If you do need the actual book(for some professors, it actually is required as more than a formality), Amazon often has some really cheap.  I've gotten brand new textbooks for less than half what the school bookstore charged for used.

This is a summary of college only using two pictures; expensive as hell.
That’s my Sociology “book”. In fact what it is is a piece of paper with codes written on it to allow me to access an electronic version of a book. I was told by my professor that I could not buy any other paperback version, or use another code, so I was left with no option other than buying a piece of paper for over $200. Best part about all this is my professor wrote the books; there’s something hilariously sadistic about that. So I pretty much doled out $200 for a current edition of an online textbook that is no different than an older, paperback edition of the same book for $5; yeah, I checked. My mistake for listening to my professor.
This is why we download.

Anything about what Russian people and everyday Russian life would be amazing, especially if you are old enough to remember the Cold War.  I was 13 in 91 when the Cold War is generally said to have ended, so I got a pretty limited view of what Russia and Russians were like.  I was always smart enough to know I wasn't getting the full picture, still, the Russian perspective is still pretty absent.  At least I recognize this though.
I'd like to write something about Russia.
I think that in due time I’ll write about the Old Believers, because not even Russians know that they are not extinct and pretty much among us all the time, like a religious mafia.
Or maybe I’ll write abour Moscow metro - my most beloved method of transportation. About how it works and it’s specialities.
Or I will write about something cultural, or russian mentality.
What would you like to read? Suggestions?

My thought on the first image-  "This is pretty damn hot". Imagine that.  You can give women plausible armor and still have her provide fanservice.

With all the different light angles and areas I thought this would be a good challenge to fix this elf(?)’s armor!
That’s a Castanic, but there are elfs in that game too!
Anyway, I LOVE your redesign! I’m aware it would be one heck of a challenge, but I think you did it quite well! I love how you mixed in some blue in it.
I’m not sure what level her armor is, but I figured it’s one of those higher ones. See, the men of Castanics tend to have their abs bared, but not in the higher level armors in most cases.

John Hurt and the Cartmel Master Plan
In the late 80's, Andrew Cartmel developed a plan to reveal The Doctor's origins.  Only a few bits and pieces of this made it to screen- Sevens "I'm more than just another Time Lord" is likely part of this. Among other things, this involved revising the story of how the Gallifreyans became the Time Lords.  Originally, it was Rassilon and Omega, Rassilon being more on the political end, Omega being the engineer.  He would have added a third figure, called "The Other", and at least heavily implied that The Doctor is a future incarnation of this figure.  In some of the novels, Susan Foreman was actually The Other's granddaughter, and recognized The Doctor as a distant reincarnation of her grandfather. Eleven talking about how Hurt's character broke the promise does seem to suggest Hurt is somewhere in advance of the first incarnation, but I'm not convinced it rules this out entirely.  Perhaps he adopted the name "The Doctor" in part as a response to his first incarnations betrayal of what he stood for?  He presumably stood for something even before he adopted the name.  Maybe what Hurt's character did was part of why he left Gallifrey in the first place?

The Doctor's Name
If his name will actually be revealed, it better set up deeper mysteries, be incredibly epic in scope, or perhaps both.  I've got a theory on it.  The Doctor's name is "Omega". This is a name that should be instantly recognizable to those familiar with the classic series.  To recap, Omega was a stellar engineer in the dawn of the Time Lord era on Gallifrey, and collapsed a star into a black hole.  This is what gave the nascent Time Lords the power to master time travel.  A good argument could be made here that Omega was the first of the Time Lords.  Nice symetry with the *last* of the Time Lords, The Doctor. Unfortunately, Omega ended up trapped in an antimatter universe.  His first recorded attempt to break free required the First, Second, and Third Doctors to defeat, and weakened the Time Lords to the extent that the only aid they could give was getting the three Doctors in contact with each other- and the First only through a video link.  His second attempt was defeated by the Fifth Doctor, but came far closer to success. Various bits and pieces of S5 on have seemed to hint that Omega is returning.  The omega sign, the TARDIS like technology the Silents had access to, and we're clearly dealing with a cosmic badass coming after The Doctor. As for direct evidence that it's his name, there really isn't any.  The symbolism, though... Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet, and the word is used to refer to the concept of 'last'.  Fitting name for the last of a species.  And the questions it could set up- I don't foresee a direct "The Doctor is Omega" statement being made.  I foresee something like "I was named after him"... The Doctor viewed Omega as a great hero(at first anyways), perhaps he got that from his parents, who named him for the great scientist? Of course, with this as the answer to who he is, it raise the question of who he will become.  Was he named after a great hero, or named after himself?  This is a name that can preserve some mystery and have some really interesting storytelling directions things could go in from here on out. Now that I think of it, River Song's storyline could, with minimal stretching, be interpreted as a foreshadowing of this.  Named after herself, she was formed like the first Time Lords, she had her homicidal maniac phase... It's not perfect, no, but there are some rough parallels between my theory here and the life of River Song. Why he doesn't use the name anymore?  Well, it's been shown that The Doctors memories of meeting himself are fairly shaky- or at least inferred as an in universe explanation of why he never seems to remember meeting his future self.   Time Crash did indicate that he can sometimes retain at least partial memory of such meetings.  Maybe the First Doctor remembered enough that he turned away from the name out of shame, but not enough to lose his view of the historical Omega as a hero?  No longer using the name could also be related to his status as an exile. I think I need to watch the Omega episodes again, as well as all of S5-present.  See if I've missed anything that would substantially strengthen or weaken this theory.

