Logan Quirks

- He throws things…a lot… he throws away his cogitating cap (13.30 of LNTAO), He throws his rubix cube (9.55 LNTAO), he throws the ball of paper at Roman in LNTAO, I’m pretty sure he throws a jar of crofters at SOME point, just… a lot of throwing going on.

- He has canonically fainted when he got so excited about Crofters ‘Logan’s berry’, the only other side (I think) that has also fainted is Patton in ‘my scary past’. 

- He SLAYED Roman in the epic rap battles of history spoof, we don’t talk about how fun that is….like y’all…what a time.

- His ‘I’m so done’ face (seen 1.20 of Fitting in) 

- His Sherlock cosplay; and subsequently ‘NO YOU CAN”T PLAY WITH US!!’

- His deconstruction of Remus in DWIT, not a quirk but I never get tired of mentioning it so here you go.

- FALSEHOOD!!!

- T: “You’re really…cool” L: *soft intake of breath* I LIVE FOR THIS MOMENT ALONE

- How he comforted Virgil after that first debate they had; ‘you did a good job’ and the encouraging smile he sent Virgil….cute

Meanwhile, as Roman and Virgil happily ramble out about Nico, the rest of the sides are back there in the mindscape, still awkward af and not talking to each other after POF.

After his relationships with Patton and Janus become so strained, Roman puts more effort into being friends with Virgil and Logan.

The new episode comes out and Roman is complementing Logan, telling him he's doing great, agreeing with and supporting him. And Logan is... confused.

"Oh, I love that idea! You're so intelligent, my dear nerd."

"Roman... do you want something from me? You're being awfully nice. If you need something, you can just ask."

And frankly, Roman is heartbroken.

some various sides-related info from the members livestream:

-season 3 is going to be written and filmed in bulk, with all or a good portion of it being done at the same time which will hopefully seriously decrease the wait between videos!!

-patreon money is going towards increasing production value specifically new cameras and mics!

-all thats left in season 2 is “one or two sanders asides episodes” and then the finale

-virgil does (in fwsa) know that janus got accepted and he is “not happy about it”

-”justice for bathroom guy? who knows. maybe” thomas x bathroom guy shippers grab your toilet paper

-”is that fair to him is definitely referring to the cute stranger- he doesnt give an f about janus” :(

-nico will be a recurring character & is specifically puerto rican! also the question he asked thomas was about the carrots lol

-the entire endcard was spitballed like a week before the video released, including the purple eyeshadow

-the eyeshadow isnt just “virgil being happy” its specifically the butterflies in the stomach kind of feeling because anxiety + excitement are the same chemicals! also roman didnt acknowledge it because it has “probably happened before” (and it probably will return again)

-”in a similar way that logan, although not present in moving on part 2 after he left, still showed evidence he was there- patton and logan make a cameo in the endcard. in a similar way. and were just gonna leave it there, because i dont wanna spell it out for you guys”

-the stimming in endcard was suggested by joan (who has adhd) who didnt know that was stimming until the fandom pointed it out fhdbgfkf. also thomas is looking into whether hes maybe adhd himself!!!!

-thomas watches a lot of sides animatics on youtube + they inspired the format of fwsa!

-nicos name was between luca/luka, diego, and nico (which is short for nicolas!)

how to write the sanders sides

an incomplete reference

i used this post by @suibianbichen and this post by @coconut-cluster as a reference, thank y'all for a) making them and b) inspiring me to make this!!

this is based on my observations from the series, interpretations differ and that's okay!! if you have something to add, feel free to let me know :D

Virgil

rarely dominant in conversation

communicates easily (occasionally non-verbally) with logan; struggles with roman (speech overlaps, roman dominates), patton (tries, but often overwhelmed); cuts communication with janus (ignores, cuts off), remus (doesn't engage)

"oh, for crying out loud"

very thoughtful speech, often weighted, pauses between words

struggles to get words out when anxious

either flat or urgent tone

very good at understanding non-verbal communication

bites thumb

messes with clothes when anxious/uncomfortable

when he's uncomfortable he does a sorta half-smile and looks away

Really Easily Startled

Remus

flat speech (seems sarcastic)

uses sources, simple metaphors/examples to explain points

small gestures, always seem intentional (performative)

acts superior, condescending

struggles to adjust to others' points of view

messes with/looks at gloves(/hands) a lot

mostly calm/honeyed tone

like i said, this is an incomplete reference—feel free to add on! my general recommendation for writing any fanfiction, really, is to rewatch some of the source material to get a feeling for the character voices (videos i'd recommend for this: lntao, dwit, svs:r)
