The white of his uniform is stark against the tan of Jake’s skin. Wherever he’s been for the past six months must have been sunny, because he’s a golden vision in front of Bradley. Seeing him, laughing with their friends, makes Bradley immediately regret that they’re reuniting in public.

“You look good,” Bradley mutters into the golden skin of Jake’s neck. Jake shivers. “White suits you.”

Jake snorts. “You askin’ me something? Shouldn’t you be on one knee for that?”

“Maybe later.” Bradley ghosts a hand over the buttons of the front of Jake’s uniform. “But I’ll be on two.”
