Psi (She/Her They/Them): A former Higher Guard turned mercenary after the collapse of the Empire. A ruthless and relentless hunter wielding a trident who takes full advantage of their shapeshifting ability to get the job done. Though they will take most any type of job they show a clear favoritism for contract killings. Rather socially awkward outside of their job and with plenty of experience from their former position Psi is a dangerous katamon who cares for very few things that don’t work as a means to completing their objective, save for music, and especially Beta.

Upsilon: A former general in the Empire, he now flies a spaceship with his friend Taueta. He’s nervous, letting Taueta do most of the talking for their group, but is dangerous in a fight despite his... strange weapons.

Taueta: Worked with Upsilon in the guard, and had started working with him before he was even a general. They’ve known each other for a long time. She may not be good at strategy, but she has very large swords and she knows how to use them. She’s also very strong, and a nice person.

Frog: They had been a civilian in the Empire, and after the universe was destroyed they changed their name, stole a ship, and filled that ship with terrariums. They’ll fly anyone anywhere, as long as they get some kind of payment. It could be money, it could be food, they’ll even take cool rocks or a bug.

Epsilon (She/her): Former Guard assassin, now works as a bounty hunter/mercenary. Not one for friends, she normally works alone and doesn’t enjoy company or expressing her emotions to others. She also has a deep love of alternative/edgy music and owns her own spaceship.

Omikron (He/him): An albino Kataman. Because of [REDACTED], he lives on a far away planet and doesn’t know about the other survivors of his race, until [REDACTED].

Mu (she/them): a former Guard with an intense hatred for Beta, blaming her for the death of their childhood friend, Iota. Was tasked with missions requiring large scale demolitions of old cities, space pirate ships, etc. Will destroy anything and anyone who gets in their way, but won’t go out of their way to attack others. Was put on probation in the guard, so they could only use one weapon.

Karagiozi (they/them): a civilian tagging along with Mu. After the collapse of the Empire, they were no longer restricted by its laws regarding civilians and grew out their hair and wearing clothing meant for those with higher status. Thanks to their lack of combat experience, they’ll use any advantage they can get in fights, even resorting to dirty battle tactics.

Iota (she/her): a deceased Guard who died in the wormhole explosion. Mu’s childhood friend, they met when they first joined the guard and had stuck together since. Was tasked with missions requiring small scale demolition, earning Mu and them the nickname “Demolition Duo”.

Beta (she/her): Former Higher Guard of the Empire, and current traitor to the majority of the survivors. She wields a needle, and specializes in disguising herself, though her criminal tattoo always gives it away.

Gamma (he/him): Former Guard who still entrusts in the Empire’s beliefs, and is one of the Katamese hunting her down. Despite not being as powerful as most others, he has caused the most long-term damage to her.

Lambda (she/her): A former Higher Guard who grew out her hair when the Empire was destroyed, and is one of the few Katamese who’d rather not get involved with killing Beta. She is seen as strange for being unapologetically open with herself, and has decided to become a sort of housekeeper for Epsilon’s ship.

Hi there, and welcome to Gay-Space-Drama, a blog dedicated to the original Katamese species created by our amazing Mod Oreo! Here’s some basic information you’ll need to know, as well as some simple rules to keep this blog friendly and fun! This blog is run by five mods:

Our rules:

1. This blog is simply for us mods to have a place to dump about all of our ocs, and, most importantly, have fun! Therefore, we’re asking everyone to keep negativity away from this blog.

2. The Katamese are an open species, so you’re more then welcome to create your own OCs! Information about the species will be revealed over time, but we’d love to see your creations! If you do make a Kataman OC, make sure we see it by either submitting it to the blog or tagging it with #Katamese or #Katamese Species 3. No sexualization, fetishization, p*doph*lia, *nc*st, and/or any other NSFW content of the OCs on this blog or the species in general unless granted permisson otherwise by a mod later. While we will have OCs in relationships on here and we love seeing what people can do with this species, we want to keep this blog and species PG/PG 13. 4. Please use proper character and mod pronouns, as we respect all genders and pronouns on this blog. If you aren’t sure on a character’s gender/pronouns, don’t hesitate to ask!

5. Along with 4, or if you forgot to read the blog title, we respect all different sexual and romantic orientations as well (P*d*ph*l*a, which is not a sexuality, is not included). If you don’t enjoy this fact and voice your opinion about it on this blog, a mod will likely draw the subject of your complaint out of spite. If you’d rather this not happen, consider not following a blog about gays in space. 6. If you have a question about the species, please, ask us! We’d love to let you know anything (within reason) that you need to know, and we’d rather you ask us about it instead of making assumptions. Most of the Mod Squad here knows quite a bit, but with Mod Oreo being the creator of the species, their word is law. Anyways, thank you all for following us and showing your support!
