Even if you don't know his name, you likely do know the music of T-Bone Burnett. a prolific musician as well as producer, T-Bone Burnett has composed songs for movies/shows like O Brother Where Art Thou, Crazy Heart, and True Detective. Not to mention, he got his start playing as a guitarist in Bob Dylan's band in the '70s.

Wardell Quezergue is a producer, band leader and trumpet player from the 7th Ward of New Orleans. His arranging ability to make everything sound BIG earned him the nickname ‘Creole Beethoven.’

From New Orleans staples by Dr. John, Smokey Johnson, The Dixie Cups and Professor Longhair, to national hits like King Floyd’s “Groove Me” and Jean Knight’s “Mr. Big Stuff”, Wardell Quezergue’s works are an encyclopedia of the New Orleans sound. Listen to our interview with Wardell for more.
