you're not even trying! You're just letting me win!" Y/N replied.
Eventually a castle staff entered the library and had informed them that supper was ready. They headed to the dining room as they ate good food and talked some more. They had chocolate pudding for dessert and they all enjoyed it. After the whole meal, tiredness got the best of them and they all called it a night. Y/N sat in front of her vanity table humming a lullaby from her childhood as she brushed her hair.
She continued humming until she heard a different voice humming the same tune, she stopped and put down her brush and looked around to see if there was anything suspicious. She concluded that maybe it was just here and stood up from the vanity to make her way to her bed until there came a knock on the door. Scared that it might be the same woman humming with her, she hesitantly turned the knob and opened the door. To her surprise it was actually Edmund. "Edmund! Hey.” She said, sighing in relief.
“Are you alright?” Edmund asked worryingly seeing the way she reacted,
“Yeah, I’m totally fine… Anyways, what brings you here?” She asked,
“Oh, I uh… I just wanted to check up on you.” His face turned red as he spoke.
“Oh. Well-uh. Thanks… for that.” Y/N awkwardly said, her face turning red as well,
“Very well then. Have a goodnight!” Edmund said,
“Goodnight.” Y/N replied with a smile. The young man scurried off to the hallways making Y/N chuckle as she closed the door. The slight terror she felt earlier was now washed away all thanks to Edmund. She climbed up to her bed and wrapped herself in her blanket as she drifted off to a peaceful sleep.

Chapter III: Prophecy
Tumblr media
Summary: Peter explains the prophecy. Y/N and Edmund start to get to know each other more.
Masterlist
Word Count: 1644
Warnings: Mentions of possible war, Creepy suitors
A/N: Due to amount of school work that I have, this might be the only chapter I upload this week. But I will try to upload two chapters next week, I'm really sorry luvs.
Tumblr media
“Who?” Susan asked,
“I think you’re quite mistaken dear, I’m no professor.” Mr. Tumnus said,
Embarrassed by her little outburst, Y/N said, “I’m sorry, it’s just you have an uncanny resemblance to my professor in my world.”
“Your world?” Mr. Tumnus raised an eyebrow,
“It’s a long story, but we think she may be the young witch of the prophecy.” Peter said and Mr. Tumnus’ kind mellow face instantly changed into a surprised one.
“You must all come in, we shall talk about this over tea.” Mr. Tumnus said and let the five of them inside. They all sat down on the small dining table as Mr. Tumnus went by his stove to heat up the kettle. “Oh no, I believe I've run out of firewood” he said.
Y/N turned around and said, “Ooh I got it!” and with a flick of her fingers, the kettle starts to make a loud noise as the water boiled at its highest temperature. She turns back to the rest of them as they look at her with pure amazement.
"Where have you been all our lives?!" Lucy exclaimed and the place was filled with laughter. After preparing the tea, Mr. Tumnus sets the teapot on the table along with sugar cubes and milk, as well as an array of biscuits and turkish delights. Edmund got a hold of the plate of turkish delights and immediately started munching on it as Peter took out a huge scroll of paper from his satchel.
“Do you just carry that around with you?” Y/N asked,
“He actually does.” Edmund replied as he continued to eat turkish delights, Peter smacks his hand making the small piece of turkish delight fall off of his fingers down to the floor. "Hey!" Edmund yelled,
"Will you stop eating, I'm about to tell you the prophecy!" Peter commanded,
"Well I'm not the one with powers am i?" Edmund replied, earning him another smack but on the back of his head and the other girls giggled and Mr. Tumnus let out a light hearted laugh.
Peter cleared his throat and started to read what was on the scroll,
“A young witch shall emerge from the forest of Narnia then followed by the rise of the white witch with her endless winter once again. But the young witch shall put a forebear to the bitter cold weather and bring the white witch’s demise.”
