Here’s something very interesting that was brought to my attention by a follower:
This spotify account (followed by Daniele Cavalli and possibly David Adcock, both friends of Alex) is undoubtedly Louise. The playlists “Australia Babe” and “poppy” (one of her pseudonyms), plus the music taste in general are a tip off. Two playlists in particular, “na then mardy bum” 🤢, created in December of 2017, and “Rawborough” contain many songs that were later mentioned by Alex to be songs he was listening to in an interview in early 2018:
There’s no reasonable way that Louise could have known what songs Alex was listening to months before he publicly mentioned them… unless they were in contact before July of 2018. Arctic Monkeys began recording TBHC in September of 2017 and spent about 5 weeks at La Frette Studios in Paris.
To further prove that this is her, she posted this on her story when Scott Walker died. You can barely make out the playlist title, but it’s “per la vittà”— which is the same playlist made by sabretoothedturner, as can be seen in the second picture posted. And, of course, the only artist this account follows? Louise Verneuil.
In these latest pics and videos she is in his face, and his eyes are everywhere except on her. His facial expression is constantly a mix of dead seriousness and boredom, except those few weeks in USA. What kind of inspiration could possibly come from that? What kind of songs this non recognizable Turner could make?
I agree with what you’re getting at but Alex has been such a wild card lately— he could either be writing up a storm or going through another period of writer’s block and I wish I had some inkling of what he’s actually feeling. He was supposedly “so in love” with Taylor and yet the one song that was definitively about her was so goofy and uninspired. It might be the opposite with Louise: bad body language, looks dead inside around her but is actually madly in love with her and has written an entire album about her à la Serge Gainsbourg‘s Initials B.B. But I personally doubt that. I think he wants to escape himself and/or his life so he’s hiding out in France, living like he’s in some French new-wave film with a clichéd “Parisienne” on his arm. There’s no way in my opinion that the relationship can truly be healthy or serious with the power dynamics and both of their weird identity crises.
I have a feeling Louise might be "the one". She's been around for almost 2 years (who are we kidding?).It's just a weird feeling. I think she's gonna be around for awhile.
Like I’ve said before, it’s so difficult to determine the true depth of their relationship because we haven’t really seen much of it or heard about it from his perspective. It doesn’t help that he rarely looks happy when he’s around her. However, he obviously likes her (probably loves her) enough to be with her almost 24/7, film her dumb music video, possibly allow her to create a rift with his close friends, as well as have a longterm affair with her which led to his leaving Taylor (whose NAME he tattooed on his arm— I will never get over the stupidity of that decision).
I don’t know if any of this determines how long they’ll be together though. I’ve heard stories about how Arielle was backstage at AM concerts months before Alex and Alexa broke up, so this behavior is probably a pattern. He’s shown that he can up and walk away from any relationship, no matter how much time and devotion was put into it. I personally think that after her allure wears off he’ll find someone new. It might be a few more years but I don’t know if he’ll ever really settle down; certainly not with the women he currently chooses to date.
“Sorry, I’m distracted by the fact you just mentioned the Batphone there. I was talking about that this morning with… in another interview, and I accidentally… The butler in Batman is called ‘Alfred’, isn’t he? And I, mistakenly, called him ‘Albert’ in this interview this morning, and it’s been eating me up. Cause, you know, you call yourself a Batman fan… What a fraud. I’m sorry, I just had to get that out there.”
