ladies, gentlemen, and all gender noncomforming baddies, all good things best come to an end.
like my time at famed.
after three lovely years with this group, i’ve decided to step away from the rp for now. it’s something i haven’t been motivated to keep up with for a long time now, and will be sending my official drop request after i post this.
in light of my three year anniversary at the beginning of the month, i’d like to say a big thank you to those of you i’ve met along the way. also to beth for creating and running this lovely place. i enjoyed being a part of famed (both version 1.0 and 2.0), and will continue to greatly miss yoona, aidynn, jaeyeol, kyubok, and now maverick. i joined a week before i turned 18 and now i just turned 21 and i’ve met so many amazing people along the way that i couldn’t be more grateful to have in my life.
maybe i’ll get fomo and pop back in in like a month or two, maybe more like a year, or maybe not at all but i’d never fully rule out a return to famed. either way, if you’d like to keep in touch please feel free to ask for my discord or twitter (you can see all my bs genshin nonsense).
until then, byyyyyyye.

when maverick ha heard that there would be an art gallery at the gala, they had gotten excited. it had been a long time since they had had the opportunity to visit a gallery on their own time, so this was a great excuse to take some time away from the large crowds to observe everything on display. quietly they walked along with their hands in their pockets, pausing at pieces they found personally interesting to read the tags with them or just observe a particular piece longer in hopes of making sense of it, before moving along.
the last thing they expected was for someone to appear next to them as they once again paused in front of a painting. let alone did they expect the person to be jeonghwa. they took in her comment and looked at the painting. “i can’t say i do,” they chuckled, amused with the observation. “but i assume you do? that’s a very unique interpretation of this,” they giggled.
while jeonghwa liked to almost always bring someone along with her on outings where she wasn’t sure yet where she wanted to go, when she knew she’d be going to a function with many other people, sometimes it was fun to be by herself, because it meant she could look out at the expanse of people, and choose someone new to start a conversation with. sometimes it could end in another person she could call when she did want company, especially as it came to other people in the entertainment industry. others it meant having a good time with someone she’d never speak to again, and forget the name of in a week. either way, her social battery would be filled, so either way, she won.
alone in the gallery, and a little bored of being alone, jeonghwa took a look at her pickings, and chose maverick. she sidled up next to them looking over a painting, and made the first move. “don’t you think that woman’s face kinda looks like a butt from this distance?”

after five years together, the two of them maybe had gotten a bit too comfortable with their sneaking abilities. yet, that hadn’t stopped them from sneaking off to a restroom together. it had been a long time since they had made any attempts to deny each other’s wants or feelings and as of late, that had extended to when they were technically working. it would be difficult for kai to say no when duri looked the way he did that evening. the two of them hadn’t consulted each other in their outfit choices, but here they were, both with questionable amounts of fabric covering them both.
there was a moment of anxiety that spiked within kai when duri took ahold of their hand, but it was only momentarily. they’d be fine, momentarily at least. hopefully. the pair held hands many times in front of others under the guise of something friendly, just affectionate friends. if they were honest, kai sometimes wondered what life would be like if someone had caught them, if their long kept secret was exposed for everyone to see. more than likely, it wouldn’t be pretty, and it was hard to say how they would fair on the otherwise.
“you’re too cute,” kai smiled, taking a moment to press a quick kiss to duri’s cheek. this was nice, they couldn’t argue that. this was great. a moment of peace and quiet with their love. they almost felt like a normal couple. “hmm, i don’t know,”  they pondered, glancing around, “i’m sure we can walk around and find some if they do though! we’ve got plenty of time!”
@fmdmaverick:
it was a bit risky, to have done what they just did - again. it was something that seemed to happen at events, where duri and kai decided to well, do a little something risky - the details can be spared. but, they couldn’t help themselves, could they? duri especially couldn’t help himself with the way kai looked that evening at all. it was like he had purposely teased him in someway by going with a see-through button-up shirt. though, to be fair, duri wasn’t any better, as it was only about two or three buttons till he was basically shirtless himself. nonetheless, the two were a bit wild, and would tend to get away with it.
when the two had come upon the central garden, where they’d be spending some time together, duri was sure to take a hold of kai’s hand now. truth be told, it was big enough that no one would actually catch them holding hands. but, even then, they’d simply be able to play it off as just being friends because a lot of friends held hands, right? plus, what if someone got lost among the flowers and the plants? it was possible! at least, that’s what duri told himself. but, the two should simply be good to hold hands throughout the garden. it didn’t seem all that popular of a spot, anyways.
“ah, this is so nice,” duri says, giggling happily. he leaned just a bit into maverick, his smile wide upon his features. “what we just did was also really nice,” he says, as well, giggling a bunch to himself as he thought about it. it was always a fun time finding a way to spice things up, wasn’t it? but, for now, it was time to be all lovey dovey and clingy, as duri would tend to be. “do you think they have lavender around here?” he asked, a bit curious. lavender is one of duri’s favorite flowers. this was something calming just being around lavender, not to mention it being one of his favorite scents as well.