I like one of those ways. Seriously, though, I'm expecting Susan, or possibly The Doctor himself(herself at this point?).   Susan is the easiest to make work, hypothetically if she was rushing back to Gallifrey to help out as the Time Lock came down, and her TARDIS crashed against it, it's not unreasonable to expect her to get scattered across time like Clara.  You could expect something very strange to happen with time and/or the occupants of said TARDIS, at least.  And Claras life/lives do count as something strange happening to her with regards to time. The parents of one of the Claras being on screen might be an issue, but adoption is a thing and at least through "Cold War"(I've fallen behind) that possibility has not been ruled out.  There are questions of aging rates and whatnot here, but we've seen with Mels that at least partial Time Lords can age similarly to humans. The TARDIS not knowing which side of the Time Lock she is supposed to be on could explain the not getting along, too.
SHE HAS SEEN THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR.
IF YOU TELL ME CLARA IS FUCKING RIVER I WILL KILL YOU MOFFAT.

bc
So, I just discovered the Unix tool bc.  Given that I'm a Mac guy as much for the Unix as for anything else, this got me interested. bc is a mathematical programming language and interactive calculator.  The latter is useful, sometimes I need a calculator, and for what I'm doing that instant, a terminal app is most appropriate.  bc fills that role well. bc also is a C like programming language for mathematical operations.  I haven't gotten deeply into it, but here's a factorial function, with a simple recursive implementation.
/*Factorial function in bc*/
define fact(x)
{
    if( x <= 1){
        return 1
    }else{
        return x * fact(x-1)
    }
}

Who could Clara be?
What if Clara is The Doctor, and her amnesia about this and her scattering through time and apparent multiple deaths are the result of some bizzare TARDIS mishap? I don't have any real arguments in support of this, it was just an idea that randomly occurred to me.

If you blend reality and fantasy a little bit, he's his own father in law. To be fair, Doctor Who has a flexible enough premise that such a thing might arise without being icky, even without needing to involve aliens.
Doctor + Companion
Peter Davison and Jenny from the Doctor’s daughter. The actress who plays her is Davison’s IRL daughter. So, it would be the Doctor’s daughter in both real and who life.
#also I loved that episode #and would love for her to come back #because Matt and her would be cool too

I expect it to be a situation where he reveals it, but off camera or whispered into an ear... Or, perhaps, the reveal will only set up deeper mysteries. If it was going to be a straightforward reveal, it would be in the anniversary special.

On gun violence in the United States
Something needs to be done.  Right now I'm not going to discuss specific gun regulations.  I'm open to action in the general direction of most proposals, though I disagree with many of the specifics.  I need to read more on given proposals before I can discuss them in any real detail, so I'll leave it at that for the moment.  But one thing we need to do is sort out mental health care.  Adam Lanza, James Holmes, Klebold and Harris, too many others to mention, there are mental health issues all around.  We need this fixed.  Make care easier and cheaper to access.  Break the stigma- if your arm is broken, you go to a doctor to get it fixed.  It should also be that if your mind is broken, you go to a doctor to get it fixed.   Not just diagnosable mental illness- anger management, coping skills, that sort of thing.  Nonviolent conflict resolution.  These things need to be taught, and taught early. Dealing with bullying will help, too.   Why isn't the gun lobby making more than token comments about these things?  Improving mental health care, reducing bullying, and you can make a huge dent in gun violence, make many other improvements in society, and not impact gun rights AT ALL.  From their point of view, a significant improvement in general mental health is all win.   I don't know a huge amount about various proposals to fix this, either, so I can't really do a whole lot more than see the potential in the idea, what a well crafted plan could achieve.  This really needs to be a much more central part of our response to gun violence.  It will make a huge dent in that problem, and others, with far fewer definite and potential downsides. But no, if you can't handle your own life, we're not helping you, you're not worthy if you aren't strong enough to stand on your own.  Oh, and by the way, you can have ALL THE GUNS.

Hmm.  Maybe Clara was on Game Station too, and was affected just as strongly, though much more strangely, than Jack when Rose resurrected people?

Or... Nobody may speak falsely or fail to answer. The prophecy says nothing about how the question is interpreted.   Imagine the scene...  The Doctor refers to someone without giving their name.  Then The Question is asked.  "Oh, I was just talking about my friend Clara here".
"Doctor, who?" being the question as interpreted.
This would require some cleverness, beyond the simple example I gave here, to make it fit the significance of the answer that we've been promised.  But it could work. Also, the question could be asking who The Doctor is, but not his name.  "Who are you?" is sometimes meant more abstractly- what are your interests, what are your hopes and dreams?  It does not always refer to your name.
Plot twist: The Doctor’s name is revealed to be the Gallifreyan word for “who” or “who am I.”