"That's it?" Y/N asked and Peter nodded,
"Were you expecting more?" Susan asked,
"I mean the paper was so huge, I assumed there'd be a lot of writing on it..." Y/N said,
"Peter probably wrote down huge letters when Aslan told him to write down the prophecy." Edmund teased and right when Peter was about to give him a third smack, he immediately dodged it which ended up in a silly tickle fight. "Hey stop that!" Edmund yelled, his voice at a higher octave. Y/N chuckles, catching Edmund's attention, he clears his throat and repeats what he had just said but in a more lower tone, "Stop it, I said." Peter eventually gave up and they all sat down to talk about the prophecy.
"We don't know when, but the White Witch will surely come back now that Y/N's here." Peter said,
"Then what should I do?" Y/N asked,
"For now, you should stay at the castle. I will gather more people for an army in case it gets bloody." Peter replied and everyone's mood turned gloomy with the mention of the words army and bloody. It had been years since their last battle and they were successful, however they cannot deny how scary it was to go to war at such a young age.
"You don't really have to gather an army. This fight is between Y/N and the Jadis just like you said, the others shouldn't be involved besides us." Susan said,
"I know that, but I'm just taking extra precautions." Peter replied,
"Taking extra precautions or are you underestimating Y/N's capability of defeating Jadis?" Susan snapped and the air in the room felt uneasy. Peter did not reply but only stared at his sister and she looked back with a stone cold glare.
"Now, now, let's not argue. Let's just put out a vote shall we?" Mr. Tumnus suggested,
"I agree with Susan, I don't want to risk the lives of Narnians and I really do think Y/N can defeat Jadis..." Lucy said.
Everyone's eyes fell on Edmund, waiting for him to respond. "What? Oh. Well... A-as much as I think that Y/N can take down the White Witch, I just think we should gather more troops. As back up." Edmund said.
Susan rolled her eyes and looked at Y/N, "What do you think Y/N?"
Y/N didn't exactly know how to respond. She had only been in Narnia for a few hours, she may have seen a good portion of the whole kingdom, however she doesn't exactly know what was really going on. "Look, I'm fairly new to this thing and I'm not really sure how it's gonna go..." She looked at Susan with worried eyes and she understood where she was going. Though disappointed, Susan simply nodded, "I think it's better if King Peter gathered more troops." Y/N said.
"Then it's settled, I'll be leaving by sunset." Peter said,
"Right away?" Lucy asked,
"We don't really know when the White Witch will come back, and it's better to be prepared before it's too late," Peter stood up, "Thank you for the wonderful tea Mr. Tumnus, but we must head back to the castle now." Peter said.
"No worries, I'm always here if you need any help." Mr. Tumnus said, then he turned to Y/N and gave a nod as if that last bit was meant for her. Y/N smiled and nodded as well, eventually the five of them left Mr. Tumnus' cave and arrived at the castle.
– – – –
Back at the castle, Susan and Lucy were bombarded with letters from suitors. With the help of Y/N, they sat in the library writing several replies most of which are rejections. One letter was for Susan, it was from a King from a kingdom that was quite awfully far from Narnia. The letter was very poetic, Susan thought, until she realized the King was almost forty years older than her. At one point the letter got a little too inappropriate and the girls decided it wasn't even worth replying to a rejection to. Susan asked one of the maids to burn it and make sure that the King who wrote it would never send a letter again.
Eventually, Y/N grew tired of writing. "Thank you for your help, but I think Lucy and I can finish up this last one and you can go ahead and rest." Susan smiled and Y/N put the letter on top of the towering stack of letters and walked out of the library. She walked through the hallways and decided to wander around until she saw an open balcony. She went out only to be startled by Edmund who had been standing on the edge of the balcony.
"I'm sorry, I'll just go back." Y/N said making her way out,
"Wait! You can stay..." Edmund said, making Y/N awkwardly turn around and stand next to him. "So how are you liking Narnia so far?" He asked.
