the notes on that last poll are insane there was someone who said they separate fics into "porn" and "story" and they didnt stop for a second to think that sex in and of itself might be a story??? the way some of you people trivialize sex and explicit art is fucking bonkers to me. you sound like a christian when you act like sex cheapens art or like art focusing on sex is a completely separate category from non-sexual art. explicit fics, yes even pwp (which i believe is a misnomer anyways), are telling stories and they're stories worth telling because sex is normal and healthy and deeply important to many of us. just because something gets you off doesn't mean it's cheap or meaningless. i'd argue that things that engage the viewer sexually are very meaningful because human sexuality is complex and beautiful and worth sharing and exploring. Grow up and read about the guys you like sucking eachother off

#sexuality as a lens to explore character is my favourite thing #the last binding trilogy does it so beautifully. but there’s so many fics I love that do it wonderfully too #that one critical role fic about everyone in vox machina’s first time giving head written in second person influences my writing to this day

its so disturbing how many people get appendectomies when there's no evidence that it even helps with appendicitis :/ hm? oh? no i know about that but it wasn't double blind so it doesn't count. you know. one of those double blind appendectomy studies where we give people with appendicitis a placebo appendectomy and the doctors doing it also don't know if they've actually removed the appendix or not at the end of the procedure. yeah nobody's done one of those so the evidence doesn't count and if looks like there's just no evidence for appendectomies :/ and some of the people getting them might be autistic so idk if they can really consent to having their body permanently altered... but of course you can't talk about any of this because of Woke nowadays...

Haruhi fujioka really is the character ever. Going by any pronouns in 2006. Big beautiful brown eyes like a baby cow. Constant deadpan delivery. Getting bitches constantly. Reacts to romantic advances with a thousand-yard goldfish stare. Perfect flawless protagonist 10/10

#got ‘mistaken’ for her at a con once when I was doing kyoya (which in retrospect: ew) and was annoyed bc I was like I have glasses… #why would you pick the one afab character (and similar stuff has happened since- e.g. me being assumed to be cosplaying vex when I was like. #so obviously vax. I’d personally be really grateful if charities focused on disabled individuals who encourage disabled applicants would actually make sure to state a close date, stick to it, and take down ads after the fact. because the fact that I’ve twice thrown away spoons applying to a disability charity only for them to apologise and say it was actually supposed to be closed already. I’d have two nickels, but it’s not really funny that it’s happened twice.