maverick aesthetic | among the stars
maverick has been known as a rather fashionable person since titan debuted a decade ago. when given the green light to push the boundaries some with their outfit, they knew they had wanted to wear a sheer top. they’d been shirtless on stage plenty of times throughout their career, being exposed at a gala wouldn’t be a big deal. their abs were still mostly intact after the holiday seasons. the rest of the outfit was simple: fitted black slacks, chunky shoes, simple jewelry, black nails, black hair. there was no doubt that they looked stunning at the gala. even if they’d be the most exposed person there, at least they looked good.

at this point in their life, most of the time maverick got to drink tended to be socially and with friends. sure they enjoyed a nice glass of wine on their on, in their own home, but duri didn’t drink and so they tended to opt for just water or tea instead. so far, they had only had a glass of red wine, and were two sips into their second. maverick was far from tipsy, let alone drunk, and were just enjoying the atmosphere and entertaining the younger.
maverick giggled as sung clung to their some, arm around their neck and now hand touching their cheek. the giggles only continued at the question of who their dermatologist was. they would have provided an answer, honestly. both of their doctor and the lovely lady they went to for facials every few weeks when they found a moment. but the sudden probe of plastic surgery caught them off guard.
“do you think i’ve had botox?” if joosung wasn’t clearly intoxicated, they might have been offended by the statement. did they look like they had botox injections done? or maybe they wouldn’t have. though they were also still in their late 20s, and as people love to say “asian don’t raisin” and they were far off the need for any wrinkle assistance. instead they couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “i’m 27 years old choi joosung! i’ve never any work done, let alone botox!”
sung had yet to figure out what his ‘comfortable drinking level’ was supposed to be. when he’d hosted house parties earlier in the year, he often opted for non-alcoholic beverages in order to not be the only one blackout drunk in a party of people buzzed at most. on other occasions, he didn’t care. going into this gala, sung had mapped out a point of time for him to drink, after he’d made sure to tend to his responsibilities and make nice with everyone necessary.
it was a comfort to turn to when the gala became more quiet, and his thoughts overran with all that ached, pained, ripped his soul out. somewhere along the way, he’d come across mav. sweet mav, beautiful mav. he wished he could ask them to sing him to sleep.
his arm slung around mav’s neck, smile etched onto his face, within this minute, he felt good. his free hand came up to stroke mav’s cheek, then cup their chin, thoughts of bacterial crossing left before he’d drank a thing. “your skin is so nice. who do you see?” maintenance when your fame relied on your looks was so… gosh, he hated his looks. why did this matter to him so? his eyes opened doe-eyed further as he changed his questioning, “how often do you get botox?”

"sometimes, it's better to forget than to remember."
famed sentence starter meme: accepting!
their head titled, a curious expression taking over their features as they observed the younger perched on a bar stool, drink in front of them. all over a game of skeeball. or multiple, in which it sounded like duri continuously beat the other in. judging by the sentiment of “sometimes, it’s better to forget than to remember,” that andy had muttered, they clearly took the losses hard. not in a way that the other seemed genuinely upset, but rather just someone who is quite competitive needing to be sulky and whiny when they lose before they get over it.
if they get over it.
“how many games did you lose exactly to feel this way?” mavericked asked, trying to hold their laughter in and not show their obvious amusement at andy’s “pain” and “suffering” from their loses. “did you end up winning at all?” if it was this bad maybe they’d have to play andy and let them win a few times.

