Someone needs to say it but white gentile LGBT people.... y'all need to read books by/about cishet folks. You write off whole works by Black, brown and Jewish authors cuz "it's not gay :/"

I say this as a gay and trans person: you are LIMITING yourself doing this "I only read books by/about (white) gay/bi/etc people" like we NEED to read about other experiences not our own to expand our worldviews.

A book will have a fascinating plot and message but you're only question is "but is it gay?"

I hate villains/bullies/general asshole characters in fiction because I find them (and evil/meanness in general) boring and stale, but I’ve found that I also hate these character types because it takes literally no effort to be evil. 

Anyone can murder a village of innocents because daddy didn’t buy them a puppy when they were 10. Anyone can make cruel remarks about someone else’s appearance or style of dress. Literally anyone can stand there and laugh at someone getting beat up for just minding their business and enjoying their day. It takes no effort or thought process; it’s easy to be evil, too easy, in fiction and in real life. It’s the easy way out, and I will never find that interesting or compelling.

Kindness, on the other hand, does not come easily. It takes real work and effort and intention to be kind to others, especially if you’ve been hurt in the past. Kindness is difficult; it takes real maturity and an awareness of others’ feelings and situations and status as human beings. You don’t have to feel empathy to be kind; you just need to be aware that others deserve kindness (within reason) regardless of what you’ve been through in your life.

That is why kind characters will always be 100 times more interesting to me than Mean Girl #5000 or Genocidal Dickweed #1100.

I really loved the first story of your serie '"Watching Over You" and i'm agree with the Jiang: madam yu ruined the sect. Well her husband could have less passive too. I'm curious to know if you're gonna write about the other sect.
