so ive been playing sky a lot right?

two days ago i was in a restaurant with my mom and aunt. some people in the booth ahead of us. all of a sudden, i heard a clatter and splash, followed by slight commotion. theyd knocked over their drinks. without thinking, i stood from my seat mid-conversation, picked up some napkins from the adjacent table, and gave them to one of the people at the other booth. they thanked me and i sat down again.

my mom was staring at me. she said, "that was nice of you. you didnt have to do that."

and for a second i was bewildered by her, because why wouldnt i? people near me could use a hand, it cost me nothing but a moment of my time, it just made sense. and then i was bewildered with myself, because just a year ago before i started playing i wouldnt have even thought to help.

the thing is in sky, youre encouraged to help each other. not just friends but strangers, all the time, with things like daily quests to giant undertakings like eden. playing in an environment like this every day sort of rewired my brain to just. automatically help strangers without thinking about it or expecting a reward. just because i can, so why not?

anyway. tgc, yall made an amazing game, and its making a real impact on people in the world. with your help, the world is becoming a slightly kinder place. and that means something

When you lose your light and your skykid loses their individuality, aswell as reverting back to the default voice, it also becomes completely flat with no tone variance at all

Interestingly this is also the same sound that the spirits make when they honk while waiting for you to light their bodies after reliving the memories

I'm laughing my ass off I told mom I had a lot of followers on Tumblr and she was like oh you're an influencer and I couldn't help but laugh, Tumblr doesn't work like that. We're all gremlins rummaging through trash here. There are no Tumblr influencers, everyone is a possum in a little hat typing with little possum hands about our little possum likes.

Things I think tgc should bring back (from light awaits mostly but also just. In general)/add

The aviary. Self explanatory. I do like the home space we have now but I would also kill to have it be Big and I think that there's definitely a way to either combine them or just. Straight up add the aviary somewhere else

The patterned capes from light awaits. They're So Cool and I want them. Gimme

Cloud stadium but only like. Sometimes. Maybe only on certain days? Idk bro I just want it back,, it was hell sometimes but nostalgia I guess

I have too many headcanons but this is one of them ever since Season of Dreams came out. ;)

I'm not sure what idea I like less: the one that TGC is punishing players for not socializing 24/7 or the one that they're going down the "force 'em to buy candles route".

My gut reaction is hating forced socialization more, but the other one stresses me out for a whole other reason. I mean, I have all the cosmetics I REALLY wanted so I won't die if I can't buy as many more, but I have watched so many other amazing games go completely down the pay-to-win toilet and God, I don't want that to happen to Sky too
