Hello, dear fellowshiplers! Sorry it’s been quiet so long...let’s just say that life has been tough and busy for quite a few of us and a lot of plans didn’t work out as expected.

Aaaaanyway, for those of you who are in Munich on Sunday: Part of our Avengers group will be on their way taking photos before going to see the movie (again). If you see us, come say hi! We are easily recognizable (hammer and shield give it away quite easily...) We will also be at the Comic Con in Stuttgart in two months! And hopefully we will be able to make some new plans for me to add to our schedule (we have been wanting to do a creativity day for ages...) Cap for your Fellowship of 221b

Fellowship goes FBM!

Here we go: The summary of our (rather spontaneous) trip to the book fair in Frankfurt!

As usually our events start the day before – when suddenly you notice all the stuff you still need to do and what's still missing. So we were rather busy on Friday: Our Hawkeye even made a bow and quiver that would be allowed inside the fair grounds! Well, that's what I call dedication!

We met early on Saturday morning at the train station buying last supplies. After some initial difficulties thanks to the deutsche Bahn we were on our way. Though it took us three hours to get to Frankfurt, time flew by! After a little sushi brunch (made by magical-mistral, the only thing she can actually cook/make), we spent the rest of the time painting our nails (we were especially proud of our Bucky Barnes remembrance nails), doing our make-up and hair. We must have been quite a sight for the other passengers – sitting down? Nah, boring. ;) (We also had company: A few people from another group from Munich, who were lovingly called „babygeeks“ by us.)

That’s what our early lunch looked like. (Because the questions came up: The brown things are Inarizushi - little “bags” made out of tofu filled with rice. Super delicious and now our all-time favourite!)

So after we arrived in Frankfurt and locked away all of our unnecessary stuff on we went to our destination! It was pretty crowded, but even standing in a line becomes interesting if you can watch all sorts of cosplayers walking by. In comparison our outfits were rather restrained, but we love them anyway!

The inside was even more crowded. We wriggled through some halls trying not to lose each other and in the end settled for alternating between being outside with the other cosplayers (and there were so many amazing cosplayers!! I wish we had more photos, but it was very cold...) and getting little warm-up breaks inside.Have a few photos!

We met an awesome Bucky cosplayer and immediately used our chance for a few amazing photos (if you happen to read this, Bucky, please contact us! You were awesome!!)

And (for the sake of completeness) a Captain America picture. (I still don’t like photos of me. Hope that will get better next year.) And don’t forget our new companion! Meet Mr. Snuffles:

All in all it was a very funny day. especially funny when you destroy the childhood of some latent sexist guy who claims to be such a Marvel fan but didn’t even kow that canonically Thor is now a woman. (For his comments “I didn’t know Captain America had a wife!” and “Superheroes are not female” our Thor hit him with her hammer. He deserved it.) All the ladies were delightful! They had no problems with female superheroes whatsoever, but the male visitors were (sadly) a different story. Grow up, guys! We also helped a little Elsa win a bet with her sister. They wanted to see who would get most hugs and we were happy to help. The children at the book fair were amazing anyway! My personal highlight was a little girl with a Captain America shirt whose eyes lit up like Christmas upon seeing my shield. Impossible to say no to a photo in this case. ;)

After a few hours it was time to find our way back to the entrance – after all we had a three-hour-trip back to Munich before us. Well, not exactly three hours as the deutsche Bahn announced very proudly that they arrived two minutes before schedule. Though all of us were rather tired we had a lot of fun on the way back, too, and it was all over in the twinkling of an eye. Aaaand that was it! We will definitely think about going back there next year! Next fellowship activities

Hello everyone! I am very very sorry for the long silence - what can I say, the lives of superheroes are very busy! Nevertheless there will be at least another two fellowship/avengers meet-ups this year! First of all - I totally forgot to post the summary of our little picnic! I will try to do it during this weekend! Now for the next events! The avengers are going to Asgard! Well, not Asgard, but we will visit the book fair in Frankfurt. it will be an amazing (and probably pretty crazy) day, as we will go there by train in the morning, spend a few hours there and then go back on the same day. If this if going to be as epic as our Doctor WHo Day (which was also an event that pretty much lasted all day), it’s gonna be amazing. So if you happen to be there, come and find us! It’s not sure yet whether all of our Avengers will be there, but you will be informed in time! (So far Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Loki, Thor and Captain America will be there for sure! We will be in Frankfurt on the 17th October - looking forward to it very much! Afterwards we will probably have smaller events - like movie marathons (we still need to re-watch Age of Ultron together!) or visiting christmas markets - before we will meet for our annual christmas meet-up! It’s come to be a fellowship tradition - everyone coming together to celebrate christmas, exchanging presents and having lunch/dinner in a gorgeous Irish pub with great atmosphere. It’s a great way to think of all the awesome stuff we did during the year - and also make plans for the year to come! Date tba. To amazing times ahead! Cap for your fellowship of 221B

