no one ever talks about the aftermath of luke’s betrayal. the reason it was so goddamn hurtful was because of who he was to everyone. it’s canon he’s the oldest if not one of the oldest demigods— everyone looks up to him. but just imagine his siblings. they practically spend all their time together ?? they think, “how did i not see it?” yes, luke was different than before his quest but this is luke we’re talking about. sweet luke castellan who always greets demigods with open arms, who is always there for you whenever you need anything, whose first response is to help.

but he’s so bitter and angry at the gods, at his dad. he’s everything you’d look for in someone, but if you keep swallowing your hurt, it eventually turns into anger because it’s easier than admitting you’re hurt.