"It's great! The place is great, your people are great, and the way you guys rule the kingdom seems far more better than what I've seen in my world. I mean, I could actually see myself living here." Y/N replied,
"Really?" Edmund's eyes sparkled at the thought of having Y/N in Narnia for the rest of eternity, Y/N hummed in agreement. There was a moment of comfortable silence until Edmund spoke up again, "You seem to be having a lot of fun with my sisters."
"They're very lovely." Y/N replied,
"What about Peter? I suppose you think he’s the most charming king.” Edmund said in a mocking tone,
"Actually it’s quite the opposite. The first time I met him he questioned where my allegiance lies," Y/N chuckled then looked around, "He's pretty intimidating." She whispered.
"Well he does try to act intimidating but deep down inside he’s a little softy," Edmund said, "But don't tell him I said that." He said mimicking the way Y/N whispered earlier making her giggle.
“Well what about you, your highness? What’s there to know about you? Besides your love of turkish delights.” Y/N teased,
"Well, I'm actually a great swordsman if I do say so myself." Edmund said proudly,
"Ah, I also have some experience with fencing. I took classes and even briefly joined a team." Y/N said,
"Then you'll have to show me your skills sometime." Edmund replied,
"Is that an invitation for a duel?" Y/N playfully raised an eyebrow,
"Perhaps." Edmund smirked and they both laughed. However, the laughter was short lived when Peter made his presence known by loudly clearing up his throat. They both turned around to see him with both arms folded.
"Edmund, I need your help with something. Will you come with me to the weapon room?" Peter said and Edmund nodded. Before he could leave he turned to look at Y/N,
"You're still up for that duel?" He asked with a smile,
"Of course your highness, just let me know when." Y/N answered smiling back.
"You do know you can just call me Edmund, or Ed." Edmund said,
"Come on Ed!" Peter said dragging Edmund away before Y/N could even reply to him.
"Right..." Y/N said, "Edmund." She smiled to herself as the sound of his name gave her butterflies in her stomach.

Deep in the forest of Narnia, a few young centaurs were galloping around and passing time. One of them stumbled upon an unconscious Y/N who laid by a tree. They then reported to the guards of Cair Paravel about the unconscious daughter of Eve.
Rumors immediately spread and everyone jumped into conclusions as to who she is and why she had suddenly appeared in the forest. The guards did not hesitate and immediately informed the four royals of Cair Paravel.
“The time has come...” The high king Peter said and the guards looked at each other confused.
Another guard came rushing into the room panting, “The human has awakened.”
“Then let’s go get her.” Peter said as he grabbed his sword and went out to the forest on his horse with the other guards leading the way. Once they arrived, Y/N sat there with her hands tied.
“You tied her up?!” Peter asked the guards.
“I-I wasn’t sure if she was an enemy sire.” The guard answered guiltily,
“Hey, uh...” Y/N spoke and all eyes turned to her, “I just wanted to say... I’m no enemy.” she said.
“How can we be sure of that?” Peter questioned,
“Well first, I have no idea where I’m at. And second, I just want to know where the old lady with the ice powers is so I can maybe ask her to stop haunting my dreams or something...” Y/N answered,
“Wait, you know about the white witch?”
“Not exactly. I just saw a vision and she mentioned something called Narnia, so I used my powers and now I’m here.” Y/N shot a tight lipped smile and the guards looked at her like she was insane.
“What’s your name again?” The king asked,
“It’s Y/N... Y/N Y/L/N.” She answered.
“Welcome to Narnia Y/N, I’m the high king, Peter.” He said as he helped her up and freed her from the constraint.
“Oh geez, thanks. Your guards tied it way too tight I thought I was gonna lose circulation.” Y/N said jokingly,
“My apologies ma’am.” The guard apologized with a shameful look on his face,
“Oh no it’s fine, I mean I get why you did it, it’s no sweat.” The guards looked at each other, bewildered by how the woman spoke.