Picnic!

Avengers - assemble! And soon-to-be-avengers, too. Non-avengers also welcome! Bit of a short notice, but yeah: There will be a fellowship picnic next Saturday (11.7.)! How does it work? Well, everybody brings something to eat and we all share. :) the weather is supposed to be very nice! Please bring your own beverages! And if you have a picnic blanket or something similar, you are very welcome to bring that, too. ;) Where will we meet? Main train station, 11am. We will make our way from there! And what else will we do? Our Falcon (yes, we have a Sam Wilson!!!) wanted to go visit the Item-Shop - we are happy to oblige! Avengers assemble #2!

Alright, my dear avengers! After checking the weather forecast nearly on an hourly basis the last few days, I say we risk it and assemble tomorrow! It’s supposed to be about 20°, ad it isn’t supposed to rain until the afternoon. (though there might be a chance that it won’t really start until the evening, so....) We meet as usual - 10am, info point, main train station, you know the drill - and will be escorted to the Stark Tower. We will get ready there - unlike last time we won’t have breakfast first, so we just get ready quite quickly and depart for our photo sessions. Food and drinks we can easily get in the city (as most shops will be open tomorrow, which is a nice coincidence).

We will disassemble some time during the afternoon - whenever it looks like it’s gonna start to rain or we get tired. I guess that’s convenient for everyone.

I am sooooo excited for tomorrow! Until then~ Cap

„You have to imagine the soundtrack for that!“

...this was where everybody started humming the main theme of the Avengers. Yes, it was pretty awesome. Our outfits were even more awesome. The only thing not so awesome was the weather, but true Avengers don't let a little rain keep them from saving the world.

Here is the summary of our Avengers day! (There will be a separate post with pictures!! Link see end of post!)

The actual fun started the day before our actual event. If you didn't look at your phone for about an hour, there were about 50 unread messages. Well, let's say we prepare thoroughly!

The following day we all were up early and getting ready! Tons of makeup, accessories and food were gathered and brought to our meeting point at 10 in the morning. We were greeted there by our Tony Stark, who then proceeded to lead us to the Stark tower – our designated area for getting ready for an amazing day. It took us quite a while until everyone was presentable – there was a lot to consider. Not only did we spend a year thinking about possible outfits (which were then bought or even sewn!), we also thought about possible hairstyles for each of us. Even our nails matched our characters – if anything we are into detail!

Once we were ready we all snatched our umbrellas and were headed off to our first location for some photos. It was – to put it bluntly – freaking cold!!! And wet. But the photos turned out great in spite of the weather. Here – have some examples of how much fun we had in our outfits!

Afterwards we were all chilled to the bone and decided to head straight to the cinema for some tea. Because obviously if you dress up like that you have to go see the matching movie. So we all together went to see „Age of Ultron“ - which was then discussed during Shawarma – or the alternative we found nearby. It was probably good that our Tony and our Steve sat on opposite ends of the table, otherwise we wouldn't have to wait until next year for a civil war to break out. ;) Another highlight was of course various people who talked to us in front of the cinema, asking for photos or other guests at the restaurant who were sad about our departure – claiming they felt so safe with us being next to them. But even heroes have to sleep sometime. And we really had a tough time saving the world after all.

Aaaaanyway – it took us quite some time to get everybody home safely, but around midnight everybody was home and tucked in safely in bed. We were all beyond exhausted, but quite flashed with the day. And we all agreed: It was AMAZING and will definitely be repeated. So there will be even more photos taken when it's not raining the whole day. And even better: Our group will be even bigger then! Our Black Widow will be with us (poor guy got sick the day before) and possibly Phil Coulson will join us, too!
