So the fandom is finally catching on to my-mt-heart. Good.

Whenever effusive praise is being lavished on someone, their word is taken as gospel, and disagreement isn’t tolerated and/or met with hostility by those doing the praising, it’s almost always a manipulator working out personal issues. Mt heart has her own little personality cult going.

It’s been proven she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She was once told “idk where you get your information, but this is not how it works” by someone whose family member works in the industry. The Daryl spin-off wouldn’t happen, Tales of TWD would be the most successful spin-off, and then no more than 6 episodes of Daryl would be made. Remember the claim about Carol’s voice being AI? And so on.

She and her collective wanted to “rebrand” the Caryl fandom into something that suited them—gatekeeping with a big dose of narcissism. Mt claimed she wanted all Carylers to have a voice, but she, and they, shut down dissent by turning off and deleting replies, allowing only a select few to speak. And there were more overt efforts, like basically telling those who criticized Norman to stfu, their opinions didn’t fit with the new fandom as they wanted it to be. “Tell your therapist and be the change you want to see.” 😭

All I can guess is that Carylers felt desperate after the spin-off was canceled, and were willing to look to anyone who said I can fix this. But that’s the person you always need to watch with a skeptical eye. This fandom is unusually susceptible to people who adopt strong personalities.

Mt heart’s obsession with protecting Melissa from her own career, as if she’s some kind of addled, naive, trembling dove doesn’t come from a healthy place. Of course sexism and misogyny are real, but the theme runs so heavily and constantly throughout mt’s posts that you have to wonder if it’s something personal being projected onto Melissa.

Now, on the basis of an unsubstantiated rumor, she’s whipping up Carylers to go fight another imaginary battle on Twitter. She rarely joins in with her own voice. Ever notice that? She wants others to do it. And as usual, she’s vague about how she knows anything.

Her tale now involves not one, but TWO Caryler showrunners. Does that seem like a bit of a stretch?

Here’s something I know to be factually, absolutely true—mt heart’s “sources” are random people on Twitter. She jumps into DMs pleading for information, asking if they know anything. She begged one of the worst Carol haters to tell what she knew, and had it thrown in her face.

She’s not being honest. She’s using Carylers.

Her ride-or-dies will fill her inbox with declarations of love for her selfless devotion to the fandom, but people are waking up and asking questions now.

Also, it shouldn’t be forgotten that mt heart defended a racist article on Twitter as “100% valid” because the writer was a woman, and when Black people objected, she sneered “unfollow me.” Very poor behavior by any measure.

Good on the folks starting to see through her. 🤝

Flashback to the day the spin-off news broke and a little insight from someone “in the industry”

She also deleted a tweet which cautioned against giving actors too much power and influence, but we’re supposed to believe JDM’s claim that actors have no leverage. Not even longtime leading men of once-blockbuster shows and the faces of the franchise going forward. These simple hired hands just happened to land spin-offs that will be filmed in their own backyards—in Reedus’s case, the place where his fiancée once stated she planned to raise her child.

I see some people are discovering today about Norman Reedus’ friendship with Marilyn Manson, along with his support for Johnny Depp, and that he is vanity searching his own name on twitter. 

 (Something he does all the time, a quick look at his likes tells you this. During all the controversy about the spin-off, he has MANY fans tagging him with support and begging for attention, but he ignored them and just was vanity searching his own name, blocking many)

I thought due to this it was time to post an unfinished post I have had in my drafts for over 8 years. I am embarrassed that I kept ignoring this stuff in order to support the ship but hopefully this will help others.

I cant bear to listen to Reedus. Did he really go after fans on Twitter? He blocked me :P (and he had followed me for years).

He totally bitched and whined about fans. He’s so mad, lol. This is a man who has a significant other, a little girl, an enormous fortune, and a career he has said he loves. Melissa, according to AMC, got pushed out of her own spin-off. But HE is upset because fans don’t pay him proper homage.

I transcribed that part of the interview and posted it a few minutes ago.

Here’s the transcript of the fandom-related part of Reedus’s interview, for anyone interested. It’s worth listening to, however, just to hear his tone.

Norman: I will be doing a spin off, it’s a different spin off than I thought I was going to do because Melissa wants a break.

Alex: Which is totally understandable that she wants a break!

Norman: 12 straight years.

Alex: Yeah!

Norman: And I get it and she deserves it. In the meantime I’m gonna go on a thing, I’m gonna see what happens over here. I’m sure those characters will come back together. There might be a world where a lot of characters will come back together, I don’t know. Those decisions are made in rooms I’m not invited into. It all coincides into one big soup.

Alex: (Blah blah about the fan base, ownership, personal and private life) Melissa is not Carol. You’re not Daryl.

Norman: It’s a thing to deal with. Do you know how many girlfriends I’ve had that have been threatened? Because I’m not with Beth or Carol in real life? It makes zero sense. It’s fucking bananas. And the social media thing—I thought it would be over by now. Why are we still doing this? Is it really fun? Not really. Do you know why are we doing it? I thought it would be done. It’s nice to reach out and hear from different people, but yeah .

Alex: It’s a mindfuck!

Norman: Oh, you eat a pie. Whatever.

Alex: People feeling like they have a right to your private life, and you want to reach out to your fans and you want to share, but you have a right to say there are only certain things I’m going to share. And it’s a balance that seems hard for a lot of people. Like I’m glad that you’re obsessed with my show, I love that you’re that passionate about my character, but remember I’m a human being!

Norman: It’s literally been 12 years. Here I am with a knife (gagging noise) pouring it all out for you. Like you’re literally, like it’s all right here on the table and you’re going to dissect it? And you’re going to throw it in the microwave and turn it into something else? Like what are you doing? So there’s a balance and there’s a bunch of assholes on the Internet. Seems like the assholes are the loudest and they try the hardest to be the assholes. I will say I know a lot of cool people. Cool people never go on the Internet and tell you you’re not cool. They don’t need to do that, you know. Pretty people don’t go on and tell people you’re ugly. It doesn’t work like that. So you can kind of raise a big ass hole flag, you know what I mean?

Alex: And lot of it stems from their insecurities and their fears and it’s easy to be braggadocious (sp). And it’s easy to be big-balled when you’re behind a screen and it’s the way it works. When you hate another person because of their sexuality or the color of their skin it’s because of a fear.

Norman: We all know what you’re doing, you know? We don’t care. We don’t want to hear it.

Alex: How do you have that balance though? You’ve had this incredibly long career, not only Walking Dead, you had Boondock Saints. I also loved you in Blade 2. So where do you find that balance of sharing with the fans but also keeping your own self?

Norman: There’s a mute button on there. There’s a mute button, and an unfollow button, and a block button, and I hit those buttons all the time. And then sometimes I don’t look. I really thought it would be over by now, I thought it was a fad, that we would be onto something else now. But to be honest with you I’m kind of bored with it. It’s kind of boring. I’d just rather meet people.

Alex: Like can we be over with it by now?

Norman: And look at your profile picture. That’s not your picture. I know that person. That’s not you. 2 billion people think they’re Selena Gomez. No you’re not. Stop it.