minhee.
“maverick!” their name escaped though minhee’s clenched teeth like a hiss. it almost sounded like a scold, a very unfamiliar type of tone to minhee’s tongue. she leaned over the table, the rim of her wine glass pressing into her sternum. for a moment, she looked deadly serious, but as soon as she deemed herself close enough, minhee smiled and shook her head. “don’t say that too loud, we might get kicked out.” unlikely, considering they were paying customers – and paying celebrity customers at that – but still, wouldn’t it be embarrassing for them to be exposed as simple wine enjoyers instead of the wine connoisseurs that she assumed everyone here thought they were.
“but truthfully, me neither,” she admitted, sitting back in her seat and forced herself to take a sip instead of another gulp. “oh, do you think they’ll give us some kind of palate cleanser? i looked it up before we came, and apparently the done thing is to eat bread and wash it down with water.”
there was a moment of their stress levels heightening drastically, concerned with with what they had done to make minhee so serious. the stress dissipated hearing what had her so focused and determined in what she was saying to them, a small chuckle escaped their lips but they tried to match the level of seriousness of this situation. “my apologizes, i’ll keep my voice down.” honestly, maverick highly doubted anyone would be kicking them out solely because they were regular customers and not connoisseurs, but still it was an amusing movement.
“oh! i imagine they will!” it would make a lot of sense that this fancy place would would offer something as simple as a palette cleanser to help with the enjoyment of their products. “it’d be a bit odd if they didn’t have read or something for those purposes?”

joosung.
“do those actually work?” his face had scrunched in, but nonetheless he opened up his phone and tapped open the calendar. “maybe it’s just me, but every time i’ve tried to use reminder stuff on it, it won’t show up, or it’ll show up really late, or you know, something like that. it’s super weird.” sung set up a reminder, but before finishing it, scooted closer to mav, and held the screen between them, “does this look right? maybe i’m just doing something wrong here.”
maverick’s words unlocked a thought, and like a lightbulb over his head, sung physically brightened. “actually, i have a theory about that. i don’t know much of the science side of why time is hard to tell sometimes, but from my experience, i think it feels really slow when we’re thinking about it, and when we’re not, which is a lot of the day even when it doesn’t feel like it, that time goes by fast. so then, you know when you’re in bed and you’re like, ‘this number of days left,’ it feels like the day went quickly because you’re right back to slowing down to think of the thing again.”
”i’ve never had an issue!” maverick tired to reassure, though it was strange that the other seemed to have issues with his reminder system. as joosung typed in the information, they leaned over to look over their shoulder, observing the screen, making sure he had the right time as well. the problem was quite obvious as their eyes scanned the information. “everything is right, except...” they reached over and tapped the notification portion that currently said never, “this. how far in advance do you want reminded?”
the theory that joosung had was interesting. maverick had never been one to sit back down and consider things like the way time passed. “that makes sense,” they pondered out loud. “i’m not sure why but it reminded me of being aware of your breathing? and not letting it be the automatic process it was meant to be, if that makes sense?”

“Will you keep me company?”
famed sentence starter meme: accepting!
"of course!" maverick's smile was large. it was a rarity for ash to ask them to hang out, at least nowadays. there was once a point in time when they were closer and spent more time together than they did in the present time, having bonded over being two foreigners in the small group. if the younger was asking, they'd happily accept. the last time the pair had spent anytime together outside of required activities in relation to titan or something bc had thrusted them into wasn't something they were able to readily recall. really, the only titan member they spent significant time with was duri. of course, the pair had been together for close to five years, it’d be concerning if they didn’t spent that much time together.
while they were glad to spend some time with the other, there was also an immediate thought that crossed their mind with the inquiry. "is everything alright? are you okay?" even if there was something bothering ash, it was tough to say whether he would admit to that or not, but it was worth a shot. “i don’t mean to pry or anything, i promise,” they quickly assured. “but you’re always free to talk if you feel the need to do so.”

“Well, it’s certainly not your best look.”
famed sentence starter meme: accepting!
the blonde and black extensions were....interesting...in the best way possible of course. at least that is what maverick told the stylists when they presented the idea to them upon going to get a routine trim at their usual salon. some wild idea based on them rarely doing anything particularly fun or wild with it nowadays. they'd done the long hair thing before, many years ago, having spent the first few years of titan's rookie years with flowing locks of their own before deciding to chop it all off in early 2014 after being tired of managing it and wanting something new. their hair had varied in length and color since then but it hadn't gotten anywhere near the point of touching their shoulders, let alone to the length it use to be.
"are they really that bad?" maverick asked mirae as they looked into their phone screen, camera app open as they observed their new hair style and color. "i'm not use to the two-toned thing, either. let alone long hair anymore...maybe i just need to adjust?" they sounded so hopeful as they took their eyes away from the screen and back to the other. "well...maybe we all need a short adjustment to this? i think it could grow on me..." the last bit had come out as more a question than they intended it to.

