Natsu's Jealousy

Here I am with something none asked for. Tomorrow is my chemistry exam and I'm doing a Nalu analysis lol. If that doesn't explain my obsession and attachment with this ship Idk what does.

In chapter 02 of the sequel, we saw that Natsu was getting pissed at Elefseria because he was moving continuously from one place to another. He told him to stay still for once and the next second, he was in between Lucy's boobs lmfao. Which made Natsu snap instantly. He aggresively put his hand there to get him out and...and just look at the expression he was making-

In this episode though, I though he'd remember the previous encounter and be a little cold towards Elefseria but he was cheerful, in fact he was the first one to say something after reaching there.

He was pretty much acting his dork self. Which is no wonder lol. Then Elefseria said something which made him snap a bit. He practically doubted team Natsu's strength by saying he wants to leave the quest to the Diabolos members.

Natsu said the right thing- he was indeed looking down on them. But he was still quiet for most of the time. They were discussing the whole situation.

Then this lol. *takes her time laughing and then proceeds to type again* Okay so here we see the aggressive Natsu again. He just shoves his hand in her shirt and says "You JERK! Where do you think you're slipping in between?!!! " There is no way of explaining this as something platonic. At least I don't see a way💀

His words either meant- THIS IS AN INAPPROPRIATE THING TO DO! or I WON'T LET YOU TOUCH LUCY LIKE THAT. Now Natsu definitely didn't mean the first one because if he did the he wouldn't have done the same by shoving his hand in. Besides him there were Erza, Gray and Wendy. But Natsu was the only one getting all worked up and angry at Elefseria despite the fact that he didn't mean any harm to Lucy but he was just a pervert like Macao or Wakaba. If Natsu wasn't already trying to remove him, Lucy sure would have.

In chapter 26, Wendy says that Natsu was so busy chasing off people hitting on Lucy that he didn't even notice he burnt Lucy's clothes and the exceeds in the process. I think his possessiveness solely depends on the situation.

People were making moves on Lucy and that infuriated him so he burnt them and didn't even care about the others around him. He didn't even answer why he did that, he just pouted like that was the most obvious thing.

Natsu doesn't miss a single chance to get physically close with Lucy. He lays his head in her lap when he's sick or injured. Gawks at her in the middle of a battle, wants to take his scarf off of her even when she loses her top, wants to see her naked and all. This is not for just best friends thing to do. Practically speaking, this is innaproprate. But he still does it anyways. He got annoyed at her for trying to go in public wrapped in a towel but does little pervy acts with her more or less all the time.

When Natsu's beta heaven was shown we got to see married Zervis with August and Larcade as their kids. Wk what beta heaven is right? It's a world different for everyone, constructed by their own mind. Natsu knew how much Mavis and Zeref loved each other and that's why his mind made a world that fulfilled his desire of seeing them married with 2 kids. Natsu knows what it means to love someone and have a family with them, it's a proof of that claim. He isn't a dense rock. He's just a bit immature.

Anyways, a certain thing I wanted to point out. Basically after seeing Mavis, Natsu grabs her and clings to her. Zeref gets a little jealous over her. This is absolutely not the real version of Zeref. He's the one Natsu's mind created. A possessive Zeref. It makes sense right? Natsu would do the same with his wife. Heck every single man will do that. Which means when it comes to a certain someone, Natsu is just like any other man.

Gray is a perfect example. In the last episode he dragged Juvia out of there when she started stripping in front of others. He said her body belonged to him. Even Glenn-

It's pretty much natural for anyone to be possessive of the people they love.

My conclusion of the post is : Natsu thinks that Lucy's time, her attention (both physically and emotionally) are only for him. He can touch her, hug her, grab her, grope her or even see her naked if he wants, he can prank her, tease her and be with her all the time. As per him, it's only his right. He can't tolerate it if anyone else tries to get close to her especially if it's physical contact.

That's why it's pretty obvious why we don't see a possessive and territorial Natsu more often. They're always with each other and these types of situations don't occur frequently so Natsu never gets to openly express his feelings like he did in the latest chapter.

This may seem like a small moment but I think the wording here actually suggests something huge for Natsu!

People have flirted with and inappropriately touched Lucy before and Natsu either laughed it off or didn’t care.

Now someone’s inappropriately touching Lucy and Natsu is FURIOUS! He’s reacting to it the way a boyfriend would react to someone inappropriately touching his girlfriend!

Granted, Lucy also isn’t happy about Natsu’s hand being there either but he’s just trying to help her out!

This could also support the theory that Natsu already thinks he and Lucy are a thing. “Where do you think you’re slipping in-between?” Has some possessive vibes to it. Sort of like “get your hands off my girl” kind of vibes.

This moment may be small but it has big implications! 🎉
