yeah (tumblr version)
i think itd be cool if there was some horror involved in creatures that receive the mark of communication. like an ant comprehending a circuit board type shit. you can understand the iterators’ speech now, what else can you understand? all the objects around you suddenly have names they didn’t before, confluxes and arrays and coils. words and concepts too large for your small mind to comprehend; it gives you headaches often. maybe your mannerisms would change, too; you find yourself gesturing in ways you didn’t before, reaching for words your body isn’t built to speak. you don’t feel quite like the rest of your kind, anymore, and they know there’s something different about you, something that puts them on edge. i just think it would be interesting

on a semi related note: if your reaction to this mess is 'oh it's politics, ew,' fuck you. sincerely, fuck you. fuck you and your comfort. i still wouldn't wish any of the trauma and grief and loss on you, and i hope you never have to come to understand even a fraction of it, but your complacency disgusts me. over 30 thousand people dead and all you have to say is 'ew politics'? how out of touch with human life are you? if it's political to say that i don't support genocide, then i'll fucking be political. choke on it.

while i'm at it: i see people being angry at akupara and at main rain world discord staff, but less that are reaching out to palestinians to support them. they are the ones who will be most affected by this. don't lose sight of that in your anger.
some general things you can do: you can click this button once a day to donate ad revenue to UNRWA. you can also do it on multiple browsers and on multiple devices, so get in as many clicks as you can. here's a site run by palestinians that has a lot of resources about palestine. if you're a student, especially a college/university student, you can look for your local Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter and keep up with their events. if you live in the united states, email and call your reps, and if there's an equivalent in the country you're in, do the same. attend protests, attend events hosted by palestinian people, wear a keffiyeh or some other palestinian symbol in support, buy olive oil from palestinians, do something. rain world fans, email and tweet at akupara to pressure them into dropping the deal with ludeo. be angry, but also show support.
palestinian rain world fans, if there’s anything that can be done to support you in light of everything going on with ludeo and main rain world’s staff’s handling of the situation, feel free to use this as a nexus to share links or other stuff of the sort.

The survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who responded! Most people wanted to see the analysis of these results, so whenever I finish that up (not soon, I will warn), it will be posted to this blog.
I also want to address some concerns some respondents had about their responses. The analysis will not include any identifying information. Direct quotes, wherever used, will not use any sensitive information either. All the information is deidentified and I cannot trace it back to anyone. I will share what is needed for the analysis, and only that.
Independent Research on Experiences with Imaginary Friends
Hello Tumblr! Some of you may have seen this poll I made going around. As of writing this post, the poll is still going, so if you haven't voted and would like to you are more than welcome to do so. However, this post is to more formally announce the survey I made that expands on the idea behind the creation of the poll; you can access it here.
The survey polls on experiences with imaginary friends, but also includes questions about social experiences and neurodivergencies, in particular system experiences. You do not need to be a system to respond to this, and in fact I encourage singlets to also take the survey. People of all neurotypes and all ages are allowed to respond to the survey. The survey is primarily multiple choice with avenues to elaborate on your selections, but it also has three long answer questions. The whole survey should take around 15 to 20 minutes to complete. You are encouraged to be as specific as possible, even if you're not sure about how to answer a question.
All responses collected will be seen by my eyes only, and will be analyzed only by me; this endeavor is a one person effort. The data gathered by this survey will not be formally published. At best, if enough people wish to see the results, the results and analysis will be posted on Tumblr, on this same blog.
It would be much appreciated if this post is spread around, but I highly, highly encourage you to share the link to the survey outside of Tumblr as well. Data collection will cease on March 1st, 2024 or when there are 500 responses, whichever comes first.
Thank you in advance for indulging my curiosity!

One week left! Once again, take the survey if you're interested but haven't done so yet, pass it on to people you think might be interested, reblog and share! Thank you for all the responses so far!

Anyone else getting really fucking sick of this support:condemn dichotomy where folks online act like the only two possible responses to anything ever are to wholeheartedly support it or wholeheartedly condemn it?
"Oh you said that you dont think that random stranger should be sent full on death threats and doxxed for their iffy artwork? Why do you support racism" how about we all go outside and interact with real people and see how they react when you say things like that!

hi. go buy esims for gaza. go preorder a kufiya from hirbawi. buy insulin for palestinian diabetics who need that help. if you live in the states use this to email your reps (this takes maybe 5 seconds to do). check out this massive list of resources where you can educate yourself in a meaningful and actionable way even if you don't have the financial means right now. from the river to the sea palestine will be free. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

The situation grows more dire every day. A 6 year old attempts suicide and succeeds. Toddlers with suicidal ideation. Less food and less water coming through every day. A horrific genocide created by the West for my people. I will never forgive and I will never forget.
