jesus this did something to me and I wrote a whole ass thing (and if anyone sees this and decides to make a real fic out of any of it pleeaaase tag me)

so influencer!Lando whose side hustle as an escort blends so seamlessly with his existing life that he doesn't really bother to hide it much. he was born rich but wanted to make his own money so with help from his parents to move out and have a home studio, he leaves school with like bare minimum GCSEs and immediately begins his influencer work. the escort part of course came a little later and wasn't even really planned. he doesn't get 'paid' by the men he's with per se - they just pay for everything when he's with them and often shower him with expensive gifts. he eventually buys his own house but Max lives there more than him.

engineering student!Oscar who insists on working as a driver for a private car firm so that he's not entirely dependent on his parents who are paying for his distance learning at maybe Brunel? if we're keeping this McLaren/Woking/London centric. the job blends perfectly with his internship in F2. maybe he shares a flat with Logan and Robert since he's gone so often. Lando is already living his dream while Oscar's dream is to be a race engineer in F1.

let's say that Lando's clients are mostly pro DJs and powerful men in F1. (and wouldn't that be a tasty way to have sex scenes with other Lando ships js !!) Lando only uses private car companies with unimpeachable discretion (bc listen a lot of the men he works for can't quite wait until they get to the hotel or their homes for a taste of Landinho). so he usually never gets the same driver twice but suddenly this really cute young guy with a pretty mouth and great shoulders shows up almost everywhere Lando has traveled to. Lando's got his fair share of stalkers and while the guy is pretty damn hot, Lando can't take any chances. he starts talking to the guy when they're alone - asking strategic subtle questions - and it becomes pretty obvious the guy (Oscah) has absolutely no idea who Lando is or what he does. seems like kind of a boring nerd truth be told which is such a waste of the body Lando gets a peek at when Oscar takes off his chauffeur jacket to change a flat tire.

he should be relieved when he stalks Oscar's boring and barely active instagram account and sees a couple pictures of what is obviously his girlfriend. Oscar's a boring straight dude, it makes sense now. but Lando's never once felt jealous of his clients' girlfriends or wives - is even good friends with some. and then others, he kind of pities but reasons it away bc if pounding and choking Lando in the world's most exclusive hotels keeps their men satisfied sexually enough to stay in the relationship then maybe actually Lando is kind of a saint??

but quiet, respectful Oscar with the little flashes of silly humor and the steady brown eyes under his intensely straight eyebrows ends up working his way into Lando's brain despite his crazy fun-filled life. maybe it's because Oscar is straight but doesn't judge or blink an eye when the partition goes up and Lando starts making all those noises that his clients reward him for with jewelry the same price as a small country and seats at events normally reserved for royalty. or maybe it's because Oscar goes that extra mile for Lando without being asked: waiting with the car around the corner even after being dismissed because the client couldn't be sure if the kids would get home today or tomorrow and sure enough, Lando had to make a break for it minutes after arriving. or walking by Lando's side up to a theater's stagedoor when his client hadn't shown the good grace to send someone to meet him on the street - then waiting behind the crowds to walk Lando back to the car afterward. or that one time Lando and a client had clearly taken something they shouldn't at a particularly crazy party and Lando had gone into a full blown panic attack with the guy still inside him. so Oscar had pulled over, opened the back door and convinced the client that police were after him and he'd better escape on foot. the ruse had somehow worked and then Lando was shakily pulling his expensive trousers back on while emergency dialing his personal trainer, Jon, for help. but it was Oscar's brown eyes constantly checking in on him that got Lando's heart rate to steady. maybe in the chaos Oscar's normally tidy and combed back work hair has turned into it's state of natural floppyness and Lando's brain catalogues how handsome he looks that way.

maybe after that episode, the next time Lando gets into the car with Oscar he tries to give Oscar an exceptionally large tip in cash 'so that you get to keep all of it for once'. Oscar eyeballs the wad of bills and quietly refuses it which leaves Lando like ??? and ofc he can't leave anything alone so he asks him why?? he's asked around and knows chauffeur work doesn't pay all that well and his other drivers are happy to accept tips in exchange for 'inconvenience' and 'discretion' so why not Oscar?

but oh damn! that's when they arrive at the rendezvous point and Lando's client eagerly gets into the car and gets his hands all over him at the same time as throwing a dismissive 'glass up, yeah?' at Oscar. Lando stares at Oscar's reflection in the rearview mirror for as long as possible while his client is mauling his neck and pulling his shirt open, but Oscar never once looks back.

Oscar is suspiciously absent more times than usual after that and Lando knows it isn't due to sickness or traveling home because he snoops on Oscar's tagged photos and sees that he's once again been in most of the same locations as Lando. his stomach drops unexpectedly when the girlfriend is with him in a few funny videos at the same circuit Lando had been to - except that when the junior team's race had been going on, Lando was being the pre-race good luck ritual for the F1 team's principal.

so a few weeks later, Lando decides to use his own celebrity status as pull to ask the company specifically for Oscar. maybe it's wrong considering he's wielding power over what are clearly Oscar's wishes but for some reason Lando feels like he needs closure. even though Oscar's never really opened up to him at all he's shown Lando more respect and consideration than most of the people in his life apart from his family and Max. he's had enough people using him for that to speak volumes. he'd gotten Oscar to talk a little bit about the F2 people in his group and his degree and where his family live but it's more like soundbites than actual conversation.

