How to satisfy your customer need
1- Understand Your Customer’s needs-
According to the recent online sales statistics, 96% of consumers across the globe say that consumer service is a vital factor in their choice of brand loyalty.
2-Listen to their Feedbacks-
Part of understanding your customers is listening to them. Listen to what they have to say – whether it is positive or negative. Your customers’ feedbacks have a wealth of information to offer, which will help you improve their customer experience.
3- Be Consistent in Communicating with Your Customers-
Being inconsistent is at the top of the things that frustrate customers.
If your representatives cannot be consistent and often gives conflicting information, it will make your consumers feel confused and alienated.
4- Be Honest and Empathetic in Customer Interaction-
Customer interaction is just the same as other relationships.
You must be honest and empathetic if you want it to last. If you want to earn your customers’ trust, you must be transparent right from the start. It means letting them know exactly what to expect.
5- Make it Easy for Them to Complain
Meeting your customers’ needs and fostering loyalty also includes making it easy for your customers to complain. Just like wanting to hear their feedback, their complaints are a fantastic way for you to learn about your failings.

What is Event Sustainability Management?
Event sustainability is a principle, with three important aspects: environmental protection, social growth, and economic progress.
ISO 20121 is an international standard, which specifies the practices that organizations in the events industry need to have in place to improve the sustainability of their services, products, and/or general activities. The standard guides organizations of all sizes in the management of social, economic, and environmental impacts.
Events, whether big or small, can leave their footprints in the society and environment by generating harmful waste. By becoming ISO 20121 certified, one will be able to host the same event but with minimal risks and impacts. You can also prove to the audience that you care about the social, environmental, and economic impacts while organizing events.
Benefits of ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management
1-Increase the profits
2-Reduce costs
3-Control the amount of waste generated/produced
4-Improve the image and credibility of the event
5-Reach a wider audience and grow your access to sponsors

5W of Event
Who– Who is your target audience? After deciding who your target audience is, you can answer specific questions. Does your audience reside in a specific region? What is the demographic of the audience? How will the audience impact the event as a whole? Are there specific schedules of your audience that need to be taken into account?
What– What is the main takeaway for this event? What are the specific aspects that make this event THE event to go to this year? What aspects of your event need to be decided months before the event? What does the event schedule look like? How long do your events need to be to get the message across and to make a lasting impression on attendees?
When– When will this event take place? Is there a time of year that your desired venue is available? Is there a time of year that is less hectic in your desired city? What will the weather be like during your desired event dates? Is there a specific time of year when your audience is most/least busy? How often will this event take place? Will the event take place during a specific time in a sales cycle for your audience?
Where– Where is your event going to take place? What venue, in what city? Where will attendees stay if they come from out of town? Is there an airport, public transportation, or accommodations around the desired location? How easy is it to get to your desired venue or city? Where do most of your attendees live?
Why– Everything you do for your event will have a purpose. Why did you choose “this” over “that”? What are the overall goals of the event and what should you record for changes for future events?

PROS AND CONS OF EVENT PLANNER
PROS
VARIETY
You might find yourself working on conferences, sporting events, celebrity parties, charity fundraisers, fashion shows, product launches, conventions, gala dinners, shop openings, or film premieres, etc.
MEETING INTERESTING PEOPLE
From clients to guests, suppliers to performers, and speakers and consultants; you’ll meet a wide range of people, and often be taught things you didn’t know or hadn’t experienced before.
EXPERIENCING NEW THINGS
Whether it’s traveling abroad, tasting fine foods and wines, coming into contact with famous people, or getting to go to places, venues, and events that you would never usually get to see, there are always new things to experience.
SHORT CONTRACT WORK AVAILABLE
It’s possible to be a self-employed freelancer and work for short periods on a specific event, then take longer periods off in between—meaning you can juggle it with other priorities such as family or other work.
GOOD JOB PROSPECTS
It’s still a relatively new and fast-growing industry so the need for event planners is expected to remain high for some time.
CONS
LONG / ANTI-SOCIAL HOURS
Weekend and evening work is frequent, often in addition to regular office hours—plus there are lots of events over holiday periods.
STRESSFUL WORK
There is a lot of pressure for things to go right, under a strict time frame, and within budget.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Although you can get away without formal education, training, or certification, you absolutely must have the experience to become an event planner.
TIRING WORK
15 hour days are common, most of which is spent on your feet running around doing physical things; fetching, lifting, and carrying.
RECESSION-AFFECTED JOB
When the economy is down, events are one of the first things to be cut so planners get laid off and it can be difficult to find work.

Common Event Organizer Mistakes
1- Losing Sight Of The Event’s Goal
Every decision you make brings you closer to accomplishing it or moves you further away from it.
2- Trying To Do It All By Yourself
Event planning is a team effort. It requires individual assignees to get the work completed, as well as someone to coordinate the efforts.
3- Competing With Others
It’s easy to get derailed by trying to keep up with other events and event planners, particularly because most event organizers pull ideas from one another and it’s encouraged to look at others in the industry. But it should always be done for the positive. Don’t let inspiration erode into jealousy or useless competition.
4- Thinking It’s Only The “Big Moment” That Attendees Will Remember
If you do nothing else, create little surprises that provide comfort to your audiences, such as providing bug repellent or sunblock, or misting fans, and cooling stations for outdoor activities. These small touches can make attendees feel like they’ve thought of everything.

Changing Trends in Event Industry
The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns have had a significant impact on events across the globe. For the first time in living memory, everything from weddings and birthday parties, to conferences and product launch events, had to be canceled or moved online. so here are some trends that will be in focus in event management.
1- First Micro-events
Micro-events became a popular trend. These events include a small guest count that complies with local and state capacity restrictions, social distancing, mask-wearing, catering, and following COVID safety guidelines.
Micro-events and micro-weddings started because venues were limited to the number of people they could host, but people like the intimate feeling and the reduced stress of planning for a small group that micro-events provide.
2- Virtual and hybrid events
The reliance on virtual meetings and events increased in 2020, as tools like Zoom allowed people to work and have social time safely from the comfort of home. Virtual events are here to stay but will continue to evolve over the next year, especially with hybrid events.
Hybrid events are a combination of some guests attending in-person and some participating virtually. This allows people to take part in the event according to their comfort level. Venues and restaurants can benefit from virtual and hybrid events by providing catering services that deliver items to virtual attendees’ homes. They can also offer their space as the stage and broadcasting location, and provide staff and audiovisual equipment or partner with local vendors.
3- Sustainability is here to stay
Sustainable event planning has gathered a lot of support in recent years. It’s been found that most attendees are more supportive of green events. From reusable cutlery to eco-friendly swag and sustainable event venues, event organizers are doing everything they can to ensure their events are environment-friendly.
4- Distancing in Sessions & Breakouts
Social distancing isn’t going away anytime soon. The emphasis on social distancing in today’s culture means that your future events will look different. Room layouts will have to change as a result. You won’t be able to put rows of chairs as close to each other for large sessions, and you can’t place as many people at a table in breakout sessions.
You’ll need more tables to be able to spread people out, and you may even want to consider a different venue to accommodate your participants.
5- Increased Sanitation Procedures
The global pandemic has increased awareness of sanitation practices worldwide. For the comfort and safety of your event, it’s important to practice strict and visible sanitation procedures.
Before, during, and after your event, disinfect all surfaces, bathrooms, and high-touch areas such as microphones, doorknobs, handrails, speaking lecterns, and elevator buttons.
