Finally posted something in a while lol...I'm so sorry for the almost whole year of inactivity. For a while I was busy adjusting myself between work and school, I've had a few burn outs here and there, and most of the time I just feel exhausted to even use my brain for anything hhhhhh

Notorious for giving you any and every gifts that reminds him of you, a habit which he started when he heard of your out-of-dimension adventures.

Wether it's his own coping mechanism because he misses you dearly, or if he just wants to give you things to remember him by as you both travel your owns paths, you'll never know as he refuses to tell you anything.

Little gizmos and gadgets and different thingamabobs, like hair ties costing up to four digits.

"My brother in Hydaelyn, HOW MUCH did you pay for this?"

He tries to diffuse the situation by saying he got it on a good deal, and you swear you could feel your heart sink as he said those words.

Pray never tell Tataru of Estinien's financial misadventures, or she will turn all hells over its head just from her fury.

Luckily his time in Thavnair made him street smarter, and he just doesn't impulsively buy things anymore without bargaining.

But every once in a while he gives you something expensive that is actually worth its price.

Like beautiful jewelry, some fine food, or a full-body Elphant suit in your favourite color.

Aymeric is a man who prefers to give simple gifts to you whenever you make your way to Ishgard. Boquets of roses, golden accessories, stuffed toys to keep around as you little companion. All best of what Ishgard has to offer, fit for the person he loved as much as his homeland.

Thanks to the opening of its borders, Aymeric's gifts had been growing in variety lately. Fine wares from Thavnair to decorate your nonexistent home, fashionable Ul'dahn fashion which has slowly warmed the hearts of the once proud Elezens, beautiful flowers enchanted to wilt a little slower from Gridania...

Although as of lately, you've started to notice a somber look on his face whenever he received gifts for you—despite his efforts to quickly hide it with a resignated smile.

"Do I not appreciate your gifts? My love, I apologize. I have never once been burdened by your gifts." He holds his tongue for a moment, causing you to drip down cold sweat in anticipation.

"I adore them, each and every single one of them. Why, I've dedicated an entire room to fill it with all the presents you've bestowed upon me. In fact, I was wondering my same—as a seasoned adventurer, do my gifts not bore you?"

You couldn't stop yourself from busrting out laughing— Despite his appearance, the House of Lords can be quite the cutie.

Haurchefant loved all yours gifts. So many things you would bring home back to the Fortemps manor were all so different from the same things he has grown accustomed to.

Like tea from Gridania, fine jewelries from Ul'dah, or perhaps a few hefty bottles of Limsa's finest spirits, the likes of which was enough to leave himself amd his family heavily intoxicated after a few shots.

For every gift that you've given to Haurchefant, he has one in return. The freshest of gyashl greens from the Sea of Clouds for your trusted black chocobo (which was itself a present from him as well), luxurious Ishgardian attire of the finest cloths for your overflowing glamour dresser...

Though the ones you cherish the most were the love-filled kisses and tight embraces the two of your shared, wether it be within the privacy of his own quarters or amongst the crowd of disapproving Ishgardians.

...Or so, that was how things were until that fateful day you've lost him.

For so long you've clung on to those memories of fleeting blissfulness, holding them so close to your chest in fear that they may flutter away as well.

But that was a past that has come and gone, and throughout the years you've healed. You've forgiven yourself, and you even allowed yourself another chance to be intimate with another.

If there was one thing that the journey to the ends of the universe has taught you, it is that life is beatiful, even through the pain and anguish. That the memories will ways be a part of you through every step of the journey—that he will be there with you always, and that alone is enough comfort for you to keep going on.

"That was all he could ever ask for. Your happiness." Francel tells you as he makes his way to his old's friends grave.

"Apologies, I didn't mean to interrupt your time together." The young Elezen's voice quivered from the cold.

You brush it off, saying that he knows better than anyone that Haurchefant loved the company of many.

You placed the boquet down on his grave, a colorful batch picked from Thavnair, thinking he would have loved to see these, and how you'll come back with even more grand stories.

You decided it was best to head back to the city proper, realizing that you've been out for too long and that you're probably fatigued. Though you swore you cold have heard a clear whisper among the wind—a quiet but clear Thank you.

So I'd thought I'd update you guys on why I was so quiet the past...2 weeks? Idk, I lost track of time already.

Anyway, long story short I've had non-stop work for 3 weeks straight. Literally, no day off. (Even had to call in sick twice last week just because I was that exhausted) So yeah... I had like no energy to write at all whenever I got back home ( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⌢⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀)

Lately, Takami has been noticing you sighing a lot. And it's been bothering him more than he could ever imagine.

Takami says as he places a tall glass of your comfort drink in front of you.

