Thank you for sharing, I totally agree with you! As with all characters, understanding their motivations and where they come from is essential and acknowledging their history and whatever sympathy can garnered from it does not automatically justify or condone the character's choices nor does liking the character mean that you do so.
Lotor is an incredibly nuanced character and deserves to be examined as such. He is not a stereotypical, cut and dry ‘villain’ (despite the show’s last-minute attempts to convince us as such). Given his upbringing, it's shocking he didn't end up far worse than he did and it’s commendable that he was even trying to do better. He genuinely only wanted good things and though we can acknowledge his mistakes we should also be able to acknowledge his positive accomplishments, well-meaning motivations, genuinely heroic attributes and sympathetic qualities too.
I have other, saltier things I want to post about Lotor and the show but I'm nervous to do so in case the fandom attacks me as well lol
Forever sad thinking about poor baby Lotor crying alone in his crib. He was immediately rejected after he’s born with his own parents not even wanting to hold or look at him. He was never shown any love or affection as a child and even as an adult it’s hard to imagine that anyone has really cared. He’s probably never even been hugged. My heart just breaks so much for this poor boy. He deserved better…

Jancy is Endgame and Here’s Why
1. Jonathan and Nancy have always been a major duo since the beginning, it's a big part of their identity on the show and they’ve spent every season building it up. They’re not just going to throw all of that away for no real reason.
2. If Nancy leaves Jonathan for Steve, he will have very few connections left beyond just being Joyce's son and Will's brother - characters who have stronger narrative connections to others, which still leaves Jonathan with almost nothing. Steve, on the other hand, has a lot of other connections already - bigger ones than he has with Nancy too - like Robin, Dustin and the other kids. Narratively, Steve doesn't need Nancy, but Jonathan does.
3. If Stancy get back together, it really does leave Jonathan out to dry and does absolutely nothing for his character. The point of his story right now is that he has to choose himself and what he wants - his own happiness (with Nancy) over just being a caregiver in his family and has to learn to step away a bit to go live his own life. When Joyce returns, I’m sure she’ll reassure him of this as well and encourage him to pursue the life he really wants.
4.  "We like Steve, but we don't love Steve." Murray says this to Nancy in S2 and, though she denies it in the moment, she obviously realizes it's true and that's why she pursues things with Jonathan. She does like Steve but she canonically never loved him (even after he changed) but she does explicitly state that she loves Jonathan and does so at the beginning of S4 despite their current circumstances.
5.  A couple of shared looks between Steve and Nancy in S4 while she is feeling unsure about her standing with Jonathan at the moment and because she used to have romantic feelings for Steve and still cares about him obviously does not mean that she’s suddenly in love with Steve now and, again, she never really was. They have a history and haven’t spent much time together since they were dating so I think it’s understandable if that care for each other is visible.
6.  We see other characters like Robin and Eddie share their interpretations of Nancy and Steve’s interactions as "love" but that doesn’t mean it’s true. They don’t know Nancy and I could honestly see her risking herself for anyone she deeply cares about and it doesn’t automatically mean it’s coming from a place of romantic love. We as the audience have the full perspective but they don’t.
7. Between S1 and 2 we know what Nancy wanted to be with Jonathan (despite already being in a relationship with Steve) but he kept his distance. Their situation in S4 is similar where Nancy is left waiting for Jonathan with Steve back in the picture again. If Nancy wanted to be with Jonathan over Steve in the past before they even started dating, then there’s absolutely no reason that Nancy would suddenly choose Steve now when nothing has changed beyond her feelings for Jonathan having grown even stronger.
8. Jancy has had rough patches before and came out just fine. It'd be a bit more worried if they were shown to have had a serious fight or breakup but they didn't. They're still in love and the show definitely reminds us of this at the beginning of S4.
9. Getting back with Steve or even leading him on just to break things off and get back with Jonathan again would just be cruel and unnecessary drama.
10. Just speculation but Steve knows Nancy has been happy with Jonathan and I honestly don’t expect him to ever genuinely pursue a relationship with her again and try to steal her away from Jonathan. If things start going too far e.g. some old feelings start resurfacing in the heat of a moment and they have a lapse in judgement, I expect both Steve and Nancy to realize it was wrong and not really what they want or need.
Anyway, Jancy are definitely endgame. Feel free to add to this if I missed something!

