Fortunately spoilers don't bother me at all, and I've been on this hellsite plenty long enough to get many spoilers skyway XD
I'm currently enjoying spoilers about the end of CR3-1 because I had to finish my stew and take care of kittens and go to bed.
Visited my mum and she suggested we watch some episodes of The Mandolorian.
And now I get to have two hyperfixations because campaign 3 starts tonight.
I'm going to try very hard to be good and not watch any episodes without her. She appreciated me explaining important cultural things though about the Mandolorians as it made Mando much more relatable to her.

When I finally upend my 5 gallon coin jar I'm going to specifically take a photo for you. :p I've been adding coins to that for at least 3 years and i am starting to have trouble lifting it.
just randomly remembering the time i was working as a bank teller and had to open a roll of quarters to make change and the customer tried to explain to me ‘the best way to open them’ like excuse me what

It was very sweet this morning waking up to Tumbleweed on the bed next to me.
But it also means the spacing on the pet gate I got to keep him in the bathroom is too large. Second time around he opened a mostly closed door and was not at all deterred by the cardboard blocking the other side of the gate and got out again in under 2 minutes. This is no Sundew, he of the none braincell, extra hair.
I have some things left to do to kitten proof the room which is why I can't have him roaming yet. So today, instead of relaxing, is going to involve driving around to find a gate he can't fit through. He needs more space than the crate, and I need time to get some things in the room taken care of.
Also going to need to braid my hair every night from now on, as he was playing with it and the sound of him chewing on it is what woke me.
The pitfalls of intelligent cats. At least he doesn't chew on power cords.

Sorry if this is the wrong blog but can you tell us more about your conlang, or where to find info on your conlang if you've explained it in the past? I'm very curious
I've posted some translations on this blog, but I've started putting up more of those on @sanavran so as to not clog up here.
Sanavran started as a boredom project. I was bored so I decided to make pretty words. This was back in 2009. Got about 300 words in, shared it with a friend, forgot about it for a decade.
Turn out that said friend then started voice acting in an audio drama @thecalloftheflame and asked in late 2018/early 2019 if they could use my conlang. I said sure! and that I would work on expanding the vocabulary. Poor director was working off that old list for months because I forgot to share the googledocs link. Oops!
Since early 2019 I've added over 3,000 words to the conlang, worked out the grammar much more fully, decided "this conlang says 'fuck gender!' ", and began looking for translation challenges in various conlanging groups to help with generating vocabulary. My first really large translation was from Critical Role, Der Katzenprinz.
Sanavran's purpose is to sound pretty or at least have an interesting mouth-feel when being spoken. It tends towards long words because of that. Grammar is not too dissimilar from english, so a native english speaker would probably pick it up quite easily though the inflecting verbs might trip people up.

1- I love being able to utilize my conlang in these situations. 2- I’m extremely pleased that I didn’t have to look up a single word in that sentence. 3- Here’s a bot/spammer for you all to block.

#Stan really enjoyed it too #Artemis ate some but wasn't super impressed #eris took 1 bite and blamed me #lazuli took one bite and slowly spat it out on the ground #a la a dog that accepted a treat it realized was broccoli only after taking it #broke his damn brain
You can’t leave their individual reactions hiding in the tags!
Took a pita and some hummus out to eat while I watched my birds run around, and Joslin snuck up behind me and managed to grab the biggest faceful of hummus ever, which she did not enjoy at all except she thought about it some more and decided yes that is a repeatable offense and tried again. I ended up eating my pita really fast and then letting all the babies have a taste of the hummus.
You know, letting the peachicks have some chickpeas.

Being an Older Millennial, I count myself beyond fortunate that my middle school offered a huge variety of interesting electives. We had ceramics and band, of course, but in my ceramics class we had a raku kiln which is a fascinating process. We had woodworking and metalshop - I learned how to cast metal, weld, draft and do some blacksmithing. We had an "outdoor survival" class that culminated in a 2 day backpacking trip wherein we learned how to read maps, navigate by compass, and perform basic first aid. We had a general crafts class that taught braiding and sewing and leatherwork (carving, stamping, dying) and some ceramics and woodworking.
These are skills that I *use*. They are useful. And it's a damn travesty we lost them in favor of More Tests.
By the way, the way that No Child Left Behind impacts the trade worker shortage in the US is because in about 2002 shop classes, home ec classes, auto classes, etc, had their funding diverted into teaching kids how to pass standardized tests so that the schools could continue to pay teachers and keep the library open.
It's hard to figure out that you might be interested in plumbing as a career when you've spent twelve years learning how to pass multiple choice tests and having ceramics and band as the only available electives.
This is one place where I actually WILL do the generational thing and say that Millennials and Gen Z got completely fucked in a way that older generations didn't.
It's actually really fucking hard to repair a cabinet when you've never had a shop class. It's really goddamned difficult to learn everything about car maintenance on your own through youtube videos instead of in a semester of auto shop. It's really goddamned difficult to figure out you want to be a plumber or an electrician or a welder when you are eighteen years old, have been taught to pass tests and cajoled into applying for college, and you've never handled an air compressor or used a socket wrench.