You look at it in confusion, sure that you haven't ordered anything at all yet, before looking up at Takami to see him mouthing it's on me.

"Is there anything troubling you lately?"

His question had you taken aback—but you should have known that Takami of all people would realize just how your mood has been lately.

You lightly nod, answering as vague as you can get in hopes to at least explain something to him.

He gives you a look, and you recognize that all too knowing that look well. Don't even bother trying to hide something from me, you've heard him say so so many times already that it's been ingrained in your memory.

Begrudgingly, you end up opening to him about your longing for a better relationship, since you find yourself having terrible ones lately.

And though you always ran to him for actually good advice, you weren't expecting this one at all.

“I understand the feeling, (y/n). I want you to be happy as well."

Takami takes your hand in his, and for what you believe is the first time, the look in his eye softens.

"And I would love it to be with me.”

Akira

Akira was, is, and will always be a huge flirt. Long gone were the days when you believed he actually had any feelings for you.

At first, you would reply with playful banter to his so-called confessions, but your failed relationships lately have caused you to become bitter.

"(Y/n)-chan, you drank a lot again today. Maybe you should give it a rest."

Akira walks up after he finished changing out of his stage outfit. He was concerned about you, but you brush off genuineity as playful, but ultimately empty, flirting like always.

You whine how everyone was the same, that no matter the gender everyone was just out to exploit someone else's kindness, but that at the end of the day when they have no more use for you they'll just leave you.

Talk about bitter lmao mamsir you good???

Akira, of course, is greatly taken aback by your confession. Quickly, he's overcome with guilt and grief, and if anything he feels partly to blame for the bitter stance you've taken recently.

"(Y/n)-chan, not everyone is out there to take advantage of you. There are people out there who genuinely care about you and love you..."

Akira pauses, but he decides that you needed to hear this now more than ever.

"Like me."

You were too drunk at this point to even tell what kind of expression he was making, but you could hear just how sad he was.

Akira softly tucks a few strands of your hair behind your ear so he could properly look at your face.

Although Ethan used to be a member of Reunion, he's vowed that to have changed anew for the better.

Naturally, he understood why you were so defensive around him. After all, he could always go back to Reunion at any time, and his oriopathy certainly would help achieve that easily.

So he tried his best to win your favour. He wanted to at least be in good terms with you, since he'll be working for Rhodes Island now in exchange for treatment for his infection.

You tried to convince yourself to give this guy a chance, but everytime you see him you always give him a stink eye; his accomplishments barely acknowledged; his activity always heavily monitored just in case he tried to do something.

And the longer this routine went on, the more suffocated Ethan felt. Though he tried to be patient and understanding, he had a breaking point too.

"It’s like you never really see me. I’m standing right in front of you and you don’t see me!”

You weren't expecting Ethan to explode to you like that when he asked for a moment in private.

"All you ever see is the old me, from Reunion! I know I've tried to prove my innocence, but nothing I do seems to get through you!"

You wanted to stop him, tell him he was wrong. However, feeling the handle on the switchblade you have in your pockets wad enough tell yourself that you could never trust him—or anyone from Reunion.

Ethan opened his mouth, wanting to say more, but he just comes to a stop and exhales for a moment.

"See ya 'round, Doc."

He muttered under his breath. True to his words, you never saw the Savran man ever again.

It's no secret that you were the polar opposite of Estinien. He was a brooding loner, and you were a social butterfly.

While there was a general consensus that it was unthinkable how you two get along, there were a handful who believed that opposites do attract quite nicely.

Still, there are times when even Estinien wonders how you two get along as well as you do.

"Hey partner, how long are you gonna play hero on your self-proclaimed day off?"

Estinien grumbled, emphasizing on the day off, as he watched you walk from person to person who called on their dear Warrior of Light for help with...well, menial tasks.

You tell him that this would be the last one, completely forgetting that you've been using the same excuse for the past few minutes.

All Estinien could do was merely sigh as he chugs down his iced drink which has now warmed up considerably.

How you made me fall in love with you is still beyond me.

Estinien thinks, not realizing that a smile had formed on his lips when he saw you smile so brightly after helping out so many people.

#17: "Don't you see that there are people who care about you? That I care about?"

Following your close-to-death encounter as you fought Zenos, Aymeric cannot find it in himself to stop pacing around outside of your room.

While the best of the Ishgardian physicians can confirm that you were indeed sound of mind and almost well in body despite the bloody battles, nothing can calm his nerves until he hears news of your consciousness returning.

And after a few painful hours of internal panicking, you finally wake up. He was the very first one to enter your chambers, almost pouncing on to you when he finally sees you sitting up against the wooden bed frame.