Prediction: If the California boys are able to make it back to Hawkins in time before Vecna's curse on Nancy expires, we get to see both Steve and Jonathan try to reach her but her love for Jonathan is stronger and he's the one who's able to save her, thus reaffirming their relationship and proving to them and the audience that they belong together.

Love this! I've definitely been thinking that Sevika and Viktor will join forces but you pointed out so many more reasons than I originally thought. Hope this happens!
ARCANE THEORY
Why I think Sevika will join Viktor the Machine Herald in season 2/3.
Sevika is a simple but great character in arcane, she represents the desire for Zaun’s betterment and is willing to fight for it, She is a soldier and follower in the best way possible, total and complete loyalty to the cause, not to the person who leads that vision but to the vision itself.
And I think that it is Viktor who she will align herself with next.
I will preface by saying this is mostly speculation but it’s always fun to see what others think of your brain worms.
When we are introduced to Sevika she is disillusioned with Vander’s leadership, and arguably rightly so, and we see her motivations quite clearly. She desires an independant Undercity that is out from under Piltover’s boot and it will make their lives better for it, it is a goal she is willing to die for but more importantly fight for.
She loses her arm defending Silco on her first day on the job, literally willing to risk arm and leg to protect the Undercity’s future. She places all her eggs in Silco’s basket and offers her complete loyalty, heart, body and soul to fulfilling the cause.
Sevika acts almost like a Kingmaker, her allegiances in the story dictate the flow of power in Zaun. When she is still with Vander he remains as the de facto leader of The Undercity.
But when she withdraws her support from him and speaks against him publicly his influence and power seemingly goes with her. The entire bar of loyalist who were ready to defend and fight for him at the start of the show appears to disappear after Sevika leaves, the only allies Vander can lean on are Benzo and his kids.
Tumblr media
Silco’s influence over the Undercity begins in earnest once Sevika joins him and Vander is no longer able to counteract, that is until Sevika is severely injured losing her arm protecting Silco. Vander is then able to get the upper hand using Shimmer to save Vi. This isn’t a direct cause and effect but Sevika’s status seems to mirror the tides of war in the narrative, which we will see more of.
By supporting Silco over Vander she also demonstrates her view of ‘weakness’ that she despised Vander for, it is not physical weakness but the weakness of resolve and cowardice that she is referring too. She isn’t narrow minded in the way that someone’s physical appearance or perceived physical short comings prevent her from working with and following someone so long as their ideals, vision and conviction are strong.
Now Viktor, just before Sevika’s reintroduction to the story, Viktor is at his lowest point so far. He is physically deteriorating and on a time limit until his imminent death. This does not effect his resolve in the story, if anything it pushes him harder as his desperation for a ‘cure’ forces him to work more and more on the Hexcore, as his ultimate fear is to die before he has accomplished what he set out to do with Hextech as seen when he speaks with Heimerdinger (who is of no help, seriously mate!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Viktor’s character is physically weak yet extremely strong in his ideals and moral convictions, similar to Silco, but in comparison Viktor has the ability to make that future himself with his own two hands. I think that Sevika will also be drawn in by Viktor’s moral compass as well, he is ardently in favour of helping the people of Zaun over independence, far more invested in the quality of life for the people than the politics of the city. Doing actual good over gaining power, which in reality was Silco’s goal, to gain power within the Undercity at the expense of it’s people by using Shimmer to control people, which from a very brief moment we see from Sevika she is definitely not happy about.
Tumblr media
This scene where it cuts from Viktor to Sevika’s arc 2 reintroduction is why I think she will support him and his vision for Zaun in the next few seasons. The cards themselves (from what I’ve read but please correct me if I’m wrong) , Death and the Magician, together mean Transformation, the magician card itself being a refence to Viktor’s eventual Machine Herald form.
I don’t believe that this was just a fantastic transition but foreshadowing on how Viktor’s story will meet with Sevika’s, in this scene she is gambling, playing her cards right and this is her winning hand. I believe this will end up being literal as Viktor will be who she will join as her winning gambit to finally succeed in her goal fighting for a better Zaun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Calling back to her role as a Kingmaker, it’s obvious that despite choosing to remain loyal to Silco over Finn, her faith in him has been shaken.
Silco: ‘Were you tempted?’
