THE GOLDEN GIRLS ~ LIFE LESSONS

Sophia finds out that Dorothy had won money on a bet after going to the racetrack with Rose to help her find inspiration for her horse paintings, and she worries that Dorothy's gambling addiction from 15 years ago may have resurfaced. Dorothy dismisses her mother's concerns, claiming that she's no longer has a problem, but she soon becomes obsessive to the point of lying to everyone and even missing multiple interviews for a vice-principal's job. Seeing the returning signs of addiction, Sophia confesses to Blanche and Rose that Dorothy's past gambling problem had gotten so bad that it forced her to borrow money from loan sharks and, if Sophia hadn't given her the money from Sal's life insurance, Dorothy would have lost her house because she couldn't pay them back. Later, when Dorothy attempts to trick Rose into giving her more money, she's caught off guard when Rose admits to purposely going along with Dorothy's lie, helping her realize that she needs professional help to overcome her addiction once again.

I don't not engage with the miraculous fandom as much anymore, but I have come to the conclusion that the Venn diagram between Chloe Redemption Stans/Chloe stans and Chloenette shippers is, almost, a full circle.

Firstly, both parties believe that Chloe needs, no, deserves a redemption arc, and if you are against this you are okay with child abuse.

Both also believe that it's Marinette's responsibility, the responsibility of bullying victim, to facilitate this redemption by giving Chloe another chance. This might be either Marinette befriending Chloe, or giving back the Bee miraculous, or completely writing Zoé out of the story post season 3

Third but not last, both have an idealised/fanonised version Chloe they always fall back onto for these scenarios. It's always the version where Chloe has the canon sass but without the shittiness of being a spoilt bully. She is kind and respectful in her very own Chloe way!

reid really acted like jj maliciously didn’t tell him about emily being alive, made her feel like an awful friend because she was protecting emily - as if emily was on fucking vacation and wasn’t fighting for her life for 7 months on the run away from everyone she loved to protect them - he weaponised his addiction to make jj feel guilty for not telling him (again - as if she had a choice!!!) (i will genuinely never forgive him for saying that he had absolutely no right to put that on her). but according to reid stans and youtube comments jj and emily are the ones in the wrong???? but he’s not mad at hotch, the one who ordered emily to fake her death, again, TO PROTECT HER AND THE TEAM????? fuck this man entirely idc and the fact he didn’t even apologise afterwards. deserves no rights.

“Hey Gorgeous.” Tara’s smile is soft as she kisses Alex cheek as she passes her to pour herself a coffee, pausing at the sound of Alex’s breathing hitching. Rage instantly starts to boil and Alex’s soft choking breathing draws her attention again as she sets her mug down, moving to wrap her arms around Alex. “Sorry…” “For what?” “Being so… weak.” “Hey, you aren’t.” Tara murmurs softly. “Who said that?” “Rossi.” Tara scoffs, rolling her eyes. “Man cannot handle that we’re together babe, you know that…” “He said I was just….” “You aren’t.” Tara promises again, kissing Alex softly, stroking tears from her cheeks. “You are my forever.” Later, once Alex is calmer, Tara takes a chance to ‘talk to’ Rossi. Her voice raising as she lays out the issues she has with him, laughing slightly when Emily takes her side, her voice soft. “Thanks Em.” “Just take Blake home, alright? She needs you.” “Yes ma’am.” Tara does takes Alex home, making a point to flirt a little more openly, stealing a soft kiss before leading her away to take her home.

Lights are dim and candles burn brightly, perfect for a honeymoon getaway. Or something Blanche asks either her or Dorothy to help set up for a date of hers. And she and Dorothy would have to share it? Why does Rose feel her cheeks turning hotter the more she thinks about it? Why is she imagining Dorothy in lingerie lounging on it- "A what suite?" Dorothy's voice breaks the silence. The receptionist is quiet and poker faced, nodding in confirmation. Rose looks at her friend who looks like she might either strangle the girl or give out to her. She wants to put her hand on Dorothy's shoulder to calm her down, to cut the receptionist some slack. She's tired, Rose is tired, and so is the receptionist. Rose hesitates, looking away. "A couple's suite?!" "Dorothy, please," Rose pleads at her, getting her attention. "It will be fine for the night."

Hair cuts!

This is a reference to two things! 1- Shane's old hairstyles, that being long and the side buzz cut he had for a sec 2- the "damn I messed up, we gotta go bald" is from a meme video

I do find the headcanon of Emily helping out Shane with his hair to be a fun wholesome idea OH and that Emily uses Haley's vanity mirror.

(Haley's wallpaper is fun! but tacky as hell)

ANYWAY, this was yet another attempt at backgrounds and this one was a lot more enjoyable :) Looking at Shane's old art did give me another funny idea but I'll have to draw it another time, I want to get better at drawing the other bachelor's so it'll have to sit on the back burner for a bit!
