learning a new language after getting to a comfortable place in another is so difficult.. like what do you mean i have to learn a whole new set of grammar and also ever single word ever

#ME this is why i struggle with marathi #what do you MEAN its not slavic and the word order is very different from what i'm used to....... #its ok i still love it :) i took a break from russian years ago after all so evidence shows i'll get there eventually!

Added marathi to my learning on polygloss... i know how to say "this is" in like maybe 2 genders so i'm not going to be stellar at it, but . . . wanna learn marathi 🫣

Somehow, my (completely normal) textbook is still looking like my best option ... it's a lot to commit to again, though, so who knows. At least I don't have to give anything my phone number w/ a textbook :5

TL;DR: We're looking for English-speaking neopronoun users (aged 18+) to participate in a paid linguistics study.

Hello!

Professor Kirby Conrod from Swarthmore College is recruiting participants for a paid interview study (in-person in Philly or on zoom). Anyone who uses neopronouns for themself, is 18 or older, and is fluent in English is welcome to participate. The study will consist of a casual interview between you and a researcher, a similar interview with a friend of yours, and an exit survey for each of you. Each will receive $15 as compensation for their time.

well, it would seem i can no longer use memrise since i clicked one (1) button in the app & now it won't let me see community courses at all, anywhere*. Only a debatable loss overall, but still, annoying...

*i refuse to use the computer on principle. That can't come with me when its time for language other places

So, since i've been re-coding tadora, i've acquired . . . Some choice screenshots. But first, an example of *why* i've been doing this in the first place:

really, though, progress is going well! I have one game left to add back in, and then exporting will need to be re-done... technically after that she'll be ready for release, but there's still one more thing i'd like to do before then. Not sure how long it'll take seeing as it's been about a month since i started, but time will tell :-) and then you can see all the cool new things i've added as well!

Actually duolingo news is the perfect time to introduce u all to tadora except 1) i am In The Middle of a code overhaul that involves lesson code somewhat and 2) she does not technically have any courses yet (sad) (i am working on an adaptation of a dead website)