Sevika: ‘Not for a worm like him. But there will be others.’
The last part ‘but there will be others’ referees to others wanting to usurp Silco but can also be taken to mean that there will be others to offer Sevika better options that she may accept.
That tells us that Sevika’s loyalty is only absolute until a better alternative to achieve her goals is presented, Finn attempted to give her his alternative but to Sevika it was not the better option but he did plant a seed of doubt, and like with Vander her waivering loyalty in Silco’s cause signifies the beginning of Silco’s end. Ultimately though, She can be tempted and she will change her loyalties, but only when she deems it advantageous, which I think Viktor will offer in his ‘Glorious Evolution’ removing shimmer entirely and seeking to heal Zaun from it’s effects, including Sevika.
Sevika ends at the end of Act 3 with her shimmer infused arm torn off and sitting alone in Silco’s office trying to light her cigar. She is literally a soldier without a commander at this point, though there is a good evidence to say that Sevika will form her own faction in Zaun as Finn pointed out that most of Silco’s operation was Sevika’s work, that it was ‘her ship’.
Now why would Sevika join Viktor?
Sevika is likely at a crossroads in her journey, she has supported two violent men in the past. One who turned into a pacifist for the sake of family and in her eyes threw away the cause and lives lost to let the Undercity slowly die to maintain the status quo in the name of peace. The other a man who manipulated those around them and increased the political power of the Undercity at the expense of it’s people, now addicted and deformed, to gain independence, ultimately achieving that but again throwing it all away for the sake of family.
Viktor offers another alternative, if we are to go by his lol lore then he is all about lifting the people of Zaun up rather than hoarding power and influence, his focus is on the welfare of the people of Zaun as opposed to just the idea of the city (all of which lines up with his motivations in Arcane). This is like Vander in terms of fighting for the people, it’s why he stopped fighting in the first place, to protect lives but it also shows Silco’s methods to provide Zaun with the raw strength it needed to stand up for itself. Viktor will likely be a mix of these two aspects from Vander and Silco to Sevika, concerned with the betterment of lives for the people of Zaun whilst also giving them the strength to fight for themselves against Piltover.
Viktor is similar in this. With the explosion of the council, the war between Piltover and Zaun will begin in full. Jayce will likely want to begin creating weapons with hextech while Viktor will oppose it in defence of his people, the average Zaunite over the chembarons and Jinxes. Ultimately leading to Viktor leaving (or being forced from) Piltover to go back to Zaun to finally implement his ideas to help people, beginning his transformation into The Machine Herald.
Tumblr media
An overlooked aspect of Sevika’s character is her tinkering/inventive side. After Caitlin shoots the shimmer pump on her arm, she modifies it to be loaded manually in order to prevent this vulnerability, we see her doing this during her conversation with Finn. She has engineering skills and capabilities that specifically relate to prosthetics, an area of expertise we have yet to see Viktor apply himself to beyond the hexcore transmutation. This will make Sevika less of a soldier to Viktor and more of a collaborator/colleague, which would be a nice change of pace for her character as she begins to take the helm in the cause that she fights for, she’ll still be the brawn to the brains but will be able to express her ideas more than she ever did before as Viktor will likely listen to what she has to say.
I believe that the two of them will use their combined knowledge to help create the ‘glorious evolution’ that LOL Viktor is iconic for in building Sevika her new arm and in Viktor’s own augmentations. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the only other relevant character we see with an augmented limb beside Viktor is Sevika, and considering that especially against Vi this one supercharged limb isn’t enough to beat her opponents, Sevika will seek further ‘improvements’ along with Viktor as he augments his body to save his life.
This will evolve into the glorious evolution ethos in that these body augmentations can not only save lives but improve them and upgrade humans capabilities beyond what they were born with, it won’t be just about survival but to live life to the fullest.
Sevika will in turn push Viktor to be more proactive in defending Zaun against their enemies, which will most likely be a Piltover represented by Jayce the Defender of tomorrow (taking on his lol lore moniker like Viktor), though Viktor will likely remain a more reactive combatant rather than looking for fights much like Sevika in how she fights when she is confronted but doesn’t go out looking for a fight like Vi does.
If it goes this way I look forward to seeing their relationship dynamic in contrast to her relationships with Vander and Silco.
The Herald and the Soldier.