“Do you have an umbrella?”
famed sentence starter meme: accepting!
"an umbrella?" they questioned as if they were asking themself as well, racking their brain for the last place they had placed one of their umbrellas recently (sometimes it was a toss up if they had placed one of them back in their car for moments like today). it was a beautiful day in seoul, even if it was unexpectedly rainy. the downfall of water from the skies above still wasn't able to convince maverick that the day was immediately terrible and it's beauty ruined. the water wasn’t horrendously cold yet and the humidity was bearable.
after a few moments, the older provided an answer to haru. "yes! i believe i should have an umbrella or two in the trunk of my car! you’re welcome to borrow it and return it whenever!" mav explained enthusiastically to the other. "i can check when we leave? or i could potentially give you a ride if you need to go somewhere and don't wanna venture out in the rain?" it was handy that the parking garage was connect to the building for moments like these. "i really wouldn't mind! the last thing i would want is for you to be out and about in the rain and get sick or something."

admittedly, maverick had ended up going to the fancier establishments ever since they were young. their parents were obsessed with image and status, and having the finer things in life. honestly, they didn’t care whether the places they ate or drank out were considered fancy or high end, as long as the service and good was good.
minhee was one of their closest friends, and they were just excited to have her out with them for a bit. she was kind and wonderful, in maverick’s not so humble opinion. they always thought quite highly of their friends admittedly.
“i agree!” this was just a great start to a relaxing day with people they enjoyed. the first choice of wine was also excellent. maverick giggled, nodding in agreement, giving it a sniff of their own. “it tastes good, I’m not super concerned about the smell.”
fmdmaverick:
honestly, maverick had been to jeju island so many times over their course of living in south korea but also visiting in the many years of their life prior to officially more countries, they’d done many of the activities that were offered more than once, and knew what they liked. though, when looking for activities to fill their short retreat and they stumbled across the winery, they knew that was one of the first places they needed to find a friend to visit with them. a perfect way to relax, try some new wine, and catch up with a friend they didn’t get to spend tons of time with otherwise due to both of their schedules being rather busy.
“it is!” maverick agreed with the assessment, having noticed the decor in photos online while looking more into the place. they weren’t someone who demanded luxury or fancy restaurants, not growing up nor as someone who could be considered rather famous and wealthy and had access to what others would claim were the finer things in life. this place was gorgeous though, it was hard to deny. “you were at the top of my invitation list!” they assured. “you were the only one, really. i knew you’d love it.”
ever since maverick had started officially dating their boyfriend, they had started drinking less. not because duri had any issue with them enjoying alcohol, but the other didn’t drink, and they had just naturally shifted to drinking more water when with him. this was a great opportunity to enjoy some of their personal favorites that they otherwise would have enjoyed curled up on the couch, on their own. “cheers!” maverick held their own wine class up before taking a sip of the liquid contents. “it’s been a a while since i’ve gotten to enjoy some wine, this is a perfect start.”
“mhm, as i do!” and she really, really did. minhee tended to be sort of on the dippy side of things, especially when drinking. this was a nice change of pace to how she usually drank – so, even if she did feel like they were being sort of cheated by the ratio of price being paid to millilitres of wine in the glass, it was probably a good thing. the event could end up simultaneously being a classy night out and exercise in self control.
and if she preened at the idea of being at the top of someone’s list for something, then that was her own business. in lily, she never really felt like she was the best at anything – main dancer, lead vocal, rapper: that was lily’s maknae minnie. but hyeju was a better vocalist than her, and there was always going to be someone else that the company thought was at least on par of a dancer to her … though she’d guess they thought that lily’s other main dancer was better. even if minhee got more time in the center of their uneven triangle or diamond shaped formations, they landed more dance breaks.
hwang minhee was a legend, and she knew it, but she wasn’t ignorant to the fact that her position as the most touchable member of lily didn’t originate from an inherent inability to ever meet the same standard as the others.
“absolutely! this one’s so nice.” minhee’s first drink took half the contents of the glass down her throat, and in light of that, she committed to holding it in her hand and wafting it beneath her nose for a little while, the way wine snobs do on tv. “i think i’m meant to do this before i drink it but … it doesn’t smell any different to me, so i think it’s okay.”
