I just randomly wanted to say that I’m so happy for James McCartney (for Sean as well of course, but I feel like it might mean a little more to James) that Primrose Hill gets so much attention. Today I was asked about the song by three different people who don’t keep up with Bealtes stuff at all and just know I do, so I think that really means something ☺️
Q: You are a great admirer of John Lennon, so if John were here today, which McCartney song would you like him to play?
Paul: That's a good question, I've never really thought about it. Maybe I'm Amazed just came into my mind. It would be interesting to hear him sing that.
Q: If you had to choose one unique song of yours to be remembered in the future, which one would it be?
Paul: That's too difficult a question, your songs are like your babies - you don't want to have a favourite. But Maybe I'm Amazed, if John was gonna sing it.
SG: Rock and roll bands had a reputation for being bad on the road, like tying groupies to bedposts and fucking them with a fish. But you guys were supposed to be celibate.
PMcC: You are kidding. No, not in the least bit celibate, we just didn’t do with fish. That’s all. I mean, tie ’em to the bed, we didn’t feel the need to. There were many, many, many, many wild oats sewn from the word go to the word finish.

SG: Can you think of anything else, Paul? I think you’ve been terrific PMcC: Oh, thanks … I often find that I talk, and I feel totally free and fine, and I see something in print, and I’d rather see than have somebody else see it. Particularly what I’ve said about John. There was a recent interview in Newsweek, where the chicks doing it took one of my quotes and slightly led it on—“Is it true what Paul said about that you’ve done everything except be yourself?” Which wasn’t what I said at all. I said, “John has never had a family. He had a family, a son and a wife, and never got to see them. And now, I think he realizes that he’s gotta look at it. And he’s enjoying it, and he’s totally got into a nice— That’s why I think he’s doing everything that he’s doing.” And of “course, John’s reply was like, “He doesn’t know zilch about what I’m doing, man. He’s just as curious as all the rest.” And I just don’t need— [tape ends abruptly]
