Israel has killed more children in Gaza since October than in four years of worldwide conflict

Seeing footage of the aftermath of the flour massacre in Gaza is so painful
"Where is my daughter? Tell her I don't want flour anymore"
"My brother was shot holding a bag of flour. He kept holding on to it so they kept shooting him"
"Why does flour have to be stained with blood?"
Over 100 have been killed. Every single one of them hungry. Every single one of them has someone waiting for them to come back with the bag of flour.
Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war against innocent civilians. Israel ambushes starving Palestinians and shoots them. Israel is not fighting a war to defend itself. This is another episode of Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza.

“Israel is committing genocide.” Yes. They are. But so is the US. The US is 100% complicit in this, and Israel would not have been able to do as much without the help of the US. I’m disgusted to be living in a country that is complicit in the literal MURDER of civilians. Men, women, children, elderly, families. All dead because of Israel AND the US. This needs to STOP.

if you want me to consume a new media you MUST catch me at the exact moment when the stars are aligned and the air pressure is equal to the current degree of the sun’s peak against the horizon and all the cosmic energies are perfectly unified (aka my old interest is fading out) or i will nod and say “im adding that to my list!” Knowing theres no chance i will check it out

where did all you western anti-work ‘socialists’ come from anyway. you want the ‘to each according to their need’ and forgot the ‘from each according to their ability’. “I do not dream of labour” ok, but you do dream of living well. so what you really want is someone else to labour for you, which makes you indistinguishable from any bourgeois capitalist you claim to despise. the consumerist-oriented ‘fully automated luxury space communism’ bullshit has truly rotted people’s brains. you want all the trappings of excess but you want the brunt of creation of that excess to be on someone else. well congratulations, you already live in an imperialist society. you have that. someone else is already harvesting your vegetables, sewing your clothes, mining the cobalt for your electronics. all you want is more, easier access to those things.
I get it on some level, especially as someone who has worked alienating, minimum wage jobs in which I have absolutely no stake other than the necessity of getting money to pay rent. but it’s not the work. it’s the capitalism. I do not dream of labouring to the benefit of a boss who steals my own time from me, or to pay for the militarism of my government, or even to contribute to a hypothetical pension for a hypothetical retirement. but I do dream, intensely, of labour: labour that won’t kill me, and contributes meaningfully to a society I am proud of; a society not driven by profit for a few, that exists to meet the needs of everyone around me. we do not live in that society. but if we want to make it, labour will exist, and not just menial physical labour but an extraordinary amount of mental and social labour, almost none of which will ever be replaced by automation, and that is not a bad thing.

Over 50% of U.S. children under 6 have lead in their blood, says a new study — with children most at risk living in poverty, pre-1950s housing or living in Black or Latino communities.
Even small amounts of lead can damage the brain, nervous system and cognitive development.
Black children in the U.S. are 3x more likely to have high blood lead levels than white children.
An NRDC study found:
▪️ BIPOC communities 40% more likely to have unsafe water
▪️ Unsafe water ties to segregation/discrimination
▪️ 130M drank from unsafe water systems in 2016-19
The Flint water crisis exposed about 9,000 young children to lead after officials switched water supplies to cut costs.
7 years later:
▪️ Pipe replacement still not complete
▪️ Benton Harbor, another Black-majority MI city, has water lead levels up to 60x federal limit

Please for the love of god, do not to go the We Are Young festival. Its being held by Live Nation who held the AstroWorld concert last year. They want to have over 60+ bands plan in one day on only 3 stages. Half of the bands have said they weren’t even told or were reached out about the festival. Which means if you buy a ticket and if the band you want to see backs out you cant be refunded the ticket (which are being priced are over 200 just for general admission).
This festival is going to be a disaster and people are gonna get hurt.

i need people to understand that “save the bees” means saving the native pollinators that are actually in danger right now.
domestic honey bees are doing just fine, and in fact are out-competing native pollinators because they have human intervention giving them the leg up. meanwhile local pollinators are disappearing and with them a lot of the plants they co-evolved with will likely disappear too, along with every species that relies on those plants including us.
save your local wild bees, do that by planting native flowers, cutting out pesticides, and letting the dandelion/clover and other “weeds” grow. honey bees don’t need your help.
