New Video: ELARA HAD A BLOCKAGE (ON NEW YEARS DAY)

In today's video, I go over what happened on New Years Day when Elara (my 3 year old ferret) had a blockage. 

DISCLAIMER: This video is a retelling of how I handled an emergency situation with one of my ferrets. I know there will be people who watch this video and disagree with how I handled the situation. That's fine. We all handle situations differently depending on dozens of factors. HAVING SAID THAT, this video is NOT meant as a fail safe guide for every ferret owner to use in an emergency situation or as a substitute for veterinary care. Though I share information, this video is not intended to be a guide. The intentions of this video is to educate people on the reality of emergency situations while opening discussions that help to destigmatize them. You ARE NOT a bad ferret owner if you end up in an emergency situation. Emergency situations are a GUARANTEE for any ferret owner, and if you're planning to or do own ferrets, there will come a time that you are put into one. Please do your research and be prepared.

Hi Kenya! I'm a big fan of your YouTube channel, what wet food do you recomend for ferrets?

It's really hard to say because it entirely depends on where you live and what's available to you.

Near me I really like the Ziwi Peak wet cat food and Tiki Cat After Dark (ignoring the fish recipes for both of those). BUT because I don't feed my ferrets a wet food, I don't spend too much time shopping around for brands so there are lots that I'm not aware of.

Check out my playlist of the guidelines you should be looking for with commercial foods because I go over the basics.

I'll have a more detailed guide of commercial foods for ferrets once serotonin starts pumping through my brain more regularly again.

Hello! Once every few days one of my ferrets will have a random sneezing fit in the middle of the night and it scares the life out of me. He seems to be alright by the time I check on him and I'm wondering if this is normal. He doesn't display any symptoms of being sick and acts like a normal ferret when he's awake during free roam time.

Ferrets have really sensitive respiratory systems, so my bet is that something is bothering their little noses. It could be a bunch of different things: the room is dusty, the air’s too dry, the air’s too moist, a specific scent is bothering him. In my experience, scents are the things that trigger sneezing fits the most. Make sure you aren’t using scented detergent for any bedding you use and that there aren’t any scented candles, air fresheners, or any other scented products around him. All ferrets react differently and some are more sensitive than others.

Luna was prone to sneezing fits just like that when it got too dusty in my room, so I have a weekly cleaning routine to keep up with dust. Ferrets are always low to the ground, so any dirt/dust that’s sticking to it will get sucked right up into their snoots.

Hopefully that helps! I know, from personal experience, how scary those sneezing fits can be </3

New Video: “REACTING TO A POPULAR CHANNEL THAT I’M SCARED TO NAME FOR COPYRIGHT REASONS”

This video got claimed the first time I tried to upload it so it might get taken down again BUT I'M WILLING TO ROLL THE DICE BECUASE IT'S FUNNY (and I worked on it for 2 weeks). ANYWAY today we're reacting to a popular youtube channel that I'm scared to write the name of in my title and description but you'll figure it out pretty quickly I'm sure.

SAFETY WARNING: Most of the crafts that these channels create are unsafe for ferrets (and lots of them are unsafe for pets in general). I wouldn't recommend any of the crafts I recreate as they all have safety issues. I didn't give any of these things to my ferrets after making this video and I don't plan on it, so please DON'T recreate these for your ferrets!
