this is strange, because something very similar happened to me this same morning!!

I scripted I'd smell a storm rolling in on the plains when I woke in my dr (yeah, i know, strangely specific, but that's where i grew up and im so missing the smell rn 😭)

and i woke up this morning, seeing my OR room pretty clearly, but the smell was THERE, SO STRONG AND VIVID. it lingered for a good 30 seconds probably while i was half asleep and eyes half-closed.

WHAT THE FREAK??

shifting update:

I’m not sure what this was, but last night I did my shifting method blah blah blah

and this morning when I woke up, as my eyes just started to open, I saw obviously my cr bedroom and windows, but at the same time, I saw a bit of my dr flicker in and out as my eyes were opening/getting awake. (like I saw what I would’ve seen if I were waking up in my dr, just not as vivid as what I was seeing from my cr)

but yeah, updates 😈

➜ I've been a LotR and Hobbit head since I was 5 years old and my dad would read me Tolkien to go to sleep. Needless to say, that became my first dr that I made, and I've never fallen out of love with it (though I'm largely past trying to shift there for the moment). I first entered the shifting community when I was really little, probably like 11.

I would lurk the internet, searching high and low for LotR shifters to talk to. I never found a SOUL shifting there. NOT A SINGLE ONE.

➜ Now, literally in the last month, I have seen them everywhere. It could be more fans just entered the shifting community, but this truly

feels like a whole new, fresh reality. They're all over shiftblr, and (judge me, but I confess) I revisit shifttok from time to time, just to check if there's any new insights from our girls Reya or Alexa. And when I fell down those "which drs are yall shifting to?" videos rabbithole, there were tons and tons of LotR shifters!!!

It always made me a feel a bit alone in the shifting community as a little tween with no one to talk abt my dr with like the MCU and HP shifters did. But now look?? This fills me with so much happiness, and the inner little me is jumping for joy right now.

Ain't no way I'm not shifting very, very soon.

FR and i have such love for my parents here that i dont wanna deal with other ones in a diff reality because even if they're the same as mine here, we won't have the same memories and past together. maybe im a wimp but i just dont need that in the back of my mind. Same reason I barely script friends from this reality

shifters when we script our families are dead so we are free and have a cool backstory

Ignoring other people in my dr and just focusing on my s/o makes me unmotivated. I use to do that all the time. I forgot that he wasn't the only thing that I liked about my dr. I let myself get obsessive.

I still struggle with not only focusing on him. I recently started to be interested in people outside of Bonnie, the twins, and him again.

Only focusing on my s/o is a no no for me.

I'm making progress.

i genuinely need people to realise that when they shift they will be the person they scripted.

when you shift you will live out those experiences and they will shape you out to be the person you are in that reality. that person is actually you

there’s nothing inherently wrong with scripting you had a specific sort of life that’s nothing like your own now. big or small chances idc but istg sm shifters make ocs instead of an actual person

but for a second think about it. is that smth you actually, genuinely, whole heartedly want for urself?