Oscar shows up at Lando's house and does a slight double take when he gets out to open the rear door because Lando is in oversized sweats, wearing no jewelry and his hair is sort of smooshed and fluffy under his hoodie. the only showy thing about his look are his heinously overpriced sneakers. but Oscar just gives him a tight smile and a nod and closes the door after him.

when Lando answers "the park" to Oscar's question of "where to?" Oscar's eyebrows shoot way up and Lando has to rush to clarify that it's not for a hookup for fuck's sake. the confusion turns into helpless giggles and Lando wonders if there's maybe hope for them to become friends? or something like that? maybe a friend whose dick he could suck?

and when they reach the park, Lando gets out only to get back in again but in the passenger seat. Oscar is a hundred different kinds of awkward and offbeat and Lando babbles about how different everything looks from up here and says something bitchy about a few of the people in the park while Oscar just does that staring thing.

and like, if the character were anyone other than Lando they would maybe gradually lead up to the big question. but it's Lando so he just says "why did you start avoiding me? were you insulted when I offered you that tip? because I thought I wasdoing a nicething I'msorrydoyouhateme?" and at first Oscar would remind him to breathe but then he'd look thoughtful and explain in extremely logical terms that he was insulted by the tip but then asked himself why should he be? which led to him realizing that a lot of his life had started to become about Lando - waiting for Lando, driving Lando, thinking about him during his "appointments", getting uncomfortably hard whenever he heard Lando make Those Noises, and then to looking up Lando's content online. the tipping point was realizing just how much of his Lando time was eating into the already limited amount he and his ex-girlfriend (Lando: ex???) had together and that they'd made a mutual decision to break up and go back to being friends. they'd even managed to spend a couple more weekends together that she had already booked flights for and part of Oscar wished he could feel more upset about the breakup. but Oscar had already decided to give Lando some space since someone developing feelings shouldn't be using a professional service to continue seeing them. (Lando being Lando doesn't realize that's exactly what he did so he doesn't feel bad about it lol)

meanwhile Lando's head kind of acts like it's about to fall off his neck and his eyes are wide and a little crazy and he blurts out "I want to kiss you right now but there are three people and a paparazzi photographer standing over by that gate filming me and I have to go over there for selfies so they don't suspect anything brb" and then Oscar's the one left with his head feeling baffled and confused because he'd assumed that Lando would pity him and then never see him again. maybe he'd kind of hoped Lando would offer him sex as a consolation gift… not that Oscar would have taken him up on it!!!

but by the time Lando gets back into the car he's in the backseat again and asks Oscar to drive aimlessly around and finally fucking open up about himself. Oscar's amazed at how quiet Lando can suddenly be while he listens to Oscar talk about himself for the next four hours. they pick up cheap takeaway followed by coffee and muffins and Lando must have silenced his usually energetic phone because they aren't interrupted once. they both end up talking about their childhoods and favorite sports and laughing until the sun starts going down and Lando's had too much to eat and begins to doze off and snore like a hacksaw (Oscar being so fond).

and maybe when they get back to Lando's house, Oscar opens the door and has to wake Lando up but the whole time he's still so #fond and realizes how cute Lando is when he's not trying to be celebrity adjacent or hoeing it up. especially when Lando finally rouses and grins up into Oscar's face all sleepy and stretching himself - poor Oscar's heart bounces to his ass and back up again bc he's already in deep love.

then Lando would lead Oscar upstairs - on the way knocking on Max's open door and nodding at Oscar followed by Max rolling his eyes and heading downstairs bc Lando's whore sounds carry over to his mic while he's streaming and he assumes Oscar and Lando are going to poundtown.

and so does Lando - but Oscar annoyingly sits in the bedroom chair rather than joining Lando on his big comfortable expensive heated bed because Oscar has to confess that he's old-fashioned and while he doesn't at all judge Lando's side hustle he just couldn't share Lando like that. so if Lando would rather…NONONONO Lando can't believe that's the only thing in the way of poundtown with Oscar bc omg Lando honestly has more money than a lot of his clients and it was more about the networking and opportunities which tbh he doesn't even need anymore so it's no problem to stop w the other guys. he starts saying how he doesn't care how much money Oscar will ever have and it doesn't matter…

but Oscar starts laughing. bc while he does believe in working hard and supporting himself fully once he has his degree, his dad owns a big successful software company and while it's not Lando's family rich it's still pretty damn rich. and that one day he'd like to be earning enough that he can be the one to buy Lando beautiful jewelry.

and I can't imagine Lando lasting beyond that point so in my mind it jumps to Oscar's dick hitting the back of Lando's throat and then happily ever after lol.
