hey can you explain wth ted lasso is about? i see all these gifs and absolutely none of them seem to be connected? is it a comedy? Romance? Drama? who is that little thottie with the long hair? Also is it good and where can i watch it!
first of all i would like to thank you personally for the best ask i have ever received
second, it’s about Ted Lasso, an American football coach who’s hired as the new manager of a struggling Premier League soccer club despite having absolutely no experience with the (beautiful) game
deals with everything you expect from that summary - the culture clash, his American optimism clashing with British cynicism, English tabloid and football culture, the ageing footballer, the egotistical young star player, the stereotypical WAG model - but it has so much heart and depth and kindness to it. definitely a comedy, and a very funny one, but it’s from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence so you can expect a lot of heartfelt and emotional moments, it’s very good
you can watch it on apple tv which is what I definitely do I definitely don’t torrent it from the internet because i am a fine upstanding citizen
last but not least, the little thottie with the long hair is Trent Crimm, a skeptical journalist who covers Ted’s club, he is a bitch and i like him so much, but most importantly:

@jomiddlemarch generously allowed me to continue the premise of the second which I'm updating on AO3 under the title Resistance. Five chapters now and I think there will be 15. Possibly more. Thank you @theburnbarreljester for all of the brainstorming about this, I think our shared goal is to get Helnik to a farm in every AU on farmsteads that have Only One Bed, and I think that's very sexy of us.
War + Pregnancy + Helink
Depending on how much I wanted to torment @fericita-s...
Nina Zenik, who’d graduated summa from Smith and was three years into her physics PhD at Columbia, was stuck working with other computers as another glorified number-cruncher, but that didn’t mean she didn’t know they were working on something big and that was before the rumor about Oppenheimer’s visit made the rounds. And it didn’t mean that she wasn’t Matthias Helvar’s equal if not his superior, despite the stunningly blond Norwegian physicist’s positively arctic manner, which she made no bones about at the PX over a truly terrible glass of bourbon, which had most surprisingly and yet exorably led to a morning after with Matthias naked and gorgeous and far from aloof in her bed, blinking sheepishly, and then even more exorably (though less surprisingly), to Nina crouching over the one toilet put aside for the computers, being patted on the back by her desk-mate Inez.
They were building something terrible and world-changing and mathematically exquisite and Nina only hoped it would be finished before using a safety pin to secure her skirt stopped working and before she had to ask Matthias how Norwegian children said Daddy.

Matthias Helvar couldn’t stand Nina Zenik, not her voice or her impossible optimism or her endless ability to enjoy a filched chocolate bar, but he had to admit she was the most effective member of their Resistance cell and had saved his life at least four times. Five, if he allowed that he couldn’t have taken out the German with his wrist broken, Matthias’s, not the German's. He couldn’t stand her but that didn’t mean anything when they were holed up in a the garret of a sympathetic madam and there was one bed and nearly fresh sheets and Nina, lush and beguiling and warm, for a day and a night that they never spoke about afterwards. A day and a night he’d never expected to talk about afterwards, except when she put a hand on her flat stomach and leaned on his arm and blushed when they were stopped at a checkpoint, waved through on the basis of Nina’s deceit except that she turned to him once they were in the clear and shrugged. And he remembered that Nina never lied when the truth would do a better job. She didn’t speak much Norwegian and his Yiddish was worse, so he had to ask her in French.

Steve Rogers did, in fact, realize that something was off when he saw the outline of the woman’s odd bra (a push-up bra, he would later learn), but being an officer and a gentleman, he said that it was the game that gave the future away.
