I know she was once a garden bed of hope, and wonder, if the cut flowers in the rooms are more a memory in mourning for every lost dream

I laid awake in the waning dusk and said my name out loud. and each time it was a threat

September begs me to crawl into the ground of my own shame, take a knife to my pumpkin face and carve a smile on

this is your body, this is your blood, no it will not be broken for anyone.

remind yourself that skin is it’s whole organ: press each holy key and hear it sing
