hey so I saw a post of yours randomly on a tumblr memes page on instagram, something about wishing the media would portray more healthy relationships. have you ever seen the movie big fish, because, if nothing else, head over heels love is absolutely climbing into a bathtub fully clothed to lay with your spouse because he feels "dried out." just watch it. yellowcard even wrote a song about it
Actually crazy that that post is still going around. Still stick by what I said, too.
That sounds cute, I'll give it a try sometime. I trust Yellowcard, too, Ocean Avenue is an album I still go back and revisit sometimes.

Any childhood cartoons you watched while growing up?
Spongebob was my #1. Seasons 1~3 forever hold a deep place in my heart. I would bounce between that and old cartoons my mom would put on, like Pink Panther, School House Rock, Tom & Jerry, Dragon Tales, etc.

How many OC do you have? And do they have connection with each other and some sort of story as well?
HAHAHAHhhahaha. Well. Uhhhhh.
Tttttoo many to really give you a solid number. OCs fluctuate. Right now, for World of Darkness, I have about 42 (this is if I included Exalted) sifting around in my head with about 13 of them being active in roleplay scenes.
Warhammer has around, uh, I'd say a solid maybe 10.
It's hard to count, I've long since stopped trying to.

Just of curiosity, have you ever heard of or played Bendy and the Ink Machine or thought of doing art of it?
Seen playthroughs of it, plenty actually. It's a really cool concept, but not a game for me.

Hey Geist, do you play any 40k Computer games? They recently made a strategy one featuring our boys, the blood angles.
Old old ask. I don't play much now, except the occasional Darktide (Zealot for life), but I've played Dawn of War, Space Marine, and I particularly want to get my grubby little hands on Rogue Trader. I want RT SO. BAD.

I gotta ask, what’s the story behind the brass dragon “Cheese” your players encountered? The one you made art of?
Going through asks; let's start with this one!
Cheese was a random encounter, actually. He was considered to be an unlucky dice roll, but I remember hesitating when I rolled 'baby dragon encounter.' There was no color given to me, so I rolled again to see what kind of dragon he would be. I feared the worst - surprise! Brass dragon. I remembered that Brass Dragons weren't necessarily dangerous nor really that feral, and it was just a baby.
So I played the little baby as innocent, and my players latched pretty immediately. They asked the baby his name, and through a lucky roll, he understood them asking. I panicked, though, and had to think of a name on the spot as I was not expecting my players to adopt a baby fucking dragon off of the side of the road. I had some cheezits on my desk for a snack, so I squeaked out the name 'Cheese' and it stuck. Cheese has since been dropped off at a temple to Bahamut where he would grow in a safe sanctuary.

Wonderful to see you posting again! I hope things are going better or at least okay for you. Keep on the good work and hopefully enjoying yourself while doing so!
It's been a slow process, but thank you! I've been able to calm my life down a bit more and get back to art. First and foremost; finishing the commissions I have yet to deliver from a while ago. Moving across country then jumping from one abusive job, to another abusive job, then to a job that treats me well has been very difficult on my mental (and sometimes physical) health, but we're getting back in to the swing of things. Hopefully, there will be more art to come once those commissions have been finished.

I'm teaching myself to draw, and am really struggling with figuring out a style. I adore yours and want to be able to do something similar eventually. Can I ask how you developed your art style?
First of all; Keep going. No matter your mistakes, inability to perhaps draw a certain thing, or just straight up frustration. Keep drawing and love your mistakes, because they shape a better you.
As for my style; A lot of it is from studying different inspirations of mine and how they translate their art to a page. Glenn Keane (Disney; Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Tarzan), Derek Wyatt (Transformers: Animated, Scooby Doo), Bernie Wrightson (Frankenstein), and one of my favorites, Teddy Newton (Incredibles).
The real, ugly way I developed my art style was development over time, picking pieces from my inspirations and applying them to my own process of illustrating. How did these artists think about shapes, movement, language and fluidity? How can I take what they used and use it in a way that fits my own understanding of art? How in my process of studying anatomy and light can I use their stylization methods to change what I have learned into a unique representation of myself? Asking questions like that is important, and one of the best ways to really acquaint yourself with your process. It is incredibly important as an artist to not only understand the basics of art, but also understanding yourself. Where do your strengths and flaws sit? What do you love drawing, what do you hate drawing? What are you wanting to get better at, what are you happy with, etc? What amount of art can you create before you're tired? It should be your #1 priority to nurture your process as well as your study.
A last remark; Understand that styles can change. I, myself, have a very fluctuating style- in fact, sometimes I struggle with the idea that I don't HAVE a signature, recognizable style, but it has been something I've been getting more acquainted with in terms of understanding my own art. Always allow yourself to love what you create. Never forget that!
