hey! I've been a fan of your work for a while and I literally (today) opened an account for myself and posted, but I'm still very new to the whole tumblr thing... could you explain to me how you managed to get exposure to your work? thank you! ♡

first of all thank you for reading my work!! second of all i don’t really know how i managed to get exposure to my work if i’m being honest haha.. 😅😅it kinda just happened gradually! 

some tips i’d recommend using a lot of the tags and tagging accordingly to whatever you’re posting (ie. [member] fluff or [member] angst), also joining networks is a really good way to get your works around! also it’s good to remember that not everything blows up overnight (unless you’re wishing for a miracle) and that notes don’t count as how good your writing is! there are people who also ghost read so really you never know the amount of people who have seen your work :P

you didn’t really realize how long, or quick in this situation it was for your boyfriend, jeno, to fall asleep.

it was his first night off after consecutive hours of nonstop work so he decided to spend it with you,. little did he know how hard if was for you to fall asleep.

you already woke him up once so you decided to wait until he fell back asleep to wiggle out of his arms and just lay next to him in bed. you let out a quiet sigh as you stare directly at your ceiling. a blank canvas. there’d be nothing to keep you awake if you continued to stare at it you thought.

but after minutes upon minutes of time passing by you knew it wasn’t going to help. sitting up from your spot in bed you let out another sigh and bury your head in your hands.

“why.. is it so difficult for me? yet so easy for you?” you whisper, careful not to wake your boyfriend next to you.

“y/n?” he mumbles, “are you still awake?”

you felt your heart sink a little once you heard him speak. the last thing you wanted was to keep jeno awake with whatever you had going on.

“did i wake you again? i’m sorry. i’ll try not to next time. you should go back to bed, you need rest.”

“yeah? well so do you.” he replies, “whats up? anything bothering you? or you just cant sleep?”

“just can’t sleep.”

jeno gives you a warm smile before sitting up and throwing the covers off of himself. “cmon then. lets go for a drive.”

“right now? it’s four am.”

“okay and? we’re not doing anything. we can just drive around the city and look at the lights. maybe even some stars if we’re lucky.”

“it’s fine.”

jeno sighs. “y/n c’mon. i know you’ll be up for another hour or two. this’ll help. i promise.”

“and if it doesn’t?”

“then you can pick what we do tomorrow morning.. or afternoon. does that sound like a deal?”

“okay.”

it turns out that jeno was right. why wouldn’t he be? he knew that you liked car rides and that they helped you clear your mind and drain most, if not all, of your unneeded energy. so when he noticed that you started feeling a lot better 10 minutes into your car drive he couldn’t help but smile to himself.

“no chance! no way! i won’t say it no! no!” you belt.

currently you and your best friend, lee donghyuck, were having a disney movie marathon, which meant a lot of singing would be involved.

“it’s too cliche, i won’t say i’m in love!” you sing as donghyuck cheered you on.

“you know.. you’d make a great megara.” he compliments.

“you think so?” you ask, breaking character for a second.

“yeah? she’s stubborn just like you.” he snorts. 

“hey!” you exclaim.

“whaaat? the muses were trying to tell her but her stubborn ass didn’t want to admit it.”

“she can do whatever she wants.” you huff. “maybe she just didn’t want to admit it because she didn’t want to believe it either. feelings are confusing and if she didn’t want to say and just pine over hercules instead that’s completely understandable.”

“y/n.. you know they got together in the end, right?” he asks.

“i- uh. spoilers!” you gasp.

“don’t act like you haven’t seen this movie before!” he yells. 

“no chance! no way! i won’t say it, no! no!” you continue to sing.

“hey!” he shouts. “don’t ignore me!” 

“sorry i can’t hear you i’m too busy being megara.” you snort.

“if you’re megara then i’ll be hercules.” he comments, picking you up by your waist from the couch. “see look, i’m strong too!”

“hey!” you whine. “put me down!!”

“girl don’t be proud, it’s okay you’re in love.” he teases, placing you down.

“excuse you but hercules isn’t in this scene, thank you very much!” you scoff.

“oh c’mon! give me a break! the song is about him!” he exclaims, taking a seat next to you.

“yeah, well he’s not in it! sucks to be hercules!”

“ugh fine.” he scoffs, rolling his eyes. “you win this round.” he says wrapping an arm around you, causing you to snuggle closer to him.

“do you think i’d actually make a good megara?” you ask.

“well. yeah.” he says nonchalantly. “your voice fits her really well. why?”

“ah. no reason.” you respond. “let’s get back to watching the movie yeah?”