“Why don’t we go to the castle and introduce you to my siblings. I believe you are someone of importance to Narnia and I will explain everything once we get there.” Peter said as he hopped on his horse and reached his hand out to Y/N to which she awkwardly grabbed and hopped on the horse as well.
Upon arriving at the castle, two women and another young man dressed in the finest of silks approached the incoming king and their new guest.
“Is that her?!” The younger girl exclaimed, very giddy to meet the guest.
“Everyone meet Y/N Y/L/N.” Peter said,
Y/N did a curtsy and said “Good day your highness...ses.” The awkward pause made the young man with dark hair chuckle catching Y/N’s attention but soon enough the younger girl approached her and greeted her with a big smile.
“I’ve been so excited to meet you! By the way I’m Lucy.” Y/N shook her hand
“Pleasure to meet you, your highness.” She said,
“Oh you don’t have to call me that, you can just call me Lucy!” Lucy said with a bright smile that Y/N mirrored. Another girl approached and introduced herself as Susan,
“It’s great to have another girl around here, we’ve finally outnumbered the men.” Susan teased,
“Hey I heard that!” The young man with dark hair said as he walked towards the group of girls who were already giggling.
“This is our brother, Edmund.” Susan said, Y/N looked at him and she froze. Even though she’s seen an abundance of magical creatures such as centaurs, pixies, and talking animals so far, the man that stood right before her was the most enchanting person she had ever laid her eyes on.
“Pleasure to meet you Y/N.” Edmund reached out for her hand and kissed it, Y/N’s face turned bright red and the two girls had a shocked expression plastered onto their faces. When his eyes met Y/N’s, he felt the same heart fluttering jolt that she did the moment she smiled at him.
“Edmund!” Lucy yelled out his name which made him snap out of trance, making the girls giggle once more. “Peter’s calling for you.” Lucy reminded him,
“Ugh what does he want now...” Edmund groaned and walked to where his brother stood.
Peter's smug expression caused Edmund to roll his eyes, "Pleasure to meet you Y/N" Peter mocked Edmund's line from earlier, earning him a punch in the gut.
"Shut up." Edmund says as he continued walking,
"Wrong way Ed!" Peter yelled, the three ladies giggled as Edmund scurried to Peter's side as they disappeared into a hallway.
“Y/N come with us, we’ll show you to your chamber and get you a change of clothes.” Susan interlocked her arm with Y/N's as they led her to a chamber complete with a huge canopy bed, large balcony, as well as a tall bookshelf.
"We have so many spare bedrooms, we're glad someone's going to occupy them now." Lucy said cheerfully. But the way she had said it made Y/N think about how long her stay will be in this magical world of Narnia. At some point she would have to go back to her own world because that's where her family and friends are. However, she set those thoughts aside and decided to go along with the present.
After changing into a deep maroon dress, Y/N went to the throne room where the other ladies had been waiting. "You look incredible Y/N!" Lucy exclaimed as the two sisters looked in awe at their newly found friend.
"Well thank you, for lending me this amazing dress," Y/N said as she tidied up the lower part of her dress,
"Of course Y/N, whatever you need, we're here to help out." Susan replied.
"Is everyone ready?" Peter appeared with Edmund beside him,
"Ready for what?" Lucy asked,
"To show our guest around Cair Paravel of course!" Peter said
– – – –
The five of them hopped onto a horse-drawn carriage that was also escorted by several guards. They went around the kingdom, the kings and queens greeted their subjects and they cheered them on. They've stopped by shops and had several conversations with shopkeepers. The four siblings are the most humble and most closest to their own subjects Y/N thought, and it was very heartwarming for her to see.
Y/N was completely mesmerized by the whole kingdom, it's as if the fairy tales she had read as a child had finally came true and she was there to witness it all. Edmund on the other hand was completely mesmerized by her. Peter secretly kept teasing his younger brother for staring at the girl for way too long that which the other sisters had noticed as well except for the oblivious Y/N.
