honestly in general... defend people even if you hate them. if someone's lying about them in order to fuck them up... defend them. if someone is using systemic bigotry against someone, defend them. even if you hate them. dont normalize these types of attacks. if you make it a point to only do this for trans girls they will just try to ungirl every tgirl you meet. dont stand for this behavior. cruelty and lying isnt bad because of who it happens to, its bad because it sucks. if you defend that girl because shes a girl and "she isnt actually that so" then you are going to force more girls to preform more than they are comfortable and desire, youre telling girls who do fit those criteria they deserve those horrors, youre pushing people into silence all the same. defend people who are being unjustly treated. even if you hate them. even if you will be hated.

I’d care way more about romance in books or movies if the HUMAN couple had the same energy as WALL·E and eve… that’s genuinely what I want

OR OR OR
Dorothy straight up has no idea that Clark and Superman are the same person. She thinks they’re from the same world. Screw aliens, krypton must be some fae world that got destroyed. In this universe she’s like those tinfoil hat ladies but the opposite direction- she simply does not believe aliens are anything other than very powerful fae creatures. To be respectful whenever Clark comes to visit, she hides her emerald city trinkets (the emeralds look too much like kryptonite and she’s seen what that can do to Superman and she doesn’t want clark to get sick in her home). Clark also thinks Dorothy must be non human or something but he doesn’t want to be rude
I’m on the 9th wizard of Oz book (there’s 14 by the original author and then a bunch more- my box set came with 15) and I’ve decided that even though you would need to tweak stuff because the timelines don’t match up at all, Dorothy and Clark Kent should be friends. Am I only basing this off of both of them being from Kansas? Yes. Move on
Anyway if we ignore the timeline and decide to keep Dorothy as young as she is in the books- I think it would be super cute if the Kents helped out uncle Henry and aunt Em from time to time. They were canonically struggling financially and uncle Henry had issues with his health so maybe the Kents would offer to babysit Dorothy or maybe they’d bring them a pie for Dorothy’s birthday. I’d love to imagine a teenage Clark freaking out because he thinks Dorothy knows about his super powers and hoping he didn’t scare her and meanwhile she’s telling her aunt and uncle that she’s absolutely sure that Clark is a fae. And assuming this is before they realize she’s telling the truth about Oz, they’re probably really concerned that she
A. Thinks that nice farm boy is magic. B. Wants to ask the Kents if she can keep their scarecrows hat cuz she wants to give it to her friend as a gift.
I also really like the idea of staying in the same timeline (but ignoring the fact that Dorothy and her aunt and uncle canonically go live in Oz and straight up disappear from Kansas- let’s pretend they stay in their house) and Dorothy is now an adult. Everyone thinks she’s weird because she’s always disappearing for months and coming back with wild stories about fairies and new worlds. And she’s seen Clark grow up and is convinced that he’s a fae from another world that got lost like she did but found a home with the Kents. She’s seen him do all this super powered stuff but she’s not going to say anything because she knows he doesn’t want anyone to know and she’s protective of him. You just know the next time she’s in Oz she’s asking ozma about it. Are their fairies this powerful? Is he a wizard? Is he from some other world that she’s been to? He could be like polychrome the rainbow girl who comes from the sky, but she doesn’t have super strength? Maybe she goes to Glinda and tries to figure out what world he could be from but then after they don’t find anything she decides to just not look anymore because he seems so happy with his family. I’d like to think that she a few years after he moved to the city, she sees Superman in the news paper and gets really happy that he’s using his alleged magic to help people

“vampirism is too romanticized these days” damn that’s crazy. I’m romanticizing it even more now though because you’re whining like this

Finally watched Lisa Frankenstein and here are my thoughts:
1. Felt like old school Tim Burton, I kept thinking it somehow reminded me of Edward scissorhands for some reason (i think it was how the suburb was filmed)
2- LOVE the silent film style scene and I wish there was more of that. I think if the second half of the movie had another scene like that it would have felt more cohesive maybe
3- what happened to the random killer??? I kept thinking he was going to come back and it never really mattered???
4- do you know how hard you have to try to get me to hate Carla Gugino? She was the worst but I do think it was very sweet how her daughter was genuinely kind and not just a classic evil cheerleader
