i'm not a shipper or anything, but just wondering, why did sasuke say that naruto was the only one who didn't give up on him during the time travel arc? i was expecting he'd also say sakura or say team 7 in general. bc of that, some sns extremists and ss antis are using this against ss

I guess because Sakura still tried to give up on Sasuke, but she ultimately couldn't do it. Sasuke said something similar during chapter 698, regarding how everyone tried to cut their ties to him at one point or another, and that includes Sakura:

I just love this scene; it’s sweet that Sakura thinks of Sasuke as a pure soul.

The first thing she notes is his kindness, how she loves him for his heart. As a child, she thought he was cool and handsome, but that was then. That silly crush blossomed into genuine love as she grew older and came to know him.

Now—yes, she talks about his good looks, but it’s to praise him for not being one to use it to his advantage. Gotta love SasuSaku. 🤍

Apparently Sasuke is still seen as too stupid to understand and feel romantic love “before redemption” because–why?? Because he’s “Sasuke”…*rolls eyes*…Just because you’ve never been in a relationship doesn’t mean that you are immune to feeling romantic love, or any type of love for that matter. Sasuke already felt things for t7 and each of them was a “different” thing. He had: The teacher who was like a father figure…the annoying rival, classmate, that was like a brother…and the girl who filled his lonely existence with the emotion called love that was like a lover, especially in the mangaka’s own eyes…!!! The curse of hatred never removed his feelings for team 7 the first time he left the village–(“whatever feelings he had for each and every one of them”)…it just blinded him from the path that led to true happiness. Also, he didn’t leave the village the 1st time because he was scared of what he might have been “starting to feel” for team 7. No!!! He left because of what he “already felt” for them!!! He felt too much and his curse saw that as a weakness to achieve his goals of vengeance. Sasuke may have gone

through traumatic events, and that may have changed him in the sense of expressing his feelings to people; but they never removed them(his feelings, I mean). Never. Please also do drop the misconception that broken boys are incapable of feeling things and having emotions (any type of “emotion”.) just because it seems too cheesy for you. Especially in Sasuke Uchiha’s case. Considering that he’s… well… you know?…“An Uchiha!!”…part of a clan that treasured/treasures love the most and felt love the deepest!!