Later on their trip, Lucy had requested to stop by Mr. Tumnus' cave and everyone agreed. Once they had arrived, Lucy hopped off of the carriage immediately and knocked on the faun's door. The rest stood behind Lucy and the door opened, revealing the faun whom Lucy had been telling stories about to Y/N.
Y/N's eyes widened as she exclaimed, "Professor X?!"

It Was Enchanting To Meet You (Edmund Pevensie x Mutant!FemReader) Masterlist *on hiatus*
Tumblr media
It was 1975, Y/N is a student at Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters. She keeps seeing visions of an alternate reality, and is determined to find out the cause of these visions. Eventually she learns how to jump into different alternate universes and she accidentally ends up in a world full of magical beings, ruled by two kings and two queens. Believed to be part of a prophecy, Y/N must use her powers and save the magical world of Narnia alongside the Pevensies.
A/N: This was sort of an experiment where I basically mash the worlds of X-Men and Narnia together. The idea sparked when I was watching Days of Future Past and then Prince Caspian, and the fact that James McAvoy was a part of both franchises lol.

It Was Enchanting To Meet You (Edmund Pevensie x Mutant!FemReader)
Chapter I: Nightmare
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N has been having the same kind of nightmares for the past six years. She's been told to ignore it and that they're finding a solution for it, but when she starts hearing voices, she's even more determined to find out what's causing these unusual events.
Masterlist
Word Count: 1313
Warnings: nightmares, depiction of violence
A/N: Most of the story takes place during the Golden Age of Narnia however it'll be years since their coronation so the ages of the Pevensie siblings in this story are as follows: Peter (21), Susan (20), Edmund (18), Lucy (16). However in Y/N's world the year is 1975, almost in between Days of Future Past and Apocalypse movies.
Tumblr media
It was a gloomy winter day. Y/N stood right across a throne made of ice. She took a deep breath and let it out, her foggy breath being visible in the cold temperature. It was quiet... Until a wolf jumped out of nowhere and tackled Y/N as she struggled to get out of the vicious creature's grip.
Y/N gasped as she opened her eyes realizing it was only a dream. However it had been the same dream for years, first of which happened the same day she had gotten her powers at the ripe age of twelve. She looked over at her clock, it was 5:30 in the morning and the sun had barely risen.
She walks through the long halls of the school, nothing in her mind but the recurring nightmares. Y/N then stood in front of a painting of the forest, deep greens and browns that felt like a deja vu to her. Suddenly she started hearing faint voices. "Y/N!" It was the voice of an unfamiliar girl calling out her name. "Y/N! HELP ME!" the voice was now loud and clear. "Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!" the voice kept yelling which made her cover her ears and her face shrivel up.
"Y/N?" Professor X called the young student. Y/N looked up
"Good morning professor!" She said as she awkwardly straightened up her posture.
"What are you doing out here early in the morning?" He asked,
"Oh you know," Y/N awkwardly chuckled and started stretching, "Just getting a head start with the day and workin' out."
"Was it the nightmares again." It almost didn't sound like a question, the professor already had an idea what was going on. She shook her head but the professor sighed and approached her.
"I know it's hard, but trust me Y/N we are trying to figure out how to get rid of your nightmares. I know you're strong... Just a little bit patience." Professor X said with a comforting smile but Y/N couldn't help but think about the sleepless nights, and the nightmares of her continuously being attacked by wolves or drowning in a lake.
She lets out a fake smile and nods, "I should go now, my friends might be waiting for me." She said,
"Of course, you wouldn't want to miss breakfast."
Later that afternoon, everyone was out in the yard spending their free time. Y/N sat with Jubilee and a bunch of other teenage mutants. They were all playing uno and Jubilee was having a heated argument with Jean about the game. "That's not fair, you can read everyone's minds! " Jubilee yelled,
"I wasn't even doing it!" Jean exclaimed.
