Yes! The fundamental lack of trust in their relationship... Her comment about both of them not getting answers immediately reminded me of 4x14 when Taylor came to the hospital to check on Buck and he thought she was there for a story. If you can't trust your significant other during one of the hardest, most traumatic moments of your life, when can you trust them? At this point, they're more pantomiming a relationship than actually being active participants in one...
Ooh.
"This isn't your childhood trauma, Buck" is very much so giving "Why? You're fine. You're not going to pass out or anything, right? Your heart rate's not going up?"
Something about these women getting snappy and dismissively personal when they're in their feelings. Ana, I can understand a little more, given that she was hurting and wanted to hurt Eddie, but Taylor... Maybe it was Megan's delivery, but I feel like using childhood trauma as a ten-foot pole (at best, a weapon at worst) to keep a childhood trauma survivor - your boyfriend, btw, who's just trying to be there for you - away is probably not the kindest most "loving" way to respond to a genuine effort of support...?

Thank you thank you thank you for articulating everything that I am feeling in this episode. Like, MW is really the hill that this show wants to die on??? That acting is making this 10 times more difficult to sit through and it's cringey bad. I'd actually be fine with bringing Ali back if they need to maintain this hetero lie, she actually had chemistry with Oliver instead of Ms White and Dry.
Ali, yes! I was actually surprised when Hen mentioned her in this episode because it seemed like once she was gone everyone just forgot about her? lol.
But yeah, honestly, I feel like when they're just hanging out on set, Megan and Oliver probably have a fun time together, but absolutely none of that chemistry translates onscreen. Which is a shame because I'd at least like to try to enjoy this lame ass couple if I could believe both halves of it lol

Oliver, Aisha, Ryan, Peter, JLH, Kenneth, Angela -- all exceptional, believable actors who have such an instinct for their craft and an understanding of their characters..... and then you have MW, who, including tonight's episode, has only had one episode where I actually thought she did pretty okay.
Aside from being skinny, white, and pretty, how did she get hired again?
(And before anyone comes for me: if any of the mains were shitty actors, I'd be roasting them too. This isn't about a ship, it's about how well she creates an immersive viewing experience between herself and the viewer, and she's just... really not good at it. Sorry not sorry.)
Absolutely blows my mind that MW is on the same show as Angela Bassett. ANGELA BASSETT! Someone explain to me HOW.

If Buck is going to end up with a lady, it should be a better one than Taylor. (he did look really cute being a good boyfriend btw).
OKAY, but this.
Let's get real for a minute: I love Buck and Eddie. I love their dynamic, I love the family they've created, I think we are currently in the middle of watching one of the greatest queer love stories on TV unfold, and I think it would be grave mistake in SO many ways for FOX to pass up on this opportunity.
Having said that, if - IF - Buck absolutely had to be paired with a woman, Taylor is the worst choice. It's not just that she's played by a mediocre actress who consistently fails to actively engage the viewer in her portrayal, it's the fact that Buck and Taylor simply do not get each other on a fundamental level. They are two people occupying the same "relationship" (such as it is) with two completely different goals, plans for their lives, and ideas as to what it means to be a good "partner." For Buck, being a good partner means action, for Taylor, on the completely opposite side of the spectrum, it means independence with the option for reliance. Neither of their ideas are wrong, but the fact that they're coming into the same relationship with these contradictory ideals does not a happy, long lasting relationship make.
If Buck had to be paired with a woman for his endgame, I'd literally rather 9-1-1 introduce an entire other female character to their already overcrowded show and take the time developing her both as an individual and a girlfriend than watch them continue to try to make Buck and Taylor fit into this pretty little relationship mold that they're not built for. Now, believe it or not, I do actually have a lot of trust in the 9-1-1 writers because, as I've said before, they've demonstrated that they still know their characters so well after five years, so I have to believe they're not willing to torpedo Buck's character development for the sake of a bland, white bread, dime a dozen ship, but I guess we'll wait and see what happens next.
Either way, Buddie or no, I'm so aggressively against BT at this point you could give me a foam finger that says "#1 Anti." And yes, you're right, he makes a very good, very sweet boyfriend. Wish he was with someone who appreciated that :)

You guys realize that BT just got the Bobby Kiss of Death, right?
Like, ilysm Bobby, but literally EVERYTIME he gives out relationship advice, that relationship is promptly toast, right?
Buck and Abby. Eddie and Shannon. Eddie and Ana.
I'm actually pretty sure that he gave Chimney advice about Tatiana as well, but I don't want to go back and look because I despise her.
There is an established pattern here.

ah yes because in the ticking time bomb episode where buck does all the same shit he did in his past relationships with his new girlfriend who he has yet to have a cute scene with (until arguably now) absolutely means they’re endgame. okay 💀
y’all. come on.

Okay I'm calm now and I don't mean to keep bitching about Taylor but there's something so... wrong-feeling about the fact that she had to be at a point of emotional breakdown in order to reach out to Buck for comfort (a hug, btw, which is something she could easily get from a friend, coworker, or stranger for that matter), when Buck, who is usually the first to put his heart on the line, the first to seek comfort or guidance from someone, has been the one choking down his feelings all season..... idk I'm not explaining this right but there's something there... something about Buck of all people being this pillar of strength for the people who are most important to him (Taylor in 5x09, Eddie in 5x08) but no one really doing the same for him..... Where are all his feelings going...?

Maybe Buck just fundamentally doesn't know what falling in love/being in love is like.
And he thinks this is it when it's fucking clearly not.
