“Hey Judy, I’d just like to say I’m sorry for the way I behaved in my youth. I had a lot of self-doubt, and it manifested itself in the form of unchecked rage and aggression. I was a major jerk.” ~ Gideon

Ya boi Emery (das me) actually got a new damn deck and it’s not an aqua force deck or a paladin deck.
I mean it’s still pretty boys but w/e
My new deck much to many of my friends surprise is actually bladewing! As a rush deck player, it’s a bit weird and out if style for me but I actually really like the different way of thinking. So a lot of these games were more or less testing the deck out since I’m still new to DI but I learned some good tricks and ways to improve my deck uwu
Round 1: bladewings vs Ott
I actually think I could have won this one if I was more experienced with bladewings. The first game he hit quite a few early crits on me, which caused me to lose steam rather quickly. Second game I managed to pull in some really well timed enigmatic assassin/one steeped in sin turns which netted me the win before he got his hand advantage to quickly. The third game was close but came down to the Ott gb8 and its ability to stack triggers. If I had been more aggressive early and managed my soul better I think the game would have gone in my favor, but eh you win some you learn some.
Score:0-1
Round 2: bladewings vs darkface
Now, this is a tough matchup for a lot of decks. But for someone who only runs 5 grade 3s it’s really rough. First game I got gradelocked bad and was unable to pick it back up. The second game went a bit better, but the megacolony g guards that rests units totally cucks my enigmatic assassin turns so I was just unable to make effective turns. While I am inexperienced with the deck I think it would have been a hard matchup anyway so I’m not too worried about it. Something to work at for sure.
Score: 0-2
Round 3: bladewings vs narukami
I wasn’t sure what to think about this one going into it. Usually, I have issues with naru bc I play field presence decks, but this time it was a bit different. While he had more field I was able to utilize Sullivan along with taking advantage of his small hand to wittle him down to the point where he was unable to guard so many large attacks won both games the same way and netted me my first match win with bladewings whoo!
Record 1-2
it did feel really weird playing a deck so outside my usual playstyle, but I really enjoyed it so i am certainly going to play the deck more often!