Y/N stared blankly at the cards that were thrown in the middle of the circle, not completely focusing on what was happening. "Hey, Y/N?" Jubilee called and Y/N snapped her head to look at her friend, "You good?" she asked,
"Yeah... I just-"
"Didn't get enough sleep, I know. You should probably take a nap, your dark circles are getting real worse." Everyone in the circle agreed, including Y/N,
"You want me to walk you to your room?" Jean asked,
"No it's okay." Y/N smiled and waved goodbye to her friends as she went back into the school.
As she was on her way upstairs, she noticed that Professor X's door was open. She debated about it but decided taking a peek wouldn't hurt. In the office, there was Dr. McCoy and Raven. They had worried expressions on their faces which had Y/N intrigued so she used her powers to get a better hearing of what they were talking about.
"I've tried looking for other solutions, meditation, pills, not even therapy would work..." McCoy said,
"She can't just live with those nightmares forever, it's gonna take a toll on her!" Raven exclaimed, "What have you told her Charles?" She asked, and the professor sighed.
"I told her that we're still looking for a better solution." He answered.
"I don't think there is... And she needs to know." McCoy said,
"No! I've seen her breakdown, these nightmares aren't just regular nightmares, she feels it. You can't just tell her that she's going to suffer for the rest of her life!" Charles exclaimed. Y/N covered her mouth in shock. She took a step back which made a creaking noise.
Raven turned around to look at the door, "Who's there?"
Y/N rushed upstairs to her bedroom and hid in her blanket. Tears kept flowing which made her pillow soaking wet. Then, she started hearing a voice again. This time it was an older woman. "Do you think your silly little powers are a match for me?" the woman cackled, Y/N got up and tried to cover her ears again. "You are weak!" the woman shrieked and a jolt of pain hit Y/N's chest, she clutched it with both of her hands and screamed in agony.
Tears fell down to her chin as she continued to feel the pain, she closed her eyes and saw the icy throne once more. This time, a woman dressed in white was surrounded by a pack of wolves. Y/N opened her eyes and looked at the mirror that she had broken with her tumultuous scream. The irises of her eyes had turned from Y/E/C into the palest of blue.
Startled by the change of eye color, she closed her eyes and shook her head. Upon opening her eyes she heard the loud horns coming from multiple cars. She turned to see a bunch of cars in traffic in New York City, but it wasn't the cars she was used to seeing. It seemed to be a car that was popular during the 1920s, Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. One moment she was standing in front of her mirror in her room, and now she's outside in New York in the 1920s. Y/N assumed she was dreaming until a man bumped into her.
"Hey watch it!" The man said aggressively,
"What year is it?" Y/N asked.
The man looked at her from top to bottom. To him, she was wearing the most unusual clothes. "It's 1923." He answered and Y/N's eyes widened. The man didn't say anything else and rushed to where he was going.
"What the hell?" Y/N rushed to the nearest newspaper stand to check the date and the man was indeed correct. It was June 6th, 1923. Y/N walked back to where she stood unsure of what she was about to do.
"Okay, I've got this... I think." Y/N closed her eyes once more, now focusing on the energy of her powers. Her hands formed orbs of energy in the color of deep blue and in a matter of seconds she was back at the X mansion from where she last stood.
The voice of the old woman came back, "Narnia is mine to rule!" she yelled and an idea sparked in Y/N's mind. However, before she could even do what she was planning there was a knock at her door.
"Y/N, we need to talk to you." It was professor X. Y/N ignored him and continued with her plan.
She closed her eyes and focused on the energy within her. Soon enough, a sphere that glowed deep blue formed between her hands, she opened her eyes and slowly grinned. The sphere grew wider, and wider but the door opens revealing professor X. "Y/N STOP!" He exclaimed. Raven rushed into the room but before she could even reach the young student, she had already vanished.
"Where do you think she went?" McCoy asked,
"I don't know, but we need to start figuring it out now." professor X said with a worried tone.
