DR Sprite Set Raffle

so!! for anyone who missed my last post, I don’t plan on continuing this blog anymore. but I wanted to do something special for you guys :) so I’m holding this raffle. The winners will get a sprite edit set of their character of choice. This could be any kind of character, like an OC, a character from a different series in the DR style, or a pre-existing character talentswapped/in a new outfit.

The rules are simple: reblog to enter, you don’t even need to be following. Multiple reblogs won’t count for anything though!! For now you can enter until July 20th, though I might change this date if needed.

1st place prize: 9 sprite edits (3 poses, 3 expressions each)

2nd place prize: 6 sprite edits (2 poses, 3 expressions each)

3rd place prize: 4 sprite edits (1 pose, 4 expressions)

The winners will be chosen the day after the raffle closes. If you get chosen and don’t respond within a week, I’ll chose a different winner. If you win, please be patient with me. These prizes will take a while for me to do, especially if people don’t respond right away. :(

How the flying frick does one draw the stripes on Shuichi's outfit if they're doing pose edits of him-

Ooh I’ve never done pose edits for Shuichi but!! I did a little tutorial for you!! This is intended for firealpaca since that’s what I use so the options might be a little different, but you should be able to use this method in most art programs I think??

(also I literally just took this arm from a Hiroko sprite edit I did and lazily recolored it jghfjgh)

Okay firstly!!! You need the actual lines!! I literally just made a line and pasted it a bunch to make this. :’D You could probably just find a pattern on the internet but I wanted it to be accurate to the width and length apart they actually are on his outfit!! I set my pen size to 3.8 but I think anywhere between that and 3 is probably fine. Also make sure they’re all on the same layer!!

Next find the “mesh transform” option!! It might be named differently in other art programs but here’s where you can find it if you use firealpaca.

It should give you something like this!! (I also had to stretch the lines out since it wasn’t actually big enough to fit the whole arm kjghfj)

It basically allows you to distort the image however you like. :D As you can see it makes it pretty easy to edit stuff like this, I literally did this in less than a minute lmao.

After that I made a clipping layer in order to make the lines in the shadows darker and bam!!! It’s finished. :D

I use firealpaca, it’s a free art program and I highly recommend it. ^^ If you’re looking for mobile apps though then honestly I have no idea, sorry!!
