is this the first comic where game terminology is used? i think it is. the next one’s got… i wouldn’t quite call it an info dump, but definitely Some Lore. and also perhaps the first joke in the entire comic, and the only one in this arc. so you have that to look forward to, my dear single reader.

this is also the first time we get a look at the lay of the land of blumiere and timpani’s original world. we got a long strip of beach with cliffs to the northeast, where the tribe of darkness makes their home in the dark forests. below the cliffs are grasslands and hills and a less dense forest, along with the human village close to the ocean. 

i’m excited to move on to the soul crushing road trip part of the story soon, which is very, very long. i’m looking forward to it, and i’m looking forward to you seeing it.

he was going to tell her why he was where she found him, but changed his mind. he never does get to have that conversation with her.

timpani is mostly disappointed that he didn’t even realize there was a problem. she had to find out he was a person and not an angel sometime though.
