Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in February 2019, and for Nintendo Switch in March 2021. A mobile version of the game specially designed for touchscreens titled Apex Legends Mobile has also been announced which is scheduled to be fully released by 2022 on Android and iOS. The game supports cross-platform play means that PC player can play against PlayStation player and as well as Xbox player.

GAMEPLAY.

Before the match, players form into two- or three-player squads, and select from pre-designed characters with distinctive abilities, known as “Legends”. The game has two gameplay modes. In “Battle Royale”, up to 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos land on an island and search for weapons and supplies before attempting to defeat all other players in combat. The available play area on the island shrinks over time, forcing players to keep moving or else find themselves outside the play area which can be fatal. The final team alive wins the round. In “Arenas”, players form into three-player squads and fight against another squad in a 3v3 team deathmatch over a series of rounds to determine the winner of the match. Teams win when their team has at least 3 points and is 2 points ahead.

THEME.

Apex Legends is set in the same science fiction universe as Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall series. Work on the game began around late 2016, though the project remained a secret right up until its launch. The game’s release in 2019 came as a surprise, as until that point it had been assumed that Respawn Entertainment was working on a third installment to the Titanfall franchise, the studio’s previous major game. Apex Legends received positive reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay, progression system, and fusion of elements from various genres. Some considered it a worthy competitor to other battle royale games. In addition Apex Legends surpassed 25 million players by the end of its first week, and 50 million within its first month. By April 2021, it had approximately 100 million players.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer asymmetrical horror game in which one player is a brutal killer and the other four are survivors. As a killer, your goal is that you have to sacrifice the maximum possible survivors. As a survivor, your objective is that you have to flee and not be caught and killed.

This game has attracted many gamers from the co-op and horror genre since its release on the 14th of June 2016. This game had been rumoured that it was dying because of the lack of new content 2 years back, but they had proved those rumours wrong by launching their new in-game content just before their 5th anniversary of the game. This game has given people the perspective of being the monsters in horror movies as well as being the survivors who try their best to escape from the killer. Both the killer and the survivors have specific perks they can use to help them achieve their goals easily. Both the killer and survivors had been given slots for their perks based on their level. The maximum number of perks one can use are 4. Other than that, survivors have the option to carry an item that can help them to either fix/heal/escape/find a specific place or blind the killer.

There’s also an option to burn offerings such and map offerings that bring you to specific maps, BP offerings that grant you bonus bloodpoints, effect offerings that affect the map and save offerings that negate losing your items and add-ons. Initially, there used to be 18,011 people playing it when the game had been in the first year of its launch and by January 2019 there were about 41,500 people playing it. Now during the year 2021, the number of people playing had risen up to 105,052 people playing it with an average of 62,700 people playing daily.

What I can say about this game just based on the charts is that this game’s creator and management are doing a great job at keeping the game running and not losing its players, can’t you?

Gameplay

Paladins is a multiplayer first-person shooter in which two groups of five players fight for combat-based objectives. The game takes place on vivid sci-fi fantasy landscapes, and each player selects a champion who cannot be used in the same team or swapped throughout the match. Each champion has their own set of weapons, skills, and combat style, as well as the ability to modify and customise them via the use of a card and skin system. Each player's interface is extremely lucrative and customised, with avatars and adjustable borders to represent the player's profile; titles upon mastering level 30 with a champion, and so on.

Game modes

For Paladins, there are several game types to choose from:

Siege:

Team deathmatch:

Team Deathmatch is a popular game mode used in most first-person shooter games, in which two teams compete for kills. The game is won by the first team to reach 40 kills.

Ranked:

Ranked is the same game style as Siege, except that upon picking a champion, each side can choose two champions to ban, making them inaccessible to both teams. In addition, each team may view the champions that the other team has chosen, and once a champion has been chosen by any player on a team, the other team cannot utilise that champion.

Loadouts:

Characters' gameplay may be customised by gaining talents (by levelling up) and building a deck of iconic cards. Each champion has three special abilities.
