I imagine the best way to handle a theoretical continuity that integrates both Terry McGinnis and Damian Wayne is to actually not have Damian show up until AFTER Terry has taken on the mantle of Batman. Have this egotistical self-serious little kid show up one day and have him just confuse the hell out of Terry and Old Man Bruce.

In fact, I think Damian being Terry’s Robin in this theoretical alternate timeline would REALLY work in terms of character dynamics. The traditional Batman/Robin dynamic is a stoic, serious man paired with a witty kid. But with Terry being something of a sarcastic quipper, making his Robin be this weird, abrasively serious kid makes for a perfect role reversal. Terry says something funny and Damian hits him with a deadpan autistic stare.

(Yes I know some of the Batman Beyond comics have featured an actual grown Damian Wayne but just think of this as a suggestion for a theoretical reboot)
