Spreading the agenda bc WIND BREAKER is one of my fave series. Period. This really sums up a lot of why this series has charmed me so damn much. Give it a go; even if it's not your thing, it's still really GOOD.
friends, tumblrinas, countrymen... today? i offer you WIND BREAKER propaganda, tomorrow? who knows (it'll probably be more WIND BREAKER propaganda)
The numbers are feral atm. They gotta divide and conquer. Each of them become competent at 1 aspect of civilian life so they can all live together in a communal complex and just barely survive.
"I know how to get the best deals at the supermarket but don't ask me to cook; I can barely boil water unless its over a campfire in the middle of the jungle."
"I can cook a wide variety of meals but if you ask me how much a single tomato costs on average I will guess 17$."
"I may not know the difference between a fruit and a vegetable but I do know how to get every kind of stain imaginable out of your clothes including bloodstains."
"I can do just about any minor repair you could need in your home from flooring tiles to the microwave but if you put me in charge of packing a lunchbox all you're getting is half a loaf of bread and a spoon."
less of 005 being the mom friend (okay she's older and with a cooler head but also she's the only woman we know from the camp so uuh) and more of her being a fucking mess when it comes to normal people and everyday life. sure she can kill anyone she wants but i want to see her stumped by the sandwich section of a grocery store.
I'm SO excited! You may have seen my last set of 18 posters, and now I present set 2!
For those who don't know, these are workplace posters from a fictional government agency that deals with the supernatural called the Office for the Preservation of Normalcy. It's become an interactive unfiction world - check out my pinned post for more information!
All of these posters are available in my Ko-fi shop as 11x17 posters, stickers, buttons and keychains!
You can use these for your own stuff like TTRPG campaigns or print them out, but keep in mind these versions in the post are 50% size so not full quality. If you do use them, consider tipping my ko-fi as linked above!
I feel confident enough to post these now. A collection of all the existing posters after some edits from the other post that got 13k notes! These are full size/quality. Go nuts.
You may use them for wallpapers, tabletop campaigns, whatever. Consider tipping me or buying a print or sticker on ko-fi here! If you do use them, let me know what for, or send pictures!
You died with a remarkable fortune and no heirs. You grant your wealth to two rivalling schools in the same city, under one condition: One of them must always keep your preserved skull. They may keep it on display (therefore attracting interest and potentially fame to the school) but that always raises the risk of students of the other school stealing it. The students and staff of the other school have not only the right, but the duty to do so at any opportunity. Nobody can be arrested for this unless they're caught breaking some other law.
Ideally, the students of the two schools keep stealing your skull, back and forth, forever. The culture of both of the schools is enriched by this activity, the students are too busy engaged in these harmless shenanigans to drift into worse habits and behaviours, and you get to be included in countless nonsensically frivolous heist operations whose sole purpose is to bring more fun into the world.
I wanted to leave many times up till now. Still do, sometimes. But–
"Not yet. I have to see him get there. I know he will, but I want to celebrate it with him too."
I want to see them all get to where they're going. I've been following them week after week for so long now.
So not yet.
It's stupid; I have other things to live for.
Yet sometimes those things feel too big and too precious to fit in my wretched hands. But this? It was simple, it was definitive, it was something I could hold onto without a sense of guilt or pressure. It gave me the room to learn how to fit all those other things in my hands, and now I can hold on tight without so many reservations.
So not yet.
He's the man who will become the pirate king, and I want to still be here when it happens.
I am so sick of fic writers making 10-year-olds talk like babies.
I work with children and have taken numerous classes on adolescent development. Here's some of what I learned because I might actually kill someone if I read another fic where an older child is essentially a four-year-old. (No hate to anyone in particular. Children are confusing.)
(Slight trigger warning for 13 & 14 year-olds. Puberty/sex mentioned)
(Most info is from Chip Wood's Yardsticks: Child and Adolescent Development Ages 4-14)
