Hey so Ive reread this au and like Im still wondering about this particular thing: If Nanefua and Marty dated in this, did they ever had kids? If so, is Vidalia and Kofi possibly siblings in this? And would that make Sour Cream, Onion, Jenny and Kiki cousins?

I know you havent touched this in a long time and it's fine if you dont have a concrete response, but this just kept me wondering

I can't remember for certain, but I wanna say they didn't have kids? Either that or Marty is Kofi's dad. Vidalia's family would be completely unrelated to Marty, and Sour Cream would have to have a different dad.

Since the ages were scrambled, Nanefua became sort of the only character in the right age range to replace Vidalia in the flashback. At that time Vidalia would not have born yet.

Also, since Greg is old now and Marty is significantly older than Greg, Marty is currently either in a senior home or dead.

I've never claimed sole ownership over this AU. Steven Universe was created by Rebecca Sugar and is owned by Cartoon Network. I didn't ask them if I could make a derivative work out of SU, and you certainly don't have to ask me.

In other words, I don't have any more legal right to Gem Kids than you, so do as you please.

There's no reason they couldn't learn to fight the way Connie did in canon. They would definitely want to defend their home, and their kids.

I really love the idea for this au, and am wondering if I could use it to potentially make a comic in the future? If not that's completely understandable, I just love the idea and would love to place the characters in a story straying further from the canon! Obviously I'd give SO MUCH credit to you for coming up with the au and gem designs.

I'm tempted to take over this comic for you... but I'm not sure how to balance a comic with a full time job. How did you do it?

There were two big things that made it so I could post frequently:

1. I draw very fast.

2. I did not put much effort or detail into any of the drawings.

The dialogue and pacing carry the comic. If you can do decent staging and expressions, the drawings really don't have to be all that great. Which is how I got away with the fact that I never sketched a single panel of gem kids.