"My love, you're finally awake...!"

Aymeric says with an almost quivering voice, but immediately calms after placing a kiss on your hands.

His mind is racing seeing you look spaced out, not reacting to him until he tugs you by the shoulder.

You apologize, saying that you were fine. Saying this however did nothing to help calm down the now governing figure of Ishgard. If anything, your words made something in him snap, which definitely gets you taken aback.

"Don't you see that there are people who care about you?! That I care about?"

Aymeric freezes after realizing the outburst, and apologizes promptly. You whisper comforting words in his ear while rubbing circles on his back, hoping to calm him.

"I apologize. I shouldn't have yelled like that, after all, I am to blame for relying on you so. If only I was stronger..."

Aymeric says, unable to look at you.

#24: "You will never lose me. I will always be right here beside you"

Peace has been restored, with the night sky returning to Norvrandt and the Ascian threat disposed of. Now that you've finally finished you mission, you can finally rest in peace until you return to the Source.

...Or at least, it should have been. Yet, your heart feels heavy and you cannot bring yourself to look down at Emet-Selch's chest, now having a large gaping hole through it caused by you.

You fight back the urge to cry, and you stand your ground as you held on to your weapon so tightly that they almost bled.

"Do not look at me so."

Emet-Selch says as he fights to continue standing on his feet, slowly making his way towards you.

"You will never lose me...I will always be right here beside you."

Emet-Selch said almost taunting, with that dashing smirk that always had you so smitten.

"So don't look at me like that. A smile suits you be—"

Emet-Selch was about to reach out to you, caress you cheek like he always had. Alas, the aether which made up his body has dissipated.

Although he didn't finish his sentence, you couldn't help but think if his final words to you were meant to taunt you, or if those were his honest, genuine feelings.

So there was always a fear tugging at the back of your mind whenever you're out and about exploring. A whisper that gradually becomes louder in your head as you continue to learn the truths of how the world has came to be right now.

You're going to lose him, is what the voice tells you anytime you venture deeper into the areas, and especially so when you're about to face a stronger opponent.

Well maybe you should've brought our lord and savior Yakumo

And while you tried your best to hide the fact, your lover could tell something was bothering you. He was naturally perceptive, and was always the first to see whenever anyone was troubled.

And while he initially had reservations of confronting you about it, he couldn't bear to see you look so sad whenever you were with him.

"Is there anything bothering you, love?"

He says as he knelt down by your bedside, taking you by shock as you didn't realize he entered into your shared bedroom until he spoke.

You try to divert the conversation by joking, saying that he should have knocked. Louis however does not answer, and you know he's going to stay firmly in place until you tell him what bothered you.

Giving in, you've been telling him of your fears. How you're afraid to lose anyone, especially him. You tell him that lately, you've been afraid to venture in too deep, and that there will come a time where everyone eventually have to fight a monster no one has a chance to beat, and a sacrifice might have to be made. If anything happened to him, what would you do?

Louis listens with wide eyes, feeling guilty that he let you suffer through these fears alone.

Louis says your name tenderly, making you weak. He gives you a tight embrace, and for the first time in a while you've felt your shoulders relaxed.

And regularly seeing Yakou being lovingly complimented by the Starless' regular customers really hammers in that reality for you.

So as much as your heart jumps whenever he makes you laugh, whenever your fingers slightly touch out of coincidence, or from the flying kisses and winks he does on stage, you always have to remind yourself: He's an entertainer. He's supposed to please you, because that's his job.

And immediately your heart sinks as fast as it jumps out of your chest. You always have to remind yourself that you shouldn't—you can't fall in love with him, because you know you'll be the only one feeling this way.

This burden builds up on you, and naturally you eventually broke down. After Team P's performance, you immediately leave your seat and dart your way towards the exit.

Thinking you were alone by the restaurant's entrance, you finally let all your pent up frustration come out as quiet sobs.

"Hey (Y/n), what's wrong?"

You're surprised by person you wanted to the least right now.

"Hey, why are you crying? Did someone hurt you?"

You wanted to run away that very second, but your feet were anchored in place as your heart finally decided to put into words the pent up feelings you've been having for him. How you've fallen hard for him, but know that you can't because at the end of the day, you will ever only be a regular patron in his eyes.

There's shock in Yakou's expression, and for the first time he loses composure in front of you as he reciprocates to your confession with his own.

"Do I really have to spell it out for you? I love you! Are you happy now?"

Xiao is dubbed as the Guardian Yaksha, having protected the city-state of Liyue from the karmic debt of long-fallen gods and monsters.

And so, when you first notice the piercing gaze of the Vigilant Yaksha, you think nothing more of it as having a guardian angel watching over you.

