midnight thoughts lmao

do you guys ever think about how we’d be somewhere completely different if we didn’t do stuff for other people, like seek validation or wait for approval. Like I would definetely not be wearing this shirt or liking the same tv shows or eating certain things, and we don’t realize it because it’s inevitable. Like in a sense that if maybe 5 years ago I made a decision for myself instead of for other people, my life would fall in the same pattern, or later that week another decision and blah blah blah until it’s a million decisions making a different life than the one you’d be now if you chose for yourself.

Like also, we pretend to be like them so that we are not rejected or just fit the mold. A metaphor I was thinking about was like wearing clothes. Like “hey, let me wear all this clothes so you don’t actually see what my skin looks like, or you don’t see my tattoos”, tattoos being like scars or bruises of our life. You know?