Xiao, however, was not an angel. He was a sinner with blood-tainted hands, and he does not deny this fact. Yet at the same time, endless fighting was all that the illuminated beast knew, so he wasn't really keen on the difference between infatuation and obession.

Xiao became attracted to your unwavering kindness and pureness of heart. You were so warm and welcoming, even to a bastard like himself. You've honestly tried your best with shaking him off, and everyday you try to plan out your days to make sure you're not within his view anymore. However, Xiao isn't a normal human, he's a powerful adeptus and he can and will be able to find you, no matter where in Liyue you hide.

He ends up nervous when he doesn't hear a reply from you; he's terrified that he presumed that it was the right time to ask you when in fact you still weren't ready, and that he's broken some of your trust because of this.

"My love...? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shock you. I'd understand if you aren't ready yet."

He says, taking your hands in his. Although he does his best to sound calm, you heard a hint of sadness when he spoke.

You gently cupped his cheeks as you look straight at him in the eye, your straight forward action causing the elezen to slightly blush.

I want to spend the rest of my life with you, you tell him before sealing your promise with a kiss.

Estinien Wyrmblood

You're taken aback by Estinien's request, as you didn't peg him to be the type who would be a romantic, albeit awkward about it.

"I'd rather not ask you about this, but I don't really trust anyone else but you with this decision."

You started bursting out laughing, causing the Ishgardian elezen to growl at you, reminding you that he was very serious about confessing to a special someone.

Just tell them how you feel, moron. You jokingly say. You were curious—just who was this mystery person that enamored the hatred-filled heart of Estinien to the point where he would willingly ask for advice?

Estinien plants his face in his hand, mentally wrestling between his thoughts of pursuing his heart or trying to get himself out of the eventual situation.

But he of all people knows that it is better to have done something instead of nothing at all. So with a big huff, he calms down his breathing before finally meeting your eyes with a piercing gaze.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

G'raha Tia

You and G'raha look lovingly at the young children playing around the streets of Mor Dhona, enjoying this rare day off by absolutely doing nothing bu relax.

While you calmly looked at the children, the miqo'te was losing his mind. As childish as it is to admit, he can't help but wonder how it would be when he finally begins to make his own clan with you.

He imagines you and him, playing with young ones he proudly calls his little cubs. Side note though I'd imagine G'raha to be totally stoked about adopting kids.

But until the fate of this star is unknown, he's willing to hold on to his yearning feelings and wait for you, just as you had for him while he slept within the chambers of the Crystal Tower.

However, when he looks at the soft gaze you're making to the frolicking kids, he can't help but think...

The words he just said failed to process in your mind, causing you to just stare at him wide eyed.

He ends up nervous when he doesn't hear a reply from you; he's terrified that he presumed that it was the right time to ask you when in fact you still weren't ready, and that he's broken some of your trust because of this.

"My love...? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shock you. I'd understand if you aren't ready yet."

He says, taking your hands in his. Although he does his best to sound calm, you heard a hint of sadness when he spoke.

You gently cupped his cheeks as you look straight at him in the eye, your straight forward action causing the elezen to slightly blush.

I want to spend the rest of my life with you, you tell him before sealing your promise with a kiss.

Estinien Wyrmblood

You're taken aback by Estinien's request, as you didn't peg him to be the type who would be a romantic, albeit awkward about it.

"I'd rather not ask you about this, but I don't really trust anyone else but you with this decision."

You started bursting out laughing, causing the Ishgardian elezen to growl at you, reminding you that he was very serious about confessing to a special someone.

Just tell them how you feel, moron. You jokingly say. You were curious—just who was this mystery person that enamored the hatred-filled heart of Estinien to the point where he would willingly ask for advice?

Estinien plants his face in his hand, mentally wrestling between his thoughts of pursuing his heart or trying to get himself out of the eventual situation.

But he of all people knows that it is better to have done something instead of nothing at all. So with a big huff, he calms down his breathing before finally meeting your eyes with a piercing gaze.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

G'raha Tia

You and G'raha look lovingly at the young children playing around the streets of Mor Dhona, enjoying this rare day off by absolutely doing nothing bu relax.

While you calmly looked at the children, the miqo'te was losing his mind. As childish as it is to admit, he can't help but wonder how it would be when he finally begins to make his own clan with you.

He imagines you and him, playing with young ones he proudly calls his little cubs. Side note though I'd imagine G'raha to be totally stoked about adopting kids.

But until the fate of this star is unknown, he's willing to hold on to his yearning feelings and wait for you, just as you had for him while he slept within the chambers of the Crystal Tower.

However, when he looks at the soft gaze you're making to the frolicking kids, he can't help but think...

I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
